Hey, so I don't know if any of the devs on the OpenRCT2 are aware yet but OpenRCT2 will sometimes stall when downloading multiplayer maps and you can usually never predict when it'll happen. There are also people complaining that they get stuck and then disconnected along with complaints about lag, do you have a fix in the works? Bonus edit: This also sometimes happen when reconnecting from desyncs.
#Multiplayer stalls when downloading maps randomly

Numerous players are experiencing this. It appears to be related to a change in the network buffer added in December of last year: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/pull/23385. The only fix I have been able to come up with that seems to work is for servers to use maps as small as possible by removing all custom objects.
i see you decided to make a post about it. i was gonna till i saw you made one. but yeah even for maps that are small in size and have custom scenery like roarke said i do not think that is the problem cause many server have both and i can still get in like GTW advanced is a big map, and has custom stuff. meanwhile Do wtf has no custom stuff and big map that was 2000+ Kibs and it still got stuck loading in the middle
then again it could be cause im not using my ethernet cable
@wooden smelt and i tried to get in do wtf yesterday and both of us couldnt get in with the map and objects being 2500 Kibs, got stuck in the middle stalling after 20 attempts
therefore i do not think it has to do with it being a big map and custom scenery
my internet was fine loading all this in February
