Could not connect to backend server RA3 [SOLVED] | C&C:Online | Page 1

I fresh installed RA3 and CNC online, hooked the game, proceeded to open, use server login details, and got the Could not connect to backend server.
I followed these instructions which did not help [https://gist.github.com/STK0Cervanthes/b78291a6a658a48bd8abcc9e2485970a]
I also followed similar issues players had in #support and which led me to reinstall the game and rehook. But was met with the same issue.

What I know so far:
It's probably somewhere on my end. Because I used my friends server login details and did not get in.

What do I do now?

And no, VPN doesn't work either, I've already looked through the forum and what I found here in Discord. Nothing helped

@fierce coyote Do you still have the problem and use the game via Steam? Because I also had the problem but have now got it running.

run c&c online launcher without admin and start the game Hook
close c&c launcher, start the game via Steam, then the c&c online launcher will open.
steam shows that red alert would be started. Then start Red Alert in the c&c online launcher.
the c&c launcher will now show "No feedback", just wait, it takes 2-3min until Red Alert starts.
simply log in online now and play.

This worked for me, I got the idea from another report 🙂

Red Alert must also not be run as Admin.

*you might need to give it admin permission to actually perform the action of hooking the game during the first step, but beyond that it shouldn't have/need admin.
