i remember doing this, is your professor giving you projects to craft the data structure manually in a programming language?

we used java, but i think we did arrays, stacks, queues, linked list (singly and doubly), red/black trees, binary trees, hash tables, we also did all sorts of search algorithms in the projects. I forget which tbh, alot of people failed but i passed with flying colours. lol

Ahh, hopefully you get to code your data structure, it helps learning it easier. Just imo, but some will argue why code it when there are libraries already made that have been battle tested.

Better to have an understanding how to and when to use the data structure tho, I don't think I've found a need to manually code any of it out yet. Rather use libraries that have been thoroughly tested than try to make my own and introduce bugs lol.
