bun also implements node's n-api, so all node's native modules should work on bun, the performance difference is about 10-20% in node's favour depending on the type of work

more specifically node deals with string conversion between js and cpp better

bun's ffi interface is mostly the same performance as bun's n-api compatibility layer

which is pretty impressive for an ffi implementation

running a blank script 100x is roughly 2-3x faster with bun than in node

timed wih linux perf

so bun is very good for command line apps for example, where starting and stopping the engine is more of a factor than on a long running service

also, bun's package manager is much faster than npm or any other package manager

but it probably skips a lot of checks and stuff that other managers do
