Sakurajima City

Welcome to Sakurajima City「桜島市」

It is a fictional Japanese city, located in a fractured island in the Shinkai Bay Area「新海湾地域」

In the future, it will feature densely packed suburbs, a bustling downtown, prosperous industries, and an International Airport located in a separate artificial island (IATA code: RJSJ).

I will slowly develop the city, and I will update this post accordingly with any progress I will make.

Though, in your case I would recommend not building many homes since it will be annoying to replace them after, instead building a big road layout

The Seika Elementary School has opened its doors to the students from Seika District (青花区). It features a plentyful of classrooms, a large playground, a well suited sports center, and a fresh swimming pool.

My progress so far.

First picture is the aerial view of the two most developed neighbourhoods (Nishibayashi and Seika Districts); second picture is a view from above of Seika District.

To make the crossing safer for the pedestrians, the City Hall of Sakurajima approved the renovation of the intersection next to Seika Elementary School, building a pedestrian island for the aforementioned crossing.

Yes, I used an edited image from Wikipedia as the template for the sign, then, I spent like a whole afternoon just to fix 3 fonts that I needed to use in the city (three versions of the Hiragino font; plus the Vialog font, which it imported seamlessly), and at the end, I made the sign using the Write Everywhere mod :)

I may return to Sakurajima City after quite a long hiatus :D

Should I consider resuming this city, after I fixed every issue that I had in the last 3 or so months when changing computer components, switching to Linux, having an odyssey to have a stable system, as well as to install and make Skyve functional inside Linux, and fixing some CTD because of some outdated or unstable mods?

Although I didn't build a lot today because I was fixing the remaining problems in the save, but I'm very happy to be able to return to this city :D

Actually lly i mean Metropolitan Expressway network but be sure to make a ring around the centre (then continue with rings until you reach the outermost ring, which will be a motorway)

(I heard it will make the city less walkable even though the expressway is elevated or underground. Maybe it won't be like that in your city)

ik the templates are kinda weird and have to be redone
