controlled where?
guh
the EU? US? does it include legal drugs like alcohol
I have a feature in a bot called /drugs where you buy perks to catch animals, this falls under the not allowed guidelines?
Ppl make discord bots and server for ts?
Is it irl drugs?
No, all gamified
You should be good then
Not sure tho, I'd recommend asking
Wait for xiuh to finish typing
If it is something that you can purchase over the counter from a drugstore or other publicly accessible outlets such as alcohol stores, then that would not fall under these categories.
Why would you sell any of that on your server or through your bot or even mention it lol
so which country or countries is it based in
because in the Netherlands you can go into a cafe and buy weed
so basically no mention of prescribed drugs like adderall
just curious - my bots don't feature any such content just want it clarified for others
Illegal or controlled would be handled under the jurisdiction of the Netherlands (Top.gg based) and California/US (Discord based).
Will it be automatically filtered? What if your description has something like "No talking about drugs" or more specific
is this to comply with the age filtering policies so bots aren't considered a bypass?
i said "cataine" in one of my /news posts am i cooked
We will be treating it similarly to how we treat mentioning NSFW - if its "no nsfw/drugs" or "anti-nsfw/drugs" then that would not be policied.
It might be beneficial to rename the command to perks instead then right?
We will be moderating incoming bots/servers through the queue, but established bots and servers we will start moderating by searching related items/tags on the site to remove them and then by reports after that, correct.
what about triviabot questions?
I actually have no idea if any questions are about drugs, if they are theyd be medical or history e.g. the Chinese opi#m war. is that permitted or will someone have to go through and take them out
there are like quarter of a million questions to check if true
We will be lenient in cases where the intent is educational.
it is educational yes not promotional
trivia is less educational and more fun, i argue
wikipedia command probably falls under education
educational isnt the right word - i guess informative
The intent of this rule is to prevent people from selling, facilitating the discussion of illegally obtaining, and/or exposing younger audiences to this kind of content (drugs/controlled substances) while on our Website
w!
Usually in the US, federal law usurps state law if there is a difference
it's legal in both California and parts of the Netherlands
In my country, where my bot is based and has users only from it, there is no specific ban on marijuana. Is there still a problem?
note not ALL of the Netherlands? correct me if I'm wrong
We don't have different laws per state in the netherlands
but its only allowed in licensed premises in Amsterdam isnt it?
or did I get that wrong
Not only amsterdam
You can get fined for using it on the street tho
but that's more of a tourism problem in amsterdam
I see, like you can't take booze out of the pub in the UK legally, it's against their license
TOS / guidelines are usually global / unfazed by a country's laws

MENTION? What about my Google bot! You could Google that
You can, that was recently changed
they can sell "takeaway pints"
Are chemical formula names of legal and not controlled substances or generic medication names that are solely for the purpose of education allowed?
User input such as google commands, wikipedia commands, etc is never policied for purposes of our guidelines
except nsfw
I see, so it just can't be the main intended feature, right?
Im more intrested. Was someone making a selling bot for this sht?
If something exists there’s a discord server about it atp
The timing is interesting yeah, like why now specifically
Why not years ago lol
Ye
Yeah, I have no issues, just checking ❤️
because we are actually trying to foster a safe space
if instead of facilitating the sale I directly sell drugs is that ok
i think even if you are doing it directly its still facilitation
Xiun. What i want to know. What mde yall think of this?
^
Yeah but smth more then that
Bc there usially some thought like "wait do we protect agents (unrelated x) and it works to that ifra
We want younger audiences to be safe on our website - not just from NSFW but also other topics such as this.
my bad chat
abi how could you 😂
Age Verification
In order to use Top.gg’s social features, such as reading and posting reviews, users will now need to complete age verification to proceed
dont spoil our april fools joke
nah the real april fools joke is a "Top.gg Files" with all the selfies
The top.gg files = reviewer notes of every bot ever submitted
these jokes are brand suicide
Istg
Lol
The fckin age verification sht is out of hand now
Thank you UK! For screwing it tf up
the veld files (it's receipts for coke zero)
Where’s the $TOP cryptocurrency
> leaves EU
> decides to screw everyone over
okay UK, thanks.
unfortunate but true
and pizza
Diet Pepsi is better
I just drink coca cola
they should make you a brand ambassador for coke zero
I wanted to say the original cola was the best, but that's illegal to say now
nominate me pls
I'll drive to amsterdam and throw cokes at Veld until he pays me to stop (he wont)

Why would he pay you to stop giving him free stuff

Can my bot have kinder eggs
It's over for all the german GTA 5 RPers
🙏🙏
yeah, or like marijuana
This is the only line that mentions something similar to what was in the announcement. Am I safe?
I'm not entirely certain but I think your server name is more the issue here
How, it literally says the abbreviation in the name
It’s been changed
