Easiest way is to just download the latest version and just overwrite https://downloads.cardforge.org/dailysnapshots/

I did this, and Forge won't load past 56%

overwrite sometimes fail, safest is to extract to new folder

So I extracted the cardfolder.zip to a new folder as well as extracted the entire res folder, is that what you were suggesting?
