Red alert Failing peer to peer connection

• I have tried privado vpn, and also PIA
• I have set the ip to local and to the vpn interface when using vpn
• I tried setting my computer as DMZ in the router
• I tried manually port forwarding
• The issue is only with me, my other friends have no problem
• I reinstalled the game
• I reinstalled windows

@tame zodiac Yo, this problem might need port solution,
the issue is connection between players 1-2 etc
and its red alert 3

I was in the voice call with them, hense the drop of vpn options.
think you can help with that? 🙂

Alright I tried Hide.me and PrivadeVPN Tunnelbear and Winscribe, and none work

oh and to clear up confusion for horse, its only arnovda that has the problem.
the other are friends of him and i gave all of them the community patch for ra3 🙂

It just gave the same error, I can get online and join lobbies it just doesnt work when the host starts

And you have it to all players or only to a specific player?

And while using a VPN make sure it select the vpn IP in your game settings

I tried with three different players and its with all of them, and yes I did select the ip, most of the time it was like 172. or 10.

ok well if you have tried other regions like picking a different country and it still doesn't work, it seems you have a serious problem that i don't have a good answer for

And please show me a screenshot of the "bypass" list in the settings of privado

i'm amazed at the fact that no one suggested the FirewallPortOverride issue for RA3, which is most of the time the hidden leading cause of network issues 😄

This might be a configuration issue with the game. Please try the following to hopefully fix your network related issue:

• Close the game.
• Go to %appdata%\Red Alert 3\Profiles
• Then go to the folder named after your in-game profile name.
• Then open the Options.ini file.
• There is a line in that file that starts with FirewallPortOverride. Delete this whole line in the file.
• Then save the file.
• Start the game and try to start online multiplayer.
• Let us know whether the above worked for you or not.
