During the clearance of the washed out Moreton International Airport (#1220765363449495562), an officer was struck by automatic gunfire from within the airport's wasteland. A large police response was activated.

As spoken about on #1220765363449495562, the county were clearing out the disused and damaged airport to be rebuilt after the tsunami. This involved clearing squatters from the land. During clearance operations an officer was struck by automatic gunfire from within the airport, activating a large response. Officers from all over responded along with SWAT and other specialist teams and other agencies too.

Very quickly the entirety of Airport Boulevard had become taken over by police covering every possible gate of the airport and setting up a large-scale perimeter. Command posts were established with other agencies and mutual aid responded in from out of the county. It was believed there were multiple gunmen, likely the gangs that operated within the squatter communities.

Gunfire ceased and a stand off ensued. Gunmen could be seen moving around the airport taking up firing positions. SWAT personnel setup with armoured trucks and sniper positions. It was going to be a long night for the county as it went into tactical-alert.

The police didn't know how many gunmen there were at the time and it was a very large area to cover. An extensive perimeter was in place and a Command Post and staging area was established on an empty plot of land nearby. The FBI and other federal agencies, Fire Department and hospital EMS were assisting Moreton County Police. The Sheriff Department from the next county also assisted. There were calls for the National Guard to intervene too.

The stand off continued into the next day as police were putting together a plan. Road around the airport remained shut and barriers setup to keep back crowds.

With enough officers in place and a full perimeter, SWAT teams moved in on the airport. Every grid of land in the abandoned airport was being covered, rubble cleared and every building searched. Police at this point believed there were at least 6 gunmen but were also concerned due to the squatters that were still in the area.

As tactical teams cleared the land, many unarmed squatters were picked up and lead away to be arrested for trespassing on airport land.

I'd recommend downloading some prop mods and using I think Move It! and some other tools to place them. There's a few crashed cars you could use and pedestrian props to make scenes like the cops you see here.

As squatters were being arrested and moved onto prison busses, protestors gathered nearby. Officers had to deal with an active shooter situation and a protest, putting strain on law enforcement resources.

That sounds familiar. I did all of this last year so can't remember now but I think it was TAEMIN B. Absolutelly amazing props by this creator! Truly awesome.

Grid by grid, the old airport was cleared. Tactical teams had to work extra hard clearing the old terminal that was destroyed by the tsunami. The rubble here hadn't been cleared and had many hiding places for gunmen. Police helicopters utilised thermal imaging and K9s also assisted.

In total 6 gunmen were discovered fatally shot as the airport was cleared out by tactical teams. 5 officers and 3 civilians, including a county worker, were transported to the hospital with Gun Shot Wounds and survived the ordeal. The land became a crime scene and as time went on remained abandoned for many years...

Some of the models were broken. I forget the mod needed but there was a mod that allowed you to change props into something else and it fixed the models. I really can't remember the name now.
