Thank you, here is a pic of the City Hall. In the foreground there is an abbey that was integrated into the city

on the left side you will notice a different style of architecture, which is due to a fire and a subsequent reconstruction sometime in the late 19th Century

yeah I wrote some pages of lore on Google Docs, it would still have to be edited and some more lore to be added but it covers the founding of the city to around the 80s

i just laid down the road of my city for now so mine isn't that cool as urs. u can go look at it if u want. i still don't have a name for it tho and also not sure if i want lore into it since i'm very bad at it but i do like lore's

Yeah its meant to be in the Mediterranean sea, maybe not too far from Mahon, so there is a lot of mediterranean influence. I also actually made this with Lumina (which bugged out and I had to remove it), so the red roofs actually looked a bit less red and orange

i also need to fix some roads because they appear really white now for some reason

it also bugged for me but i reinstalled it and now its working fine

for me my inspiration is a mix of Germany and France (more like paris cause od all the roundings it has)

im not really good at road layout so ill be taking a lot of inspiration from ur city, specially this area

I think i came up with it as it went along. It does look European but a good tip i would say is to start with one central area (with a big church, city hall, port, or something else) and then make the roads spread out randomly like octopus arms

I think Northern france and germany have cities like that

starting to extend to the other side of the river, there is where i wanna create my own but not really good at it 😅

hmm one thing which could be cool is if you make a sort of cargo dock area in the mouth of the river like Amsterdam

you could even look at the road layout of amsterdam but its tricky

Generally for your kind of city id say its like a spiders web with some sections that are a bit gridlike

also remember to use move it and anarchy to make buildings attached together (in blocks), with a courtyard or gardens in the centre

If you see theres not really like lines of buildings, its more like blocks with courtyard in the centre with roads around it. Alleyways are generally not as common in European cities as they are in North America. But yeah it looks very european this way

i sadly lost the save about a week ago that's why I'm starting this new one. now houses yet since I'm focused on the road and interchanged first. but i do plant some building to see how big they are so i can place the road adjusted to it

try to make a park or important building first then make a bunch of larger roads expanding out of it like a web, then you can try putting smaller roads to connect everything else. Usually that will give you a good european road layout

me personally i live in an eu country so for sure that is European. and id actually love to live there. looks very rich with the football stadium, but i don't see no central/main station

Its not very European to have a raised station but i didnt have much space

it actually is! there are many stations that are above or under ground!

good examples are Amsterdam and berlin

yeah because its an island, it only really goes through the city and to the airport, not to other cities. I think there is one line that goes to the race track which i havet posted pics of yet

I will definitely make a north german or france city like you at some point though and will make a big grand train station. Actually im working on a tropical brazilian island and i think that one will have a much bigger station

Btw im also from Europe, from Luxembourg, which has a unique layout because its built on top of an awkward valley
