[I might not recall the whole post that we had before to this topic]

We would like to see a more detailed aviation part of the game. With customizable airports, custom taxi & departure routes, and more (pls add your thoughts below, I will edit the post accordingly to sum it up)

Basically the main idea is to get the Airport DLC from CS1 to CS2 but even more detailed:

  • be able to draw custom taxiways & runways + custom position of terminals, hangars, etc... You know the drill 😄

  • maybe have a separate wind system so the runway in use will change. I know the current wind on the map does not change and this makes sense (kind of) since this is the "average wind" in this region. But the airport could have its own little wind system which affects the direction into which planes are arriving & departing

  • define departure route points (which will specify where pollution gets created, around these points. Also it allows for difficult airport positions e.g. alpine airports)

  • add a small airstrip / airfield

  • [tbc...]

yup. upcaling the terminal to a more real size in CS2 is a nice start, but runway to taxiway proximity is cartoonish... also - how about tiny regional airports?

something like airports dlc but a bit more detailed and fleshed out

and so the planes dont nose dive and turn sharp when they approach, it needs to be realistic

Yeah I would love a Airports like DLC but with a massvie upgrade. Airport runways and taxiways in the CS1 Airports were not realistic at all. MODS could fix it but runways should be able to cross and have more that two taxiway connections.

only landing and takeoff the gear must be down

Very true, and showing flaps would be cool too, but I guess that would be hard work

Thought it was a 777

the 777 uses 3 wheels for the gears

They have to update the way the airports work. You don't manually plan routes from other cities. Airlines can choose to fly to your destination or not
