RA3 online - Game crashes

My red alert 3 games are not starting. I can join lobbies but as soon as the game is supposed to start, the app just closes. The game is from steam and I followed the guide steps. the only thing I might be missing is VPN but there is no mention on the guide for that need. is VPN needed? Could it be something else?

I also want to add that I still haven't been able to play a game, it's not that I used to and now just doesn't work so it could be something wrong with my setup, although the steps were short. I tried both hosting and joining games and it's the same result.

after you've made the video and the crash happened, please post the "Tacitus.log" file that you will find in the Data folder of RA3-installation folder

please first start the game once, go into the tacitus overlay, go to the misc tab, enable "verboselog" and hit the "Save" button

Then close the game, start the game and only then try to reproduce the crash

and after the crash happened, then look for the tacitus.log file and post it here

This makes sure that the maximum amount of log-information is provided by Tacitus

new issue: Cant find tacitus log or the ra3 installing file

Go to the steam Library entry of the game, right click, Mange, then browse local files or something like that

Don't restart the game till you have found the log

It stays frozen for about 10 seconds then crashes
