The predecessor to CS:2, CS:1 has way more power generation options! It had all the lot! My map is full of oil deposits, why cant I use it to generate power like the previous game?? Right now all my profit is going to importing coal for my power stations because my map doesent have alot of coal deposits to match the demand of my power stations. I WANT MORE POWER STATIONS! THEY ARE SUCH A CRUCIAL PART OF A CITY!!!!

There are seven types already
That's about as much as CS:I
Maybe add oil, but we already have basically enough options as CS:I
And there are also transformer stations to import
I would say the CS:II power system is much better
Also if you are importing coal are you importing to large or small Coal plants?
If large just upgrade to nuclear. Not that hard
I put the tag quality of life. I like to have variety. It's like in real life, areas with alot of coal mining going on are more likely to have more coal power plants. It would be alot cheaper to use my own oil that I've extracted from the ground rather than take up 1 quarter of the map with a stupid expensive nuclear power station
@eager garden
There is already a lot of variety. You can switch to gas power which uses petrochemicals processed from oil
Also nuclear plants don't use non-renewable natural resources, so could be cheaper in the long run
When you run out of oil you will have to take imports. When the city expands it (nuclear) would be the best choice as it is the most efficient
what about the uranium-235 imports and plutonium-238 storage after use????
i know what a nuclear power plant uses, i spent about 2 years studying them
i have over 3000 hours logged in the simulator
No the plant doesn't import in this game
how unrealistic! lets protest for uranium mining and the nuclear weapons industry!
There is a mod that adds like 3 more options, but these are like small, about the size of the coal powerplant and I thought 1 was even smaller then that. I forgot the name of the mod tho but I do know it's out there.
oh, thatd be nice

You can integrate the new mods regarding electrical assets and substations with this mod.
nuclear power plants produce so much power you gain money on electricity in almost any city smaller than 200k
