You probably provided a link to the Discord webhook and it doesn't work that way. The webhook that should be provided is your webhook, i.e. the address of the web server thanks to which you will be able to receive post requests from top.gg

Or you can use any other third party service such as vote tracker

There is also https://webhook-topgg.com which allows you to use the Discord webhook, but when it comes to third party services, you will have to ask for any help on their support servers because they are not officially supported by top.gg

A buddy and mine had a budget of $30, we went in on a section, and got outbid.. we were a good 4/5 grey names down the list.

We then went and spent our $30 somewhere else, only to met with a bill for $30 a week later, because someone didn't pay, the impressions we're automactically given to us, and the $30 bill fell in our laps.

It's a ridiculous system.. if you're outbid, you should not have to fear the potential chance of winning the bid due to others not paying.

It simply makes people not want to bid anywhere else, in fear of being charged twice. Ultimately due to this fear, Top.gg are probably losing out...

Why not simply make it a togglable option...

If you were outbid, and want to just discard it so you don't get unexpected impressions down the line, then you will need to open an auctions ticket and ask for your bid to removed.

Then you won't get the extra impressions if people dont pay and whatnot

With the toggle, you're essentially saying "if i get outbid, just cancel my bid - I wont pay"

My point is this, if you have a budget of $30, and you are outbid on a certain slot, you essentially can not go and bid anywhere else incase there is a slight chance whoever outbid you doesn't pay.

And then if they do pay, you end up with nothing.

my budget is $50 and I bid $50 for those 100 impressions.

someone else comes along and bids $51 for those 100 impressions.

what do I now do at this point? I still want to spend $50 this week, so do I go and bid somewhere else and potentially end up paying $100 because the $51 bid doesn't pay?

or do I not place anymore bids and just hope that the $51 bid doesn't pay?

I fully agree here, however, when you put in your "max budget" of $50, you essentially put it in twice when you placed a second bid.

There should be an option for an overall budget across all your bids, or similar. Then each time you place a bid, it subtracts the max budget for that from your overall max budget.

That would be the only way to battle that really

but to answer your scenario above, you just make a ticket to cancel your bid. That's how you prevent the bid from going through

if you think of a giveaway, if the rolled winner doesn't claim the price, the pot gets rerolled. It's the same type of thing. We don't want the slot to run empty for a week, so we keep going until someone wishes to claim.

Honestly I think a toggle option like "Remove bid if auction ends and you are outbid" would be huge for everyone.

it gives bot devs the safety net of knowing they can go and bid their budget elsewhere.

and due to that, it'll probably encourage people to bid elsewhere once outbid = more bids, less blank space etc
