each category will have one more voting session where you can vote for your favoured out of the top 4 picks

Listing doesn't work anymore, Anime tag used to get 8k impressions, a lots of clicks now it's 2.5k something. Feels bad to stay up until 1am to bid war for just. Votes does nothing really unless it's way up there.

Something to highlights ongoing events in bot, like seasonal events.

Someone can make bad review without using the bot, like from 5 different account in a short period of time, and that review stays top forever.

10s countdown for vote way too long, 7s is a more sweet spot, even 8s would work, 10s just feels too long.

While we are at it, maybe try adding documentation feature. Something like Gitbook, so it all can be on same site. Or like an installation/setup guide page within the main page, bcuz people don't want to read main page, but if its something every bot has, people will look at it, maybe.

Something like a weekly pick or something every week a bundle of new bots picked at random and once get in the pick, maybe can't be in the pick for next 4 weeks. This is just an idea.

We have an updates section, where we also have some designs for a "this bot recently had an update" to promote activity in that fashion, alongside that there's also some ideas where you can "follow" bots to get a more personalized version of a homepage

Things have been trending this way, but definitely want to make it more dynamic

countdown may need a tweak, but i feel pretty unsure about it really. I do agree with the captcha it became a bit more of a chore

@dense merlin Could top.gg add a feature wherein users can vote with 2-3hrs variance for a certain time, like if I want to vote each day for the bot at 9 I should be able to do it, but in case I miss it by an hour and vote at 10 it should still count as 9 Oclock vote

but i wouldn't be opposed to making it 10 minutes

just need to make sure that it doesn't mean the timer will just be lower overall

I always miss the voting by half hour or hour and it just keeps getting pushed ahead and ahead so finally I resort to not vote for some time to get it back to cycle and this happens every week

I won't mind if relaxation is given based on previous votes for the bot

I don't use Top.gg to search for bots (I usually find bots in the servers I already am on; I mostly use Top.gg for voting for bots because some game bots somewhat forces us to do so), there are too many (required) questions in this survey that I can't respond to. 🤔

10 minutes might be too short (there are real-life things like eating that can take more time than that), a 30-minutes pre-vote time (so the vote counts precisely 12 hours after the previous vote) is an interesting idea.

this is terrible idea to vote during the event, how we should determine which bot is the best if we don't have time to test all possible options?

the initial plan for the event was to make the vote one month ago and then reveal the voting result on stage

then in November the plan changed and you said that the staffs does the vote internally, and voting won't be done by users

and then you changed the mind again and do voting before the event?
