What is that Formula 1 thing ?
It was inspired by this https://lagoonhistory.com/project/attractions/top-eliminator/ but isn't quite the same. Mostly it was a demonstration of what the block booster piece can do.
The odds of the hydraulic launch coaster ever getting finished look very slim now. I regret doing that block booster stuff as I think it has basically killed the project by making it too complicated. It is also dependent on a refactor upstream which could be a long time coming. But before it was only waiting for that.
The pipeline coaster, if I ever go back to it, would probably only take a few days to finish, if even that
looks quite cool...You should do a tutorial on how to build that 😉
You want a tutorial on how to use a feature that isn't in the game yet? I suppose if you really want I could give a short explanation if how that ride works, it would give a better idea of what it is I am proposing to add.
Just saw Arieforce One on theme park worldwide. Is there any way I can convince you to give each rail on the hybrid coaster a seperate colour 🥺
I had considered this way back when the hybrid coaster was first implemented, though I didn't go ahead with it. I think I tested it at one point but it was very early on, I think pre 2016. Normally track pieces only have two remap colors. I don't know what's involved with adding a third.
The wooden coaster draws the railings as a separate sprite instead of having a third remap. Doing it this way is definitely not worth the effort, if it's relatively simple to add a third remap this could be done but then I can't see myself ever getting to it.

When I originally decided against implementing this, that decision was considered permanent because changing it would break existing saves. Now that the new save format is a thing, it would be possible to fix it with import code. Ultimately I think this is a fairly simple thing but I have a long list of things to do, and this is just not going to be a priority.
Because I got halfway through a major rewrite of my track rendering code and then stopped halfway through, I am currently not able to render new sprites for the hybrid coaster.
Understandable, of course. That long to-do list 😅 I know several people that have that issue 🥲
Is the separate third color wooden sprites just a holdover from RCT1 when there was only 2?
Or just to be able to reuse the same sprites between wooden/twister

that's fair enough...but I didn't know it wasn't in the game yet, as I don't know a lot about the coding etc.
