#EPISODE 2

They literally beat eachother up for fun jerk off in the barracks and play with plasma grenades
Why set it in some unexplored region so they don’t need to fuck with some established lore when they can DESTROY ESTABLISHED WEST COAST and start from scratch again.
This is most likely the result of them recruiting random wastelanders due to low numbers unlike the eastern brotherhood which is more wary to inviting wastelanders to their ranks
Woo hoo
LETS BLOW UP SHADY SANDS!
Honestly though
The scene they did for shady sands
Its perfect
WOOOHOOOO AND LETS PRETEND THE NCR IS ONLY ONE CITY!
The training is vastly different.
Peopel forget, the Eastern Brotherhood had those fuckers TRAINED often.
Love how the Ark of the Covenant is in the Area 51 hanger
you had radiant quests to take recruits out ALL the time
Fuck even the raw recruits during Lyons time as Elder were better trained then this
Yeah that’s what I mean
Why didn’t the guards check the cargo before it entered the city? Are they stupid?
And Lyons was rushing their training
The recruitment process for wastelanders was more serious you had to actually do stuff
Yeah because of the enclave and mutant threat.
I mean the Enclave didnt really become a threat until 2277
The knights of San Fernando probably just took in anyone they viewed as easy to indoctrinate
And here something that no body takes for granted but is very true
The BoS operating at east coast was casually in the CAPITAL WASTELAND, THE MOST HOSTILE PLACE IN THE SERIES
The SHEER EXPERIENCE THAT EACH SOLDIER GETS IS UNMEASUREABLE
That’s why they are all so young
Lyons was rushing recruits ever since the Outcasts left
No, they were still active. Llyon's had reports, he just didn't have hard confirmation, yet. And Eden was also active since Navarro.
Doesn’t this mean a high casualty rate
I know that but until 2277 it was just Enclave Radio
the worst for me is that they let a CIVILIAN mess with the bomb instead of calling a ranger or someone with experience
they heard the guy saying “patrolling the mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter” and probably went “yeah that checks out”
Most members in the knights of San Fernando look like literally teenagers or younger than 21
but it alligns with how stupid the ncr was at that time
Yes
Hence any surviving soldier in the east coast is far dangerous than anyone in the west coast BoS
That the thing
That how dangerous the east coast was
Yes, but they had to have people maintain stuff like the mobile walker/base, etc etc. I'm just saying - the Enclave was active, but not precieved in the public, Llyon's had an idea but he didn't know for sure. So he was preparing for the worst.
Being a member of the eastern brotherhood you are guarenteed to have more combat experience and more expedition work than on the west
No one else took demolition expert perk
Realistically that would mean there are very few combat experienced veterans left.
His dad clearly wasn’t an idiot and a ranger doesn’t equal engineer or ordinance disposal
Well counter argument
At the end of fallout 3, they are effectively the only faction with power armor
That’s why getting sent on a mission on the west was such a big deal to them because they mostly don’t do anything
Based on what? There is no lore to suggest he was preparing for the Enclave. Just focused on the Super Mutants
Dane was so scared he injured himself
Dane?
yeah, i understand his dad was a qualified person but it's a damn nuke man, take maximus dad off of it and call for someone with anti-bomb experience
I'm still convinced Dane snitched to the Commonwealth.
Who the hell is dane?
the chick with the mustache
Dane was selected to go on the mission with knight Titus originally but was scared so he put a blade in his boot
Oh wasnt it that obvious
Wait dane a he?
i thought dane was a she?
Bog standard patrol and return to base. Complacency and possible laziness
All things a US base guard is capable of today even lol
^
dane’s a he??
A girl but wants to be a boy I guess
SO SAY DANE A SHE
NOT A HE???
I just say he cuz looks more like a dude than a female to me
Okay that make sense but still
And Dane is a dude name
Honestly who knows
I guess the radiation made her grow a stache?
Why is the concept of a non-binary person so hard to understand for some people
Its kinda obvious dane a she
Yeah, i was surprised people questioned this, genuinely. Stuff gets missed in checkpoints all the time.
I assume it’s time issue and it was likely that there would be anyone who knew what to do.
Besides canonical disabling a nuke isn’t a massive explosives skill check.
maybe dane isnt a she or a he
Why would there be non binary people in a wasteland
You do know woman can techinally grow facial hair
Very little but can
maybe a they
Nobody has time for that shit in a post apocalypse
I'm talking about the actor
Uh-huh darling.
Yeah I mean the amount of videos I’ve seen of skits about base guards being asleep or actually asleep is not small lol
Whatever
Hey, props to Max's dad though, he tried.
Nope
This is a post apocalypse world
This would never work here
Maybe in starfield, maybe mass effect, maybe majority of games
But never on a post apocalpyse world
NEVER NEVER NEVER
They spam the same voicelines because they’re controlled by Mr house vvv vvvv????
NCR role
Elitist
Typical
Wdym I’ll grow up
Yeah plus he acted quickly knowing he could save his son and only his son and with a clear calm head.
How is my remark elitist
Yooo, chill - talk about the show, no need to go to a back and forth on it.
He's a good man
I ain’t dreaming right
hey man, not all of us are like that
There’s only 2 genders
Uh-huh.
@sand thicket @tame current
Stop the discussion or i am gonna ping staff
My brother in absolute christ.
being non-binary wouldn’t work in a wasteland where you have giant green men running around and synthetic humanoids replacing people
You are involved in this too
If you want to pretend to be a girl or boy go ahead idgaf but your still biologically a male or a female
Y'all stop, seriously.
No i am not
I drop the conversation so i can talk about the show
SHUT UOUR MOUTH AND ASWER ME
Both of you are keeping it going.
I'm stopping idk about them
Look
Lets just agree that the west coast BoS ARE PIECE OF SHIT AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN DOWN
It just sucks that the first natural pure water - without a purifier, was destroyed. It actually does hint at the land was healing and radiation is starting to subside in areas.
the BoS entirely needs to be taken down, glory to the Republic!
I thought the green trees was clear enough that its healing
Same reason there are non binary people today, they exist.
Drop it
Talk show
Yeah, kill the West.
Youre with the east coast
Youre fine
Dawg what

I'm more frustrated that only one of the Western chapters was sensible?
taken down… to the FEV vats
Which one?
There 4 of them
And i think one of them is in texas
The eastern bos is the real bos now
Anyways. @tame current How was the episode?
I don't hate the idea that they devolved, that much is pretty much guaranteed without a unified leader for tribes. Period.
The female one seemed normal, at the very least. quintus and the other two are unhinged beyond belief.
There’s a reason why Quintus had to call for all the other chapters to even take them on
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
The eastern chapter still has liberty prime
Yeah the grand canyon one is uhh
Okay side note, can i just have confirmation if this guy is in texas or not
This guy SCREAM texas
I DUNNO - I don't wanna jump the gun and say yes, but we don't know.
I doubt they'd even need Liberty Prime to take on these 4 chapters
i dont remember the grand canyon being in texas
They've got the numbers, the training
they wouldn't need liberty.
Fuck it
He screams texas to me
Texas guy it is
No they need freedom
Grand Canyon isn't in Texas though
Gringo sense of geography
That NCR ranger…I hope we see them later this season.
We see an airship get shot down I would bet it wasn’t even the commonwealth it was one the 4 chapters turning on them
Shall we take bets on which Chapter loses the airship first ???
The grand canyon is in new york bro
Yosemite
Nah, Grand Canyon is on Mars
I don't think Quintus and his chapter would lose theirs, unless?
No you fool it is in Uranus
Well yeah
There were 4 air ships so clearly non the commonwealth and lets be honest
If there was
THERE WOULD BE A GIANT ALARM THAT SIGNAL ANOTHER AIRSHIP ON THE WAY!
Because we saw there was already animosity
Unless. 👀
👀
I forgot who was arguing at the meeting but it was the Yosemite elder girl and some other elder
I still do think Shady isn't in LA proper
Until Quintus called for order in the court f
That skyline dosen't look like LA to me
Bakersfield?
I dont think anyone even know which country they suppsoed to be
Canon wise did Liberty Prime ever get deployed in Alaska? I’ve always wondered if there might be another up north unused or still capable of being completed
Nah
Lancaster
It is a Fallout thing were places without skyscrapers seem to have skyscrapers because of
Science and population and stuff
Goes back all the way to FO1 with Bakersfield, actually
One in a tribe
One is in grand canyon but sound texas as hell
I forgot the other one
Also -
Having confirmation of the two Legion leaders.
Macaulay culkin as Legate.
Keleti Williams as Kaiser.
Colorado
The forgotton one
Oh, really? I'd assumed it was the other way around
Just Legate?
Correction
Coronado
I dont think so
He probably has a name it hasn't been revealed.
I think the power source issue wasn't fixed until the BOS
Kaiser?
Wait correct me if i am wrong about rome history but i thought leader were emperors
Yep! I thought so too, explains why the Legate is a short king though.
Was the Grand canyon BOS supposed to be like the Texas bos
THEY CHANGED IT.
I’m surprised Quintus didn’t butcher the pronunciation of Yosemite
It can't be Lanius
Dosen't look like Lanius
It's Kaiser now.
It's not.
That what i am saying
They are somehow different and yet act texas
New character
It’s not Lanius, no way. Probably a new Legate.
Where are you getting this info
This might be useful
Such as Lanius was Legate Lanius, Joshua was the Malpais Legate, - this new Legate probably has a title.
The Kaiser Legate?
Interviews! @cold jetty posted them, and i look for them after to read. lol
Fantastic is the new Legate
i'll grab the picture.
What I’m confused is there’s a new Caesar and it’s not Mculkin apparently.
if you put the fallout 1 map and a map of socal side by side then shady sands should be somewhere around lone pine, fresno or visalia
@coarse grove
How much are you willing to bet that lucy will be a whole different person after she escpae the legion camp
i beg, i need her to stop with the golden rule. lol
No wait hold on
Kaiser as in the pronunciation
It's a Caesar
The golden rule is perfect
Caesar is pronounce Kaiser
Genuinely, so many opportunities to learn that it doesn't work in the wasteland
She clearly following the golden rule AJAX
Yeah but do the same with FO2 and it moves up towards Bishop
battle for Earth
Bakersfield in FO1 wasn't even in Bakersfield
Oh shit so we ARE going for a Legion successionist problem.
YES. ROMULUS AND REMUS.
OH YEAH LETS GO!
Wait fuck
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
WE ABOUT TO GET THE WORST TYPE OF NEW VEGAS FANS
THE LEGION FANS
Cool it with the cap spam
I’m so happy that they didn’t retcon the whole “the Legion is mostly fucked without Caesar running everything” idea stated multiple times in NV
i will deal with legion fans if it means I can glaze Anchorage for a whole fucking week in the Flashback episode. idc.
HANK IS IN THE ENCLAVE THEORY: None of the other "Manager Overseers" have an inkling to progress mind control tech. Mr House only wanted to progress technology, and take humanity to space. The only reason Hank would want to control the wastes is for The Enclave..
They did but they specify the brothers united them back. So it's like - a scale of balance.
finally the legionboos can stfu abt “oh a civil war wouldnt happen after caesar dies”
Aye ive had this in my pocket for the past 2 years
LET ME AT THEM!
I doubt they wholly brought back the Legion, only some submissive tribes.
It's a decent chunk, not as big, but still big nonetheless.
@cold jetty you are a swell guy for image fetching
Can I ask you a favour? I'm just suspecting something
fallout is never this serious bro
Oooh
What is it
THE DEMON IN THE SNOW? DRAGOONS? IN ANCHORAGE?
People who hate the Legion:
I need it.
Alright call me up when it ep5
I know that gambling time
What is it
Can you find the first establishing shots of the start of the two episodes we have so far?
Pretty please, I forgot my manners for a moment mb
Fisto appearance in Episode Five, calling it RIGHT NOW.
The Handoff throws me fucking OFF.
I think the Cold fusion gets stolen, tbh.
We see the ghoul Dominatrix.
Oh yeah
Moldaver was right
The BoS just used cold fusion in LA to check if it was working lol
Then they took it out
yep
shoved that mf into Area 51 to infinitely make Fusion Cores.
Shady looked beautiful actually
it really did.
Expected Shady Sands to be a bit bigger. Not like BIG BIG, but just more impressive enough.
Idk
I love it looks but it way too damn small
I also miss the laser gate from Fallout 2.
All that green is already impressive to me
To have that much green is a good sign
Yeah same lol
Maybe resources to keep it running after expansion weren't enough
Plus they didn't expect any attacks towards Shady so they ripped them apart
Yes
Anyways
Oh look red button
This, and this leads more credence for me to believe the NCR pulled out completely because they don't know wtf happened to Shady Sands since they probably didn't have any issues in a while aside from typical wasteland stuff.
Now we need the pic of the Ranger and the NCR soldiers please @cold jetty
ended up being behind on watching the ep this week, but just finished. Really liked it! Glad to see the brotherhood storylines get in motion. Shady Sands was great, glad we got a different flashback of Maximus LOL. I'm very curious where Norm's storyline will go now since we're only on ep 2 and him being out of the vault was, as far as I remember, the end of everything from the trailers and idk where else it would be going.
And like Legion something something whatever
Also goddamn, I liked the Area 51 stuff, loved the references in there.
Anyways yeah I'm really suspecting something
Like, wasn't the first shot for the first episode this but for LA?
If it is exactly the same then this could actually just mean Shady is LA now
The image of civilization
"ICE BOX."
Still, loved the Zetans got some attention.
I clocked that Alien ship under the tarp immediately and honestly I was already happy with that haha but the Zetans showing up is peak Fallout like..."huh? wtf" experience for me
God, I hope the Hub, Vault City, and Arroyo are fine.
The NCR ranger armor looks wrong
Some new vegas fan
I’m a NV fan and I say fuck that noise. It looks perfect, not to mention it’s the advanced riot armor, which makes it even cooler imo.
Yes
But the joke is that
Keep in mind the sign on Shady Sands said FIRST NCR CAPITAL. Implying there's more.
Or they could've moved to another city, and that's the main one.
I always assumed it meant like a state capitol or something.
Given Kimball died in that nuke, I think it was more important, also someone said it earlier - it looks like the bomb was stopped near the Senate building they had.
I wonder what backlot they shot Shady Sands on. I'm not good enough to tell 🙁
I found it
I hope Kimball died in that explosion.
No way these are the same skylines right?
Same, what an actual worthless president - he fucked the NCR so bad man.
That building with the sphere at the top looks awfully similar to one in the second picture.
Literally his policies, and expansion is what caused the NCR to suffer so much.
Hard to tell.
Yeah I can see but I have the impression Shady's skyline was a whole lot more dense than LA
I mean
If we are having doubts it should tell us something isn't necesarily similar methinks
Get that geoguesser guy who makes social media stuff on these skylines lol
Plus plus
I didn't see a seaboard
Ugh I wish
Rest in piece shady sands, should have been rivet city
I think they're just going to leave SS's location pretty ambiguous
I just praying to god that Todd didn't touch the rest of the NCR.
We're going to Camp Golf in the next episode or two.
Or just have a throwaway line like "Oh yeah, the rest of the cities fell after that".
No way they did
We still have a lot more of troopers to see I think
Ultimately it comes across most like it's just a generic "somewhere in central california" sort of vibe to me and I think ends up maintaining that
WHICH SOMEHOW, the NCR still holds control over Camp Golf, so.
I will say again
They have made a whole new type of power armor
They should be somewhat well off
I don't see that. Looks empty, there's no one guarding it, tents look to be mostly empty too.
Somewhat
The misfits
I trained them well
The interview says otherwise, lol
i'll find it again.
Wha?
There's like a bajillion interviews, which one?
Wait hold on
Victor is in Camp Golf
Or some NCR camp isn't he?
HE SAID IT HE SAID THE THING
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
It was something Magnus posted, you'll have to ask him.
Keep watching :]
You won't think it is an innocent reference soon enough :]]]]]
Oh god, they're doing that thing.
Leak confirmed
If Creetosis's predictions are right, I will personally break a wall with my fist.
Need to see a ranger with an AMR killing a member of the legion or BoS atleast
Because for him to be right, would be a fucking disaster for the world.
What thing?
Maximus absolutely would not have survived that blast at all
Yeah no I agree but what thing?
He'd end up like like that skeleton from the wild wasteland perk
Basically that the NCR forces we see are just some guys still wearing the uniform but stayed behind because they're like "oh yeah everyone left but WE stayed because we're the only people who decided otherwise when everything fell apart".
Wponder if we see any First Recon?
To have that many guards, and for them to be lax on checking that caravan.
Basically, squatters and holdouts.
NCR is washed 💔
Hmm
I mean if we take the interviews as gospel dosen't seem like that to me honestly
It seems like the NCR is still trying to carry out campaigns even if at a reduced capacity
hi fallout season 2 episode 2 chat what are we falling out today
Realistically, maybe there's just a few camps holding out run by a few skeleton crews. An actual campaign would imply the NCR is either suicidal at this point or still going strong even after everything has happened.
But if its just squatters and deserters in Camp Golf, I'm gonna be pissed.
Yeah no it has to be deeper than that
Does vault city still exist
No Primm btw
Hopefully.
I think
How would vault 31-33 react to it
Most likely, All NCR territory apart from Shady sands and Boneyard exists
Oh shit that's area 51
Again, hopefully Todd's wrath hasn't struck the rest of the nation.
Makes sense as a brotherhood base actually
I think we see it soon, sill most likely be fine as the post credits scenes don't mean much
VAult City or the Hub may be the NCRs capital
Would vault tec see vault city as a threat?
That's what I'm saying lol
Did Lucy just make a reference to A Christmas Carol
Yes but I doubt Hank can do much about it
I don't see him able to get another nuke
Is crazy to say that I think they have no set capital now
Like, actually just running things really federally now
Even though its vault tecs own creation
so i guess the East coast BOS Are the strongest (as enclave fan i like this outcome)
Well it said Shady was the first capital, so I think there's a second
does anoyne know where to find the BOS reverb theme that played at the end of episode 2?
I imagine a military junta has taken over, to ensure that everything is locked down.
Mhm
That is correct. They are the largest faction in the East, that we know of.
It seems like the ghoul is becoming nicer and Lucy is becoming a bit more tough
They're rubbing off on one another
Out of all BOS groups
That Golden rule is gonna bite her in the ass.
they are the strongest to even the west
Sstrongest to an extent, May just be Co existing with NCR if the NCR are still somewhat strong
Agreed.
as in BOS in the west MB
What if the Brotherhood coalition and the NCR team up to fight the East Coast.
the cool-ass one when Harkness showed up? I'm about 90% certain that wasn't included in the score when it was released. I listed through that multiple times in its entirety and never clocked it...would be nice to be wrong though
NCR aren't East though, like NCR influence doesn't stretch to DC or Chicago, etc etc.
oh ye I guess they are the strongest overall
You want the NCR to team up with those idiots???

I'd rather have the NCR and East coalition. They'd get shit done.
unlikley as they just defeated them (NCR) at the observatory
I imagine the NCR wants to grab a piece of this new conflict, pull some strings in their favor.
This is what I was thinking, Maximus joins the NCR to fight or something
The Neo NcR
You mean ragtag remnants with little connection to the actual NCR.
What if Fallout 5 has them teaming up to fight the Enclave, and we play as the descendant of the courier (a tribal)
much thanks
i mean we havent seen the actual NCR yet then so who knows they could be worse off then we can imagine
Looks like it's doing it now
Or rather biting her in the face
Yeah but they're not going up against the West, it's the East we're talking about. It's a whole different beast.
I'd rather much seem the East and NCR more on neutral terms.
I’d laugh if general lee olvier was still kicking
OH SHIT THAT RADSCORPION LOOKS AWESOME
i want to see the east coast justy wipe the floor of all factions in the west
well at least we can powerscale the ghoul, hes no where close to any of the protaganists lol
Just watched the episode
It could, but the Bear is blessed with two heads.
i feel we may see this
Yes, but he's stronger that most people in the Wastes.
Fuck Hank for doing that to shady sands
200 years of farming just to get beat by early game enemies
ohhh that one. I was thinking a different bit
liberty prime drops onto area 51, all 4 airships get godzilla beamed in seconds
Genuinely looked like the nicest place ever in the wasteland
i dont like NCR but yeah that was brutal to watch the Shady sand be destoryed
Need to see a ranger kill a guy in PA
I would call a radscorpion mid-game
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes me wish for a nuclear winter...
Agreed
Also Legion next episode, we see if Caesar is still ruling or if the legate lives
actually yeah @cold jetty i dont see the reverb part in the soundtrack?
He is not, we have two new legion leaders, two new characters.
I don't even think they need to do that. Someone suggested that Harkness is there to sow mistrust between the Coalition.
New Ceasar imo
Exactly no other faction has a orbital canon so the east coast will win
That would give new vegas a canon ending tho
Or at least rule out one of them
Oh you edited it
Unless some faction gets Helios one working (doubtful)
I genuinely don't even think there is a coalition. Not only that, with the way the Brotherhood treated NCR after the Shady Sands bombing? why even, lol the West is not their ally. lol
Even elijah could not
I still think the NCR would be involved to make sure that some things fall in their own favor, like Brotherhood presence in the region suddenly falling apart.
Also Commonwealth is winning the civil war if anything, they have the liberty prime
Man I'm overall a fan of the show but I just wish they didn't do NCR dirty like that.
cant wait to see vb-02 vertibirds arrive and just delete the rebellion's vb-01s
I hate that prime video has ads like tf am I paying for
thats the enclave style not west coast bos
This ad is a fuckin minute and a half
Yeah, the East would be the most sensible way because the East will actually work with the NCR - as the East has with other factions in the past.
3+$ for no ads it's actually stupid
Alright bout 6 more days till episode 3
ugh dont remind me of such along wait
These waits suck
True
Also apple is acting like they invented vapour cooling in this ad 😭 Like no tf you didn't
Whoops.
I’ve listened to most of the soundtrack and I don’t think it’s officially released yet.
This happened with hot dog in season 1
I loved the first season where they dropped it all at once
The different variations of the BOS theme throughout were pretty great, especially when Harkness showed up
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. If it means the Brotherhood will become weak enough that they won't pose a threat to what's left of the NCR, then they'll gladly take their chances.
Imagine them like vultures, taking apart what's left of each battle.
Yeah that's not sensible logic when the East can assist them in wiping out the West chapters and just give them the territory.
they dont need help at all
Like the East is known to do trades like this and most sensible, the NCR couldn't compete against the East rn, and the best way for the NCR to bounce back would be to eliminate the West, not antagonize the East???
they can wipe the floor of the west coast on a nice sat evening as nobodys buisness
The NCR would lose LESS people siding with the East too, if the NCR actually cares about it's people.
Even if they don't, the NCR is in a messy state, they'd logically WANT to minimize loss of manpower.
they will prob stay neutral in this war as they just got pegged
What did Maxson think of the NCR?
And it would benefit them way more, the West can only really offer fusion cores, that's assuming cold fusion doesn't get stolen, now the West has NOTHING.
Ccause didn't kellog hate it?
He didn't have an opinion.
Kellogg hated them, yes
oh that was kellog then
I see Ajax's point. Why dirty your hands when you can have someone else do the work for you?
The US IRL has assisted in hundreds of proxy conflicts, even though they could deploy their own forces and end the conflict quicker, it's just a matter of how much you want to be involved.
Yeah, that version of it with the processed electric guitar/bass sound wasn't on the score they released already. We'll have to wait and see if they do release additional tracks after it's all done airing...
Yes but kellog was basically a glorified raider who was kinda hit by the law and order
that is the enclave/the gov ways of doing things when the military is needed its full scale conflicts and that is The BOS this is not are timeline mind you
What is hank even trying with these mice
Yeah it's like - my mindset is. If they side with the West, they get access to some technology(Maxson doesn't mind sharing a little bit), some knowledge, and a decent trade relationship plus - with how powerful the East is, squashing the West would be easy. Consider it - the route of least resistance with maximum benefit to the NCR, cause the land would be too far away for the East to control effectively. Which is why they rely on other chapters in the West to do it for them, but if the East helps wipe the traitors out, NCR gets access to the territory, and they both get rid of that threat.
Make the head not explode
Trial and error or something
Again, the East Coast Brotherhood is a thousand miles miles away. Why do they need to send forces to destroy the enemy when there's already a means to doing it from a distance.
this isnt are time line if they truly wanted do you think they couldve just taken down the chinese or would it have been war if we infiltrated
But... He doesn't seem to be changing anything about the mice
See how far he can push the tech in its mini form
Are you implying the US didn't use subterfuge and infiltration against the Chinese when we can easily assume they have the ability?
Like the only point of contention is that I can see the East wanting ALL the tech from Area 51, or places like that to be in their arsenal, or destroyed.
they already sent one man witha vertibird to see what the meeting was about why waste there feul on one man
Oh shit a real alien
Not sure since we don’t know what he took from the second faciliyy
Yeah, but he does give us a decent bit of information.
Metallic Monks
When did this drop? I'm a little late.
and when they can call
Do they mention why the Eastern BoS are attacking specifically, is it just to stop Quintus getting too powerful?
About
Because in the grand scheme of things, it's one man.
To stop Quintus.
BRUH THEY DESTROYED A PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING CAR
One man in a thousand, one disposable man.
I could see an NCR-East coalition then tbf
It's the most beneficial tbh.
a paladin
I also could see the Legion siding in this conflict aswell
an envoy of the BOS
Probably not a good option for the BOS when they already have birds
I need to see what the two Brothers who lead the Legion now, are about.
Yes, much cheaper than deploying an expeditionary force that can be shot down.
Still that was a perfectly functioning, gorgeous hotrod
Yeah it was a nice car
so if they want war they will have war do you see spies or any mention of spying for the bos in fallout 4
no its full scale war and conflict against the population any one who resists
they dont need to inflatrate when they have a war machine (liberty prime)
and 1000s of soldiers
But his position is a liaison, not a spy. He probably was scouting under Maxson's orders from afar, and the spy, or snitch was in Quintus's chapter.
Someone had to have told Xander about the meeting, cause Quintus purposefully left the Commonwealth out.
Probably not cuz it would be hard to find the perfect actor for a recurring character
yes but a spy is inflatrating under cover he made his allegiance know right away
Maybe
That’s why we haven’t seen any recurring characters yet
No that would rule out some of the endings of fallout 4
He's only like 29 in universe
Some endings of fallout 4 already have been ruled out railroad and institute ending requires destroying the brotherhood of steel
Imagine if he was 67 😭😭😭
Mr. House?
Fair enough yeah
Besides him
Well you can't drive cars in the games so they needed to maintain that in the show LOL
You can in fallout 2 but not really driving
I don't think anyone in the Brotherhood is qualified for a driver's license
They have vertibird lancers
tho they can fly
I’m sure they would know how to drive a car
given that the car was in Area 51 I wonder if it's supposed to be like...a specific or special or notable car in some capacity. Or some military dude just used that as storage of his dope car
Im pretty sure minuteman can only keep the bos alive if they destroy the institute right? Meaning bos ending must be canon in f4
Might be wrong
No the minutemen don't have to destroy the bos
Minutemen ending doesn’t require interacting with the BoS at all
Its an optional quest if you killed a named bos npc
Ah fair
they can yes so the conclusion is the minutemen ending is not the ending cause why add it in the first place if that wasnt the ending
The brotherhood kinda remind me of the imperium of man from WH40k
Yeah same
They are both pseudo religious
There can be a BoS and MM alliance, but it's contigent on the threats in Boston, which the BoS eliminates.
Hate xenos
"psuedo" they're very religious
i think not destorying the bos with minutemen is more fan service mechanics
No cuz technically it’s not a religion
They don’t worship a deity or anything like that
Like the children of atom
Or children of the cathedral
A religion doesn't strictly need a diety
the most obvious awnsers are the ones right infront of you
That logic doesn’t track since it’s a one and done optional quest if you turn the BoS hostile which progressing the Minutemen does not require you to do
They don’t suit the criteria of a religion though
My question is why didnt they just drive the nuke truck away from the city before trying to disarm it o-o
It's funny you say that.
It's a Brahmin, lmao.
Get reading to look in #fallout_modding . @sand thicket
I don't think a cow is faster than a car.
What’s in there
Look at what i posted, lol
Was thinking that the whole time
Also I mean what happened to the cops that checked anyone visiting the city from fallout 2
Capital city and you can just walk right in
I mean either way the truck had to get there, the counter only started when he clipped the wire, they couldve totally tried to at least move it away before commiting to disarming it and possibly blowing everyone up lol
I mean the counter wasnt even displayed at first it probably had more than three minutes time before it went even. If it was even on a timer, it might have been on a trigger
See that looks straight out of 40k custodes armor
I don't think it would matter anyways, the blast radius would have still destroyed a chunk of the city.
Yeah that's the inspo, it looks good though - gonna use it on my next BoS playthrough.
Like get the big explody thing as far away before you mess with it!
Or at least evacuate!
I’ll probably use that after I’m done with fallout 1
It was beeping though, so it's implied that the failsafe just sped it up.
I’ve also been looking for power armor overhaul mods for fallout 3 that don’t require ttw but can’t find any
Yeah but a chunk is better than killing everyone and reducing the entire city to rubble.
which knowing hank was his idea, if someone was gonna tamper with it, he'll make it blow up even faster
Barely.
I don’t like fallout 3 power armor
That's like a D minus verses a F. The city would still be destroyed on a large scale.
Ever since playing fallout 4 it reminds me too much of stormtrooper armor and feels like regular clothes
Half a city gone is always better than the full city gone. At least then some things survive lol. Thats not barely
Either way they could have started moving it and evacuating before touching it instead of immediately messing with a bomb you barely know anything about, given he didnt know about the failsafe
better than in-game those mfs barely serve as a fucking lamp.
Man i am hyyyyped for ep3!!
Let's assume the Brahmin could have carried all the weight and ran. The blast still would level entire houses for a mile and a half, and the shockwave would have shattered bones and broke walls.
I think the blast radius was too huge tbh
But why wouldnt you try to move it away from the populus? I mean whats even the point here, dont do the thing that gives better odds?
Everyone panicked, genuinely, if you've never been in high stress situations like that before it's hard to predict how you'll act unless you're trained for it.
True, fair point
Yes, but at that point there's no point because the fucking center of the NCR would still be decimated beyond repair, even if you had like a small section still alive, the entire federal branch just got KILLED.
All the rads as well
Id think the obvious idea would be get it far away but ive never had a nuke ticking in front of me
Like realistically, there was probably more experienced people there that could've defused it, there was a ranger, soldiers, etc etc. But everyone panicked.
And that invalidates doing a thing to have better odds why? If five percent survive it is still better than zero so why not do something?
Why didnt everyone just use fast travel to get away
Explosion effects would still apply regardless of distance and size of the bomb.
was that a fallout 4 purifier in shady sands?
NGL the nuke looks the size of 76s nukes
ok but like how did the nuke even get into Shady Sands, was there like no security checking the caravans
Yeah that blast wave would've fucked anyone who wasn't in proper shelter in the distance. And also ALSO.
Let's not forget, there was survivors - a lot of them, they all went into the Vault in Season 1, the ones who worshipped Moldaver were survivors OF Shady Sands, too.
definitely not the size of the megaton one.
As someone mentioned before, lot of things get past security checkpoints.
it wishes it was
I mean there were whole ad campaigns about ducking and covering if you hear or see a nuclear explosion, its basically pointless but people still made those ads because it gave you the slightest better outcome, i see no reason a slightly improved chance isnt worth working towards unless youre just tired that day or something haha
Maybe they were too distracted by the weird guy repeating shit on the floor.
maximus wouldve probably turned into a child ghoul if it was
Sure everyone will still probably die regardless but if youre trying to disarm a bomb you know nothing about how good are your odds anyways lol
a lot of things do, but covering a whole ass nuke with a tarpool is very different to that of, say, stuffing drugs up your ass
since that nuke was Possibly chinese it was bigger since the us didint focus on there nukes much but china did
nuke was definitely chinese, theres another model in fnv which is one of the nukes that got past houses defense but was faulty
This can be summed up to also show that the NCR can be incompetent sometimes.
Bro so true
Hank probably stole it
They didn't have Pipboys.
I do that every time. So simple
Damn bro true :[ sucks to be in the ncr
not that incompetant though
Imagine not having ft
the one in shady sands? im pretty sure the shady sands one is literally a mark 28
wait a minute
hold on
thats a mark 28 nuke
fast travel isnt actually teleporting beside fo4 inside institue as it jsut speeds up wlaking
Well tbf we did see some guys in power armor playing with a live grenade. Just not checking something definitely isnt stupider than that.... righttt???
yeah im saying Hank probably stole it from somewhere, or had access to it. We know Vault tec gave people information on whereabouts of Nukes.
Fallout 76's overseer was literally told all the locations of the Silos in Appalachia.
Dont break my head canon jeez
So it wouldn't be out of the norm for that information to be accessible to some.
again, very different situation, 2 dumbasses with a grenade =/= sneaking a giant nuke into a city
ok but that one is lowkirkenuinely pretty funny
hank somehow got his hands on a mark 28 nuke.
werent all the mark 28s transferred to the sentinel site due to it being too small/were being experimented to be placed on missiles?
Eh, it is. If you know anything about IRL military, they're not perfect and sooooooooo much shit is snuck onto facilities. There are entire coke operations going on in barracks sometimes my guy. lol
Its not like they have xray vision, it could have very well been a keg of booze. Not checking under an unknown cloth is most certainley less risky than playing with live explosives. At least assuming you dont know whats under it. Except occasionally you forget to check and someone sneaks a bomb by you and then its bad.
I don't believe so? Even if so, i imagine Bethesda would probably retcon it.
this is not some shit you can sneak into a facility easily tho. coke is nothing compared to a nuke
They dont have metal detectors. The best check they have is just visually inspecting stuff. Sonetimes people just dont inspect the thing or get distracted.
No I'm talking LABS, my guy.
Not coke itself, but there's been plenty of situations where drug labs on bases have been busted. Soldiers get lax, they get tired, they don't do full inspections 24/7. They should, but they're human, they make mistakes - or don't have proper equipment. It's perfectly explainable.
max raises a decent point, even though ncr was relatively civilized, it would be odd to at least not have a customs checkpoint checking trade going into a city due to the fact that outside the major cities, it is still a wasteland
modern US customs is really stingy on inbound cargo, NCR customs would be even stingier
The NCR soldiers clearly respected that he spoke their native tongue and trusted him
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Go right on in!
I'm not saying they didn't have a check point, the more realistic answer is probably the soldiers didn't do a thorough job doing it. They probably were just a little lazy, and it bit them - and the city, in the ass. The NCR isn't perfect, they make mistakes. This was one of them.
And it's evident the city has gone through a revamp since the originals given the laser checkpoints are gone from what we can see, so.
I will say i loved how they did the vertibird docking it was on spot
Honestly, that might be a legitimate answer. To NCR soldiers, the dude clearly looks like a Mojave veteran suffering from significant PTSD, and they might have just let him in out of pity.
What can you say, complacency kills.
I mean regardless the answer is complacency like you said. It couldve been he looks ncr, it couldve been a guard was tired that day and just didnt feel like it. I mean whats the worst to be under a tarp? Its not like they get nukes and bombs being snuck by them every day id assume.
Realistically people arent robots and we kind of suck at maintaining a strict protocol often times.
I mean some people find it hard to get up for work in the morning
Also to make it abundantly clear, the NCR was not expecting anyone to pull a nuke into Shady Sands. It's heavily implied that Shady Sands hadn't been touched in terms of combat or skirmishes often due to the heavy NCR presence.
So it's safe to assume that they genuinely didn't think anyone was ballsy enough(on par with Kimball's line of thinking and policies, cause god is he moronic). And they just assumed it was another caravan.
But for god sakes they could have tried to get it away from the damn city before immediately fiddling with an unknown bomb >:[ i mean they could have had 20 minutes an hour a day who knows to move this
tbf it was remotely activated by hank i dont think they couldve done anything
I mean itll explode at some point but its surely not going to be in four minutes!
So where is the legion camp in the end credits that's inside a stadium
Could've called up a soldier with power armor to haul it away
We don't know yet.
Not enough time.
it was remotely activated by hank, the dude was in the middle of disarming it when hank activated the timer
True but youd have longer than four minutes probably, either way trying to haul it away is the least dangerous option. Guess they just freaked out
What? No the failsafe kicked in because he tried disarming it. That's how failsafes work.
It said failsafe activated after he cut the wire. Cutting the wire triggered a failsafe
It was already armed, disarming it just sped it up.
ah
It probably went from 6 minutes to like 3
Which is why the better option would be "its already on a truck, pack it up and get it out of here"
i thought hank activated it when his puppet died
It could have been longer since the caravan could be delayed for any multitude of reasons
No, no. Hank armed it, and it was beeping down, then the disarm sped it up.
fair enough
I'm surprised nobody mentioned this.
Since if you bomb gets delayed by radscorpions for twenty minutes you dont want it blowing a hole in a random spot in the desert lol
Cause you see it on the screen it said "Failsafe activated" with the Vault boy thumbs up.
honestly i dont think anthing couldve been done, the caravan was already in the city center, and in 10 minutes you probably couldve moved a kilometer or so. either way theres a reason why nukes dont care about accuracy.
I agree with you.
Does anyone have the image of the crater
Realistically the timer isnt going to be super short as you want to make sure it reaches the destination before blowing up. They may have had upwards of an hour but who knows unless you try getting the nuke far away
Could've but we dunno, he could've been tracking it we know pipboys in lore do use trackers similar to in-game so he could've tracked it into the city
This?
Perfect
since yall were talking about this
I mean either way you cut it its better to not mess with it and get it as far away as possible. Specifically because they dont know how to disarm it and trying to led to well
That
PatrollingThe mojave almost makes me wish for nuclear a winter
i feel like that crater should be retconned. the nuke depicted is clearly a mk28, which is a low yield bomb more similar to the davy crockett than a thermonuke
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes me wish for a nuclear winter
But hang on though, people did escape the blast though
They're in the Vault in season 1
The cult that worships moldaver
Those are survivors
I mean by that logic you could literally outrun this nuke
Surely a brahmin couldve hauled it far enough lmfao
Idk if they outran it, they probably were just closer?
Are you sure they aren't just people who hung out on the outskirts?
They said survivors from Shady Sands, and they teach about it in their schools.
Yeah but how would they know about the bomb, theyd have three minutes for news to spread
Cause what the Vault became was a mix of dwellers and survivors.
Could be they were out on caravan runs when the nuke detonated
Yeah, this.
True but its quite a few people. How many would reliably be on caravan?
That's way too many people.
In addition to travelers going back and forth to Vegas, returning troopers, ect
Id say there were about 40-60 in the weird cult meeting which doesnt seem far fetched i guess
And when the ceremony happens the Vault tec guy was like, "Oh idk that's a surface dweller tradition, we don't do that" in terms of the dwellers not doing what they do. There was about like 40ish or more of them
Maybe go up to 80 or 100 for people who didnt attend
Even that number isnt too crazy.
Why not just literally go anywhere else. And the only way you'd know the Vault was there is if you're a resident of Shady Sands, because it's right there.
Just finished it 🔥 was nice to see shady sands before ya know….. 👀
I think its possible, not that this point is too important to me because again just move the damn truck lol
Odds are the people who did survive, made it to the Vault - but I doubt they outran it. But it was something I realized that Max wasn't the only one who made it.
What a silly billy fiddling with a live nuclear bomb!
Anchorage flashback soon. 🔥
I mean residents of shady sands on their way back to shady from vegas
What do we think the canon ending for nv is so far? I know they said they wouldnt canonize anything buttttt
That's a stretch for me, but idk I could be wrong. It just doesn't make too much sense to me.
House, due to the presence of Victor, and House being on his monitor bank.
None of them.
Bethesda said they won't pick one.
I mean 100 residents out and about out of the i think it was like 31000? I forget the amount of people.
And the only new vegas thing that's canon so far is the Courier delivering the chip, given the securitrons are upgraded in the trailer.
30 thousand speople is medium town sized population, having a nuke wipe out 99% of it is plausible
Yes i know. Still either way they will accidentally lean into some sort of events happening

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is no ordinary ar...
Its kind of inevitable id say
Nah, I think they can do it perfectly fine without committing or leaning one way or another.
I dont. Kinda hard to tell a story that follows after another story with the same characters and groups without making some sort of implication even if its small
lol the largest ever nuclear crater was only a couple hundred meters wide
theres no way that a singular low yield bomb smaller than a caravan truck could cause this
Imagine all the explosives and nuclear weapons stored there
They're not following New Vegas's story, they're using the location and some characters. We'll get some stuff, but as for the main story? No shot. And anything involving the Courier is just bad writing. None of the previous game protagonists had their specific choices canonized aside from a selective, few percentage of things. This should follow the same route.
Its magic nuke tech man. Come on magic radiation and you dont think there magic nukes too?!?!
he has some urgent business to attend to
i mean if it was an unknown special nuke dont use the model of an already existing nuke from the games lol
Besides the Mojave chapter of the BoS doesnt exist, it's gone. Caesar's Legion is split into two - with two new characters leading them. The boomers haven't been mentioned. The Khan's took Novac, the King's are ghouls.
We're not gonna get any main story stuff facilitated and set in stone.
Yeah but even something simple like the scale of a group or their locations can be a tell to some extent. Theyll have to do some real work to avoid leaning any direction
its a magic nuke let it do its magic man
who the fuck was the guy who challenged maximus
I'd say they're doing decent so far.
that dude was SEETHING it was absolutely personal
Bearface mcbeefcake
A random fucking Knight.
Bro thought he was all talk and got gutted for it.
And he could have just had a fist fight
@coarse grove I hope if we see any other member from the commonwealth, they just don’t port their uniforms from FO4 and make something original.
Because these outfits from the show MOG FO4 BOS
Bro HAD to pull a knife smh
TRUE. He had to pull out the knife
I agree. ALSO I told you, no Scribe Haylen hat... I REJOICE.
Bearface mcbeefcake more like bearface mc... chicken...
love the grand canyon bos guy
We had some fucking, freman looking field scribes though lmao
fucking signpiece in his head
Why was it so peak
I was wondering what was in his head
Why was it so peak
Lmao so peak
My guy can drive legally in california now
🤣
I loved the patrolling the Mojave reference that was absolute cinema
Dont piss him off he might turn into a robot
Also my goat Maximus hauling absolute ass
The ghoul fight scene was awesome
I wonder what thad's doing now that hes newly ghoulified
I’m nervous for Lucy now tho
Rallying children I guess?
I hope the ghoul saves her ass
Legion don't play
Also why the fuck did the slave bring her to a legion camp?
Tbf im pretty sure she did say she should leave soon
Because she's been conditioned to believe freedom is a worse fate than with the Legion.
Xander having tan underarmor is a good sign. I really hope the east coast bos can look as cool as these chapters
Xander is gonna be one of my favorites. I can tell.
No wonder Maxson sent him.
Maxson better be in the show
Yeah hes pretty cool
Definitely!
As much as I'd love it, until I see some casting stuff I remain doubtful he'll appear. Maybe his voice ? But idk
I'm with you. Who tf approved making him so goddamn cool
Dunno but that coat is awesome and i want one
Here's the real question about this scene though - did Vault-Tec have a pre-programmed bomb graphic ready to go in case their people needed that? Or did Hank take a few minutes inbetween reading books to Lucy to program in that cute little graphic himself
Hank seems like a real hands-on kinda guy, I think he did it himself
Dane definitely ratted Quintus out
100000%
Dane is such a bro he cut open his leg just for maximus to get promoted and informed the east coast
They're missing out if they don't do a nice product tie in with a jacket company like Columbia does with Star Wars
Fr
Dane didn't count for Maximus and Quintus getting close though. I'm ngl the Quintus line with calling Max son caught me off guard, and the flashback with Shady Sands emphasizing Max's want for a parental figure just plays up how Quintus probably isn't going away any time soon. Yet.
I'm liking Maximus' storyline a lot so far this season...even though it's all of half of one episode.
I really like the way that dynamic is shifting with him and Dane, too. With Max and Dane being like, properly aspirational but kinda puny and not like all the rest of the dudes, with now Maximus growing in his position, but also having to prove himself more like in the fight with the dude, and Dane sees him becoming more like all the other BOS jerks that they weren't a part of before. I'm excited to see what more he ends up doing.
especially after Maximus was somewhat...frustrating during season 1, he's really coming into his own already
Personally i thought the ending of s1 implied maximus didnt even want to be a knight anymore. Like he realizes how broken the brotherhood is. He also seems fed up with it and to be going through the motions in s2
I wonder how itll play out
I think it showed him conflicted, because he loves Lucy, clearly. But Lucy's father is the one who blew up Shady Sands. And she left him without a word. But Quintus uplifted him again. When he was in doubt
It also seemed like thats where his story IS headed since his talk with Titus. Like he realizes that most of these people are quite wackadoodle
I think I'm the most interested now in seeing how Maximus changes as a character. Lucy and the Ghoul, while they'll develop certainly, I care more about seeing Maximus change now
This
I care about Max and the Ghoul the most, I'm convinced that the Ghoul has been playing up a persona of his movie characters to cope until he finds his family.
I do agree. The BOS is doing a very good job of, for lack of a better phrase, making members like Maximus be in abusive relationships with the brotherhood lol
That accent's a cope lmao
Definitely. His movie career was about him becoming a hardened cowboy who COULD do the hard thing and shoot the bad guy. His entire prewar life he faught against that idea
Wild ending of Season 3 is The Ghoul's story being resolved and it's signaled by his accent just shifting to be a bit more neutral lol
Scene:
Ghoul finally realizes hes been wrong all along, he turns to the camera, smiles and gives a thumbs up. Roll credits.
Maybe the real Fallout was inside me all along
Also de-aged Hank looked really good this time. He felt very uncanny in S1, but the clip of him in the vault was entirely passable to me this time
Yeah in s1 his mouth looked so fake. Like i swear it was an ai lipsync or something it looked terrible.
Whatever they used there was so offputting lol
the fucking "patroling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter" guy fucking cracked me up
i wonder if he is alright
he was passed out right next to a nuke, he's turbo dead
nahh he lived
so, east vs west Brotherhood then?
also, i like the fact that the commonwealth could kick their asses
it made me smile
I just think it’s amazing how they made it work. It’s a meme based on some weird coding that caused a line to repeat a lot, it should t work lol
They got there wish ironically
The west bos factions makes me appreciate maxson more
At least maxsons bos isn’t just a bunch of dumbass jocks
I don’t see the east bos lacking that kind of professionalism
Tbh it’s kinda weird how they handled the west like I guess alots changed since we last saw Bos in Cali but they went from the diehard fanatics to this
Lmao west Is having fights and murding each other
I think people like Quintus just aren’t true believers
He’s manipulative and power hungry and that’s all he cares for
The west bos has been corrupted by these people
They spent way too long by themselves without someone like maxson to reign them in
They’re a crater in the ground probably
Pretty sure no matter what they die
I don’t think there’s an ending they survive
It’ll be safe to say I’m rooting for the commonwealth bos
Shame say what you want but mcnarma wasn’t a bad elder
Maxson was probably the best thing that happened to the bos
Of course the BoS from the game where they are the good guys are good guys
Me to, they’re closer to maxsons original brotherhood at this point
Like say what you want about the guy but maxson is not incompetent
That man knows how to run the bos
For sure I agree, I never disliked maxson
Exactly and he wants to achieve actual BOS goals
I like the Grand Canyon BoS I mean
You compare him to that whole room of elders and they look like children compared to him
I guarantee he would never allow those dumbass jocks who play with plasma grenades to even touch power armour
I wonder if paladin harkness is Nate
If they’ve got the whole fuckin’ canyon locked down that’s pretty sweet
Probably not but cool theory
It’s time to liberty prime the west BOS
“Put us down I’m bored and I wanna shoot something”
They should bring him from the east to west and have him fight
It’s sad that they’re probably gonna have the west win the civil war
I hope they don’t do Arthur dirty
or just him dead in his cryo chamber
Nothing good can happen to the bos
Me too I hope Maximus betrays the west and sides with the east
We saw him running off with that paladin in the trailer so who knows
If the either side wins What’s next for the bos in terms of their role in the overall story?
Cursed by to much screentime, more time for the show to do them dirty
Dude that’s a hard one to answer
They’re shifting from the diehard fanatics we found in fallout 1 to closer to the ncr, a bunch of soldiers just surviving who don’t care a lot about their actual mission just trying to benefit
WE alllll love the BOS
True, the only question is which brotherhood
I saw the Patrolling the Mojave bit coming a mile away.
I certainly don’t love the west BoS
They’re the bos in name only
Maxsons bos is the closest thing to the og one
It’s kinda sad to see the original brotherhood turn into whatever this is
And I’m curious if the enclave will appear again
Yeah for sure
I highly doubt we'd end up seeing Arthur Maxson directly, but I could see them almost doing a sort of nameless / faceless big-bad version of the Brotherhood Commonwealth where Maxson talks to / reprimands the West Coast BOS chapters as the civil war presumably starts. Would be a good cameo to do it that way. But Harkness chilling there throws that off a little bit maybe
I don’t care what anyone says that Indian actor will fit the role perfectly
We will probably get holotapes of him
Yeah I honestly don’t want them to show Arthur I fear they’ll ruin his character
Best to leave his character as is
I think Nate will be mentioned but I believe he stayed with the minutemen
I prefer they don’t specify to much
...are you talking about the Pakistani actor Kumail Nanjiani?
I think there’s a reason why the bos normally doesn’t recruit outsiders
So it’s up more to interpretation
Because then you get dumbass jocks as knights
Yeah I used to think it was good for the BoS but now I Lowkey think the Mojave chapter had a point
They corrupted their ranks
I Lowk forget where he’s from but a lot of people say he’s Indian but aside that I feel like he will be a perfect character
He's not Indian
But yes, I think his character is going to be cool as hell. Honestly too cool for the show lol
But the real question is
I'm very excited to see more of him
What did he in the commonwealth
Was he in the institute when it was attacked
Or was he knighted after
We’ll see what happens with his character
Better not butcher it
I'm doubtful they'll say anything about that
They have to
I don't think they're going to try and lay out any events of the east coast
Scam
I bet he’s gonna be the reason why Maximus leaves quintus’ chapter. He and Maximus gets along real well, then quintus has him killed and Maximus leaves
They literally agreed they would get dog walked by the commonwealth
Yesh something like that
They have to at least hint at the synths
I’m just confused why the commonwealth would send the prydwen to quintus’ chapter, like the prydwen? the symbol of east coast BOS resurgence?
What was even the reasoning behind this
Best case scenario for the brotherhood is a commonwealth victory
Because they have cold fusion
Maxon wants a piece of it
Things may be hinted at, but I do doubt they'll lay out specifics of things like canon ending of FO4 (despite the brotherhood being around like this uh certainly being notable lol), and I'd be VERY surprised if Nate is referenced. I think they're really trying to maintain the games feeling like you have control as best they can without directly commenting on certain things, and the showrunners have all said as much
Yes but why would the prydwen help the quintus chapter secede?
Plot
Or they won’t
if you look at it then the west coast BOS hasnt really done much in the last 2 decades while the east coast has done nothing but wage war
they are prepared for it, the west coast just has no way of winning this civil war even if they are united
Fuckkk they’re gonna destroy the prydwen aren’t they
The east bos is literally just more powerful
Better not
And they’re run by someone who actually knows what they’re doing
Or I’ll have to involved
I’m scared the commonwealth is gonna be just as stupid as this chapter, we already saw Titus who was from the commonwealth originally and he definitely wasn’t the best representation of them
have this bad feeling that the tv show is gonna end up with the wiping of the west coast into a new slate
Titus isn’t from the commonwealth
He belongs to Quintus
I could of sworn he was my bad then
also, my theory is that the west coast will fight a civil war against themselves and not against the east coast, there is no way those numbskulls stay united
We haven’t seen the prydwin yet
He’s from the prydwen, which is from the commonwealth
It’s the airship in s1
That airship in season 1 was the Caswennan
We saw like 5 seconds of it
Oh yeah Titus was commonwealth
Keeping toasters away from people and lording over them. Actually is there any good more examples of what it’s like people living under essentially brotherhood of steel occupation or protection? I’m not sure honestly what word fits better.
Shit I thought he was Quintus
So the sole purpose of the prydwen was to show up for 5 seconds, drop off knights, and F off ?
it was named the pyrdwen but the one in season 2 is called the cassawennen or whatever
so they might have retconned it
Ok so maybe the east coast brotherhood is as bad as the west
Yeah that worries me
I mean Titus folded immediately
Maybe this is right but the thing that tips me off of it (other than the fact it is AI lol) is the fact it refers to Shady as being right smack in the middle of the LA urban area
Well I mean I think they would want to keep control of the commonwealth
Why is there an L
The confusing part is the cleric talks shit about how the brotherhood lost its way and that he was gonna fix it but his dudes are just as bad
It’s supposed to be the Caswennan. It having prydwen written on the side was 100% a mistake. Why would the commonwealth give quintus their airship if quintus already has his own?
Idk lol
they have liberty prime lol
They spelled it wrong lmao
“DWLN” ??
They literally called it the Caswennan back in season 1
that is my theory as well
Gotta be built again
It’s a faded E, you can see the middle part sticking out
the wiki says this but they dont give any citation or reference to back this up so it might not be true
I’m pretty sure the BOS ending is canon, else there really isn’t much of a reason for the Midwest chapters to be scared of the commonwealth.
It’s BoS mixed with minuteman ending
So it’s not the prydwen
Either or, Nate helped
It's a long shot but unless the East Coast sent their worst to Quintus
The minuteman ending is kinda ridiculous tbh
Doubtful. Minutemen ending results in a stagnant BoS, which definitely wouldn’t have sent the prydwen to the midwestern chapters
True but at least the general outfit is cool
Like a militia found a way to destroy the institute lol
I mean one of the things with BOS though is still that like...military dudes are always kind of military dudes. While the overall 'culture' of west coast vs east coast is different, it's not as if the BOS was this perfectly militaristic faction on the west coast
A militia of farmers and settlers
So if were to assume Titus is commonwealth that means they all act like this or at least the majority we’ve seen
no that wiki article implies it is the prydwen and Caswennan is just a misnomer
They lowkey butchered the brotherhoods image
but again im not sure if i believe that wiki article idk
@quiet prairie If harkness is anything to go on the commonwealth is fine. Geneva said Harkness is the antithesis of knight Titus
We can ALL yes we that nate is helping another settlement rn
was trying to remember if it was a terminal entry or not but like...this is no different than the shit the east coast BOS does that people act like "oh they'd NEVER do those things under Maxson"
Then there’s hope but it’s hard when we’ve only seen two people from the commonwealth
But we can’t, that’s a hasty generalization fallacy
That’s like saying one incident of an f/a-18 falling off a carrier means the entire usn is incompetent
One* Quintus and the west already have airships. That was 100% the Caswennan back in season 1
We saw the name of the airship, it’s the prydwen
Though it makes no sense, it is the prydwen
I lowkey think they just screwed it up and made it super confusing
Look it’s the prydwen, and Titus was a bad knight. Is Titus from the east coast? Probably. Is he representative of the entire eastern BOS? No.
He’s not but it feels like the show were trying to show us what the east coast ranks are like
pretty sure the airship docked at area 51 is the Caswennan
Theyve shown us 1 knight from the east coast
We see the prydwen arriving in season 1.
And I’m calling it a mistake
Idk I trust the show over a vanity fair article
Variety fair must’ve predicted the Caswennan for season 2
Ahhhh
And now we've seen two BOS members from the east coast with Harkness showing up and he's cool as hell and can do no wrong so
Yeah there’s hope but it’s kinda a bad sign when the show is like here’s a knight from the commonwealth, but I’m gonna be optimistic and hope they won’t do the rest dirty
but the one in season 2 is the Caswennan
Missed that detail mb
I think tbh Titus was written to show Maximus that his idealistic vision of the BoS doesn't mesh with reality
So the prydwen sole appearance was to drop off knights and fuck off lmao fair enough
When does the ep go live
well it is easily missed and so far only seen in episode 2
so no big deal lol
Rather than a specifically East Coast is bad Vibe
tbf if something was to happen to the prydwen (like it being the one shot down in the trailer) i think we will get verification which one is the prydwen again in season 2 before something like that happens
They probably were like “here looks familiar thing from fallout 4” then that was it
Wait has it gone live
Trying to hype the show
The east coast sending the prydwen cross country just to let Quintus have cold fusion because that makes so much sense
It’s out
Bethasda logic
Good thing that’s not what’s happening
Honestly I feel like the airship being shot down probably is the Caswennan bc of Maximus defecting, yk the whole trope of a protagonist leaving the chaos of their doing a-la wolfenstein nuke scene
maybe they used the prydwen to deliver the message about the enclave researcher
cold fusion IS essential so you'd want to make sure the message is sent and recieved without effort
The reality is the brought it to show it off to the fans and hype them up and that’s it
i think thats a red herring.
It kinda served no purpose to the plot
i think one prydwen class airship explodes because the knights cant stop fucking playing with a plasma grenade

real
Probably
Quintus’ chapter is literally just raiders playing dress up with power armor
they are the mechanicus from 40k
honestly i fully believe they will get their civil war
just not against the commonwealth lol
religion + BoS
Ain’t no professionalism like proctor ingram
also, i loved the other BoS chapters - finally we get to see some additional chapters from the BoS and they are all assholes, lmao
The brotherhood can communicate with both coast without airships. They’ve been doing it since fallout 3
Wait good point do you think those chapters there all turn on each other
also, am i the only one annoyed that lucy ditched the ghoul?
Nope
Did anyone else notice The Ghoul drop his cowboy accent for a moment after he got scorp'd or was that just the strain of dying of radscorpion poisoning?
she is an absolutely horrible party leader, the ghoul is an asshole but he has been loyal, lol
Yeah he did
we know the other airships are from the other chapters now
so from that teaser we see multiple airships firing at eachother
i believe it is the other chapters fighting against eachother and not against the commonwealth at all
“Grand Canyon Chapter”, “Yosemite Chapter”, and one chapter being extremely misogynistic? P sure some of these chapters are former legion tribes
somehow the Legion infiltrated the BOS and now has airships to finally crush the NCR
LOL hang on, one of the BOS members got an STD from sex with a ghoul in a terminal entry? lmaoooo nah, these guys can be dumb too (Prydwen terminal entry in FO4)
Nah I feel like this is more “reckless expansion corrupting the faction”
There was like no reason to make them misogynistic males no sense at all, the Bos all originated from Cali and the original Bos we found in fallout 1 clearly had female soldiers and etc
I think that elder was joking
makes you wish for a nuclear winter etc but really makes no sense that guy ws not in the mojave
He’s likely a veteran and the device just locked in him his…bad memories
