#EPISODE 4
1 messages · Page 2 of 1
I think so too I feel like everyone who’s been released for far is much more different
like she is doing everything she can to actually support people
And then presumably there were two unfrozen when the vault locked down
The Strip finale episode is probably gonna be of the Ghoul being like the courier. Allying with factions to fight the bad. Making friends with the Super Mutants and already with the NCR
them calling all the factions matching jackets is really fun
Maybe they go to jacobstown for help
It was the Ron Pearlman voice that said “well, you’re gonna need some friends”
And i pictured the ghoul declaring himself kaiser
damn the episodes been out less than 3 hours and we have 1000 messages in here
Just finished episode 4
That’s lowkey tuff
This has nothing to do with anything but I just noticed the Chinese Caesar pfp and laughed
lol the death claw episode 😄
The ncr rising again from the ashes will be so peak and I say this as a unbiased person
bros gonna have to build 40 more settlements in the next game
I say with my NCR support role
Ncr minutemen alliance will be peak too
Do you think we will see or here maxson
I'm being goofy right, tha'ts not a sequoia on the left?
not at all, lol i think the BOS story is done
i believe next season is going to adapt more of the narrative beats of Fallout 3.
He was already mentioned but BOS story is done
hunting revolver
in the top back?
Maxon was mentioned this episode so he’s still around and kicking
yeah, sequoia is more decorated, with black and gold
except instead of Lyons its Maxson and hes probably more reasonable than Quintus. and the Enclave showing up
how did I not notice there were 3 people at the ncr camp
Maxson would def be the one to straighten up the rival chapters and put quintus in his place
I mean Quintus would probably melt if he saw the descendent of Roger Maxson
I’m so disappointed in quintas I thought he was smarter
heh ol Betty must regret splitting vault 33 now lol. I suspect 32 and 333 going to have some civil wars
I assume he knows who he is rebelling against
Yea but i think its much different versus meeting him in person
Like I dont think Quintus probably has met Maxson
We outta send those brotherhood raiders back to the Stone Age and have them cowering in bunkers tbh
I must admit the commonwealth not pulling the liberty prime card is odd
Maybe that’s why they need cold fusion
Did you really?
love it
crazy
Like if they are gonna introduce maxson in season 3. They will probably make the brotherhood somehow redeemable. Because the narrative beats of fallout 3 or 4 is even tho the brotherhood was always bad, they at least had some resemblance of heroism. Plus they are the only ones fit enough to fight the Enclave if they are the villains next season
Ugh I need the next episode already
Real
Thought he was a genius the way he spoke to Maximus and realized the brotherhood was failing
Why would they? They don't need to, I said this initially. Assuming Maxson was watching them to begin with - which explains how Xander came to them so quickly, and had knowledge of the meeting before hand - There's no reason for them to deply Liberty Prime. Xander's MERE presence, made them all fold and immediately change their tunes.
Liberty Prime is probably only one of a kind rn
And Xander technically didn't do anything, besides just be there.
sure they made so many airships but i dont think they made more than one Prime
It's their trump card, you never show or throw out your best asset first.
More just the threat than actually bringing it
Ain't you lot got work or school, we over 1k messages in here already god damn
Its why we need Enclave and NCR+BOS team up. It would be PEAK
Nah, cause we see from this episode Xander WAS the threat. lol
I'm a bit late but I think they might go to the followers, they do go to the wrangler and you can organise a deal between the Garrett twins and the followers
Liberty prime being the proverbial elephant in the room lmao
Honestly that would be an interesting twist the enclave infiltrating the ncr senate
I got school but I’m a senior so lowkey might just skip
like the NCR and Brotherhood will always come together if the enclave is involved
Xander was lowky a joke as a person but his role & it's presence made up for it
Its the objective evil of both of them
Maybe the followers cure lucy
Hoover dam much?
Like say a new ncr forms and its senators end up mirroring the us government before the war including enclave members
I mean I agree, but my point is that the Commonwealth is so feared, that Xander showing up was all it took for them to get scared and switch sides. lol
Yeah
Honestly for fo4 related stuff, I just want to know that the minutemen are still around and kicking and doing good
That's what I'm thinking, not gonna happen though cause civilisation can't exist apparently

They are probably fighting the brotherhood imo
Noooooooooo shot. lol
Like Xander saying its rough in the commonwealth is a clear sign Minutemen are artillery barraging some tin cans
Like while Thadeuss was pretending to be Xander he had 2 whole Elders trying to talk to him to get on the commonwealths good side
Like who else is gonna mess with the BOS unless its some new faction or hell maybe Enclave related
I feel like him saying it was rough out there was either a major exaggeration or a lie tbh
He was lying to manipulate Maximus, he was playing into his good nature and trying to get him to hand over Cold Fusion cause the Commonwealth wanted it in the first place. I don't think Xander was actively feeding important information.
This, 10000% this.
Lucy’s character just got 20 times better
The bos is struggling with completing all the quests Preston gives them tbh
Exactly.
I think he was bullshitting and it's just an excuse for more power, why would they have spare suits lmao and why is he so dripped out
I dont think he was lying because it would be intriguing to show why Maxson shows up in season 3 for the Cold Fusion himself
-# & then one of the elders stabbed the other lol
It would make sense on how to introduce him
Helios one?
Brother, we don't even know if Maxson is showing up.
I don't think we'll see him till at least s3 if at all
lets be real nobody remembers helios one imo at this point besides Elijah and hes def dead
They made the deathclaws SO buff it’s insane
I think he'll be brought up more tho
|| Season 3 is gonna focus on building the foundation for Fallout 5, it's probably not gonna touch much of Boston related stuff. ||
No way, I'll bet money on it he doesn't make it into the show.
My guess is it'll build up the context for ||fallout 5||
I think they'll talk about him, or mention him.
Elder McNamara?, but honestly you're right we should've have more of that in the game, they wouldn't forget, no one forgot bitter springs
Yeah, I agree.
Least with the factions states, prolly not the main story
Like it'll show us how the factions are by then but not completely why they're there
|| I like the idea of releasing season 3 decades before Fallout 5 comes out. It will be like the teaser for TES VI||
Sure xander could be bluffing but like why bluff anyway. Hes not bluffing imo that he could beat maximus in a fight. Hes a paladin. He got snuck from behind by Maximus which was a surprise
I believe when maximus locked the elder in the room the elder will die because currently the brotherhood is tearing each others throats out and they won’t realise he’s in there
How did the helios control end up in freeside
I reckon he might make some cameo appearance at either the end of s2 or even s3 from a sorta distance & we'll only see his shadowed figure
He's bluffing to get the relic that the Commonwealth wanted original, purely because they were supposed to technically give it to the Commonwealth anyway. lol
Like the commonwealth for this season has played a part for the show
Remember, the Hunt for Wilzig CAME from the Commonwealth.
why waste it on just one paladin when they can further development
He probably thought Maximus was a strong believer in the codex
They ordered Quintus to hunt him down, I imagine, the Commonwealth, kinda wants their relic. lol
He just walks out days later & they all freeze just for him to die of dehydration or a heart attack or something lol
like i hope the commonwealth makes more of an appearance next season because its more interesting once the civil war ends
they sent men over from the Prydwen to get it and last I checked. Wasn't Knight Titus bitching about finding Toaster ovens, and just complaining the Wasteland sucks? He didn't mention anything about Boston, or the Brotherhood fighting people in the Commonwealth.
I'm kinda sick of the brotherhood why do they have to be in every single game, heck their name appears in the title of 2 games already
Yeah like the show is focusing on the West, I want more Western developments, it'd be dumb if they try and shoehorn in Maxson specifically.
Theres a good chance apart of the commonwealth chapter isn't even in the main parts of the commonwealth from f04 & more out west from the games map as they expand around that area
i mean why would he. He didnt talk to maximus much
He's from Boston, he has a Boston accent. lol He would know.
Like why’s he gonna release his origins to a dude that needs to give him a stimpak
Xander was tryna charisma check maximus
Nah I imagine if you're dying and bitching about specifics of the Brotherhood - you choose clerics, but not mention is your faction is fighting a war?
I'm ok with the show but please why do they have to destroy every rebuilt part of civilisation, I thought the whole point of fallout was rebuilding
I love Lucy’s character so much more now that she’s actually doing something
Meh, maybe, but tbf that dosen't mean he'd have to have been in boston much, most of the chapter would prolly have an accent by now
I hate it too but it's Todd's favorite faction (literally)
i dont think bros gonna start monologuing how his chapter is in trouble and shits gone down in the commonwealth when hes busy dying and complaining about the present
They gotta include that fallout 4 painting with todd on it
I disagree, but that's just me. I don't buy the Commonwealth being in trouble one bit, I genuinely think Xander was lying.
that be so weak imo
Todd is going to be the shadowy enclave figure from the board meeting in season one I'm calling it
It's def comfirmed in ep 3 that Maxson is still alive and in charge of the commonwealth brotherhood (and de facto the rest of the chapters). Though for the relevance it has on the show, it might as well confirm the queen of england is still alive
This.
Xander lying just to get maximus to hand over the cold fusion when the writers know how juicy it is to get some fallout 4 lore
It's literally a tease, like majority of the stuff is referencing other games, it ain't that deep.
yea but like Maxson name drop is deep
People get lost in their headcanon and get mad when it doesn't play out how they envisioned.
I don't think they're in any real trouble but I think they'll still be doing alot of work in the commonwealth, & I'm willing to guess (assuming bos ending is cannon) they're working with the minutemen agianst some threat like the gunners since by the time of f04 they're decently geared
Like this show’s dialogue is smart it knows what its doing
I really don't understand why they made the Kings Ghoulified. It doesn't add anything to the story at all
Nothing they can't handle, more just a reason as to why they haven't moved on from the area much
But man that Alaska Sequence was cool as hell
Its getting fans hooked because they start saying little teases to get u
Naw it's just establishing both time and an easter egg for people who've played the games (which is only like half the viewership I'd wager)
nothing more imho
both literally and figuratively
Not really he mentioned Roger, and Arthur, it's just them being named drop? || If the Fallout 5 leaks are true, and it's taking place in San Fran, all of this is irrelevant anyway. ||
Nuh uh we gotta destroy all civilisation cause war doesn't change or somethin
confirming basically 2 possible endings for fo4 is a big deal
Liked that the PLA officer was a women, and their casual loathing of their own higher officers
like lets not even try and downplay fallout 4 just because its a lesser fallout game. Thats like actually cool
and how shit early power armour was lol
Yeah, I agree, this is what I mean like folks get to lost in the sauce then get disappointed. Majority of this is surface level stuff for fans, and normies, the show is mostly geared towards people who don't understand the major lore implications. So it's not gonna be THAT deep.
It's like confirming the fallout 1 ending
Elder Maxson confirmation is development for fallout 4’s events
like ofc we should be excited
They should have turned to camera and screamed "NEW VEGAS ISN'T CANON" for the entire rest of the episode. Total Cinema that would have been
Correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn there was an airship in that alaskan sequece
Oh it did do that, and that is a major deal for the games. But for the show, it's pure background
Enough about the BoS how about how the the glorious two headed bear flag will fly over the Mojave once more
shows for fans and new viewers
There are a bunch of airships pre war for no reason. Seems like the VFX just copied and pasted in order to fill the skies
I actually really like the show but yeah this is my biggest gripe, i think people would find it more interesting to see how people rebuild than people never being able to rebuild
There's been like 2 so far but I just don't like the retconning of the airships being pre war
Like the show is basically the only content we have gotten that further develops fallout’s lore
If it had been a thing for a few games or least mentioned in f04 I prolly would have been fine with it but Ion like it as a retcon
We have not gotten a new single player fallout game in like 10 years and 8 for fo76
Like yea ofc some are gonna be excited
At least Freeside seems to going as well as it did in New Vegas (not very)
Yes but it's developing lore for || Fallout 5 specifically, it's building towards the West, not the East. ||
They do seem to be setting up the NCR as I do hate to say it, generic good guys (really the only faction that could fill that role in fallout) and I do think we're in for a reveal later on that they're far stronger than what we've seen. The other factions have all been presented as in civil war, so it makes narrative sense the NCR will turn out to be both at large and unified.
Tldr; Think the potrayal of the NCR right now is a bait and switch
ofc its developing lore for fo5. Where else is it gonna go
Fo4 develops off the events of fo3. thats what sequals do
You just know they're gonna have fisto in the next episode cause funny robot guy says funny line
The shows great but I think they should develop more side content outside of the show & games such as making novels on side stories to develop parts of the wasteland not directly tied to the games
I agree.
We've got some graphic mini novels like the puppet vault guy but full on novels would be sick
I could see the nuking of shady sands being a sort of thing to make the ncr get its act together
Sure i agree but the shows specifically has been what is essentially like a new game for us all.
It'd be a great way to get a larger audience while providing new forms of content that can be pushed out between games
The show is better than my expectations but it does seem like for some parts they use nostalgia baiting as cover for mediocre writing. Nothing particularity egregious yet but it is noticeable
Yeah lol
And there's still the Hub, San Fran, etc - the NCR was(/hopefully is) an actual nation state, not just shady sands
Like im sure maybe amazon will milk fallout and do spin offs like the boys
It's been more noticable this season, as I think the showrunners and writers have been forced more to deal with the game's lore
I wish they made all the factions in the show less sorta simplified and mainstream, house is billionares are evil cartoon villains, ncr is good guys that never win, khans are generic raider cannon fodder for the protags to kill for spectacle, bos is in the show cause they have to be like come on
But it seems like it was in Bethesda’s interest to use the show as a way to give a sequal-like experience of Fallout games on a different medium because the next game isnt out until like 5-6 years from now
Not only that, the West hasn't gotten proper development in such a long time. Even me, a long time brotherhood fan - doesn't want any involvement from the East tbh.
It should be somewhat of a new slate, NCR lost territory, new factions can move in or get built, we can potentially get a stronger/better NCR now that they have less territory to focus on and can focus on reestablishing themselves.
Bringing in the Commonwealth on a large scale is such a stupid idea for that. Which is one on the reasons, I think that Xander was lying, and because it looks like the civil war just solved itself. It's possible that Maxson later decides he wants to invade for Cold Fusion specifically but that's debatable.
Kind of agreed. They've treated the BOS, as they're a main faction, with more nuance than the NCR but I would argue that's an issue of screen time, and the fact right now the NCR are least being presented as basically fallout's answer to the republic of china
On another note I genuinely loved the t45 in the show it looked so nice, but visor up didn't really get to see much of that beautiful helmet
while i agree the west coast hasnt. Its clear the show just wants to branch out into every Fallout game than just New Vegas fans. Like showing Anchorage is pretty clear they want to touch on content Bethesda has made
I mean tbf while the commonwealth chapter is powerful they still need more stuff, & with almost all of it's known controlled chapters basically nuking themselves in a civil war while cold fusion's been taken & is at a great risk of getting yoinked by some other faction now I think it makes sense as to why the commonwealth may come in on a larger scale
Im not saying they should just make a show in the East but i also think theres nothing wrong bringing good aspects from the east to the west
Eh, the Commonwealth has more Eastern Chapters under their belt.
I just noticed ur hammer down tag that’s awesome
Yeah, I actually own the server as it's a faction for a game lol
If we're trusting what Proctor Quinlan says in Fallout 4 as truth, then Maxson has a dozen absorbed into his ranks?
Not counting the Western ones.
Chapters?
like I have a feeling the Enclave when they are shown off will probably wear X-02 power armor from Fallout 3 a lot more than the advanced just because thats bethesda’s vision of the enclave rlly
Yes, Proctor Quinlan specifically says Maxson asborbed other eastern Chapters.
we havent gotten advanced power armor since fallout NV
I lowky wanna get that voiceline in game now because I don't think I've heard it before (or I forgot)
Units for lack of better term, but autonomous. Like regional governments. Maxson has combined them into one unified eastern command by the events of fallout 4
Welp theres my reason to start another playthrough
I wouldn't mind that as long as we have the apa from fallout 2 I'm happy
That much is obvious but to what extent since I don't recall the amount of chapters present (& likely merged) on the east coast ever being stated
hence why in this episode other chapters were bending over backwards to please the commonwealth, they hold probably half of the brotherhoods military power? What would've been a dozen eastern reps was just Xander for the commonwealth
it would imo make a lot of sense releasing a Fallout 3 remastered on a season that hints at lot about fallout 3 or 4 just for one season
Proctor Quinlan goes into lengths about Maxson's army stretching across the Eastern Seaboard.
Fallout 3 remaster would be so dope, I hope they do include the mechanics from new vegas in there too though that would be great
like Bethesda had a missed opportunity to get a remastered New Vegas this season
Yeah, the thing to remember to is Maxson is an expansionist but his goal is a unified Brotherhood. Because he knows how fractured they've been. He's also the defacto High Elder atm. He just has a different title. Supreme Commander.
He's pretty much doing High Elder duties, and has authority in everything but title itself.
I feel like 3 needs a remaster more tho tbh, nv doesn't have the greatest gameplay but to me feels like quite an improvement over 3's
i would like a 3 remaster but with the new vegas hype this season. They missed the chance to fit the hype
Like fo3 remaster will be cool but also like i hope theres also some fallout 3 related content in other places
I encourage you to talk to all the Brotherhood characters at lengths, do their quests, and speak to them about Maxson. It's super interesting what they have to say about him - given he's so young, too. He's only 20 as of Fallout 4.
Even with title, it's not like any chapter (except for Maximus', until he just fucked that in this ep lol) had power to truly unify. At best, they could get fuedal fear/loyalty from other chapters, but it's an impossibility to rule over a place that is a month's travel away
At least, in terms of true unified control
Master?!?
season 3 or 4 is just Maximus shooting maxson cause he seems to have to just kill the next person in power lol
Yeah I've done countless playthroughs on f04 I'm prolly just forgetting alot of the specfic dialog since it's been a couple years
Agreed.
Like no one else could actually do it, his bloodline helps.
But overall, Maxson is a good leader for the Brotherhood. Given his ideals are a mix of Roger and Owyn Lyons'.
I'll grab the quotes for you, if you want
Yeah thanks
Funny thing I don't talk to the brotherhood I usually just like seeing the prydwen fireworks
Lol
I just laugh as they die to farmers and artillery
And I've done quite a few playthroughs of 4, most of em end in a firework show
Heresy
Sounding like the prophet of truth over here lol
"As of 2287, Elder Maxson's reign in the Capital Wasteland was uncontested, and his authority and influence were spreading across the East Coast. The Prydwen was a key element of the Brotherhood's power projection, rallying people to his cause. In addition, Maxson had been in contact with other chapters over the years. In the words of Proctor Quinlan, who documented Maxson's rise, "he has the full support of the Elders back on the West Coast, who have proudly reported that they've begun eradicating cults that have popped up, worshipping Maxson as though he's some kind of god." Maxson was offended by the idea of being deified, as it went against his beliefs. He is satisfied with being, again in Proctor Quinlan's words, "the perfect human specimen, an example of everything a human being can achieve. Assisted, even enhanced, by advanced technology, but still very much human."
Maxson's authority is reinforced by his accomplishments, growing the Brotherhood in the East from a moribund group of complacent stragglers occupying a single Citadel into a major military force capable of projecting power along the Eastern Seaboard. Thanks to his tenacity and singular vision, the men that serve under his command do so with pride and unmatched loyalty, with one soldier mentioning they were ready to invade hell itself."
I feel like if Maxson is able to further unite the bos by a later game we could see a major plot point of the bos getting close to or focusing on being able to develop power armour frames as opposed to just pieces
(I don't recall the brotherhood being able to manufacture actual frames as the chinese couldn't even reverse engineer them to do it)
Like I'm pretty sure that Pre-war America were the only ones able to manufacture the actual power armour frames as they developed them
My lore in PA is lacking, but my basic understanding is that the BOS reverse-engineered their T45s into T60s.
Pieces are fairly easy compared to frames since literal raiders have been able to make scrap iterations of pieces
t60s were retconned into being the best pre war design for pa
But a working frame was such a closely guarded secret pre war no ones been able to make em since
-# For now..
I actually don't think so - we had this discussion the other day. But I'm not too knowledgeable on PA lore. @lilac drum would be the one to confirm or deny that.
Greatest prophet btw
I'm guessing you got this from the wiki?
Actually wait I know this isn't true cause 76 retconned it.
On a fallout 4 loading screen tip it says this to the best of my memory, I may be wrong but I'm 99% certain
I feel like "best" is subjective. T60 looks like an upgrade package to the t45, as why would you go back to the pauldrons when the t51 had an arguably better design. We know corporate America was cheap, so t51 was probably too expensive to order in huge numbers like the t60.
Yeah, it's the information you find in-game.
I mean I love 76 but like the games got so many sets of power armour I feel like half of them can't be canon, tho I could see the excavator being plausible
It's something along the lines of being the latest to be produced pre war & was the most advanced model n active use/deployment (in America) shortly before the bombs
Now it might offer superior protection to the T45, while being cheaper than t51, which is why that might've been ordered in larger numbers
Unfortunately lol, I thought so too but they are.
Could you send the wiki link by any chance?
Yeah sure.
I’m pretty sure u can read this in game
Medieval plate armour looks like an upgrade from the t-45 from what we saw
Alot of 76 isn't cannon, I think it'd be safe to assume if it isn't in a story quest or location it may not be cannon
Yeah but with the wiki link I'll know where to find it in game
about that lol
I agree
I would much rather be a normal infantryman than a power armour soldier during the great war, if the the T-45 was that shit
The t45 still protected him
the fuck is the point of power armour if you can't move your arm or one small arm shot disables your leg?
It was decent but if someone got lucky & hit a flaw or knew how to exploit one then you were pretty fucked
I mean he would've been even more cooked without it
T-45 was a rushed prototype, T-51 was the real deal that helped win Anchorage
As far as I know Bethesda has confirmed all of 76 is canon, even if it trampled over old lore - they labeled it as adding more context. And also because surprisingly, a lot of 76 is showing up in the show, too.
They did spray over 90 rounds into him, the sheer kinetic force probably overwhelmed the already taxed servos
And how was Charlie white knife supposed to save him wtihout it
I mean some stuff like alot of non lore content eg pa paints/cosmetics
Wdym? If you mean with the deathclaw, it recognized him as an US soldier and moved on. It was a genetically engineered weapon of the US army, we knew that already, the obvious subtext was it's friend/foe recognition - hell just pure overt text
I mean against the reds, any normal armor would've failed
Even then, those are somewhat canon too. In regards to the atomic shop, how they base what's canon and what isn't is based on what sells. It's why the RobCo robo dog is now canon that was introduced solely through the cash shop as a collectron skin.
But it sold well, and people liked it. So popularity in that specific department - is what dictates it.
You actually see it in this episode lol
The robco dog is in the corner
Weren't they already considered cannon due to stuff like rex in f0nv?
Nah that's a robco cat
Least inferenced
I will continue in my hot take the more the show goes on, the more the chinese seem to be the good guys
No, Rex was an entire different lore concept and idea. The RobCo dog is something specific.
No you're right because capitalism bad
The PLA was trying to liberate the oppressed american proletariat, under the fascist rule of the enclave, into socialism and democracy
I imagine the cat will be next.
The same good guys who killed non Chinese agents in the food factory? The same Chinese who killed their own agents and gave their family extra rations in return?
The Chinese were just as shitty
I wonder if we could get a glimpse into canada in a steph flashback
I mean, the entire point of all the games in some way is "capitalism is fucking dog shit, but it's better than this hobbesian nightmare post nukes"
I hope. But I wonder who she's working for 🤔
I bet she's the power armour soldier who shot the Canadian along with nate laughing
Never once has pre-war american been shown to be anything but a fasistic hellhole, but compared to the post nuclear apocalypse of course it looks great
so far our only real content actually showing canada directly has been the lone wander fuckig blasting them from an alien mothership
Enclave!!!
& that
I'm sure people in 350AD were pining for the days of 250AD during the final days of the empire, when there were still aqueducts and highways
Season 3 big bad steph with the Enclave I'm callin it
Also it's not confirmed to be Nate, that was a writers head cannon, not offical cannon
Steph is most likely a communist spy to toss that angle in
Dude really thinks the communism in the show is good, the system is just as shit as capitalism
it wasnt the writers headcanon, he joked about it and people took it seriously, lol
In the follow up tweet he made about the joke he stated it as a head cannon no?
So many people got offended but I thought it was pretty funny
fallout fans struggle with whats canon or not, some people dont think 76 is canon because it isnt called fallout 5, as an example
... yeah, because people mistook it for being serious and not a joke, the fallout fanbase has maxed out the fake outrage trait.
(they also cant read, which is another big problem)
crazy
Wonder if we're going to get any references to any player characters in the show
Don't think theres been any yet-
Watch the "everyone dies" ending of FNV be canon
Only ones we could possibly get would be the courier & the sole survivor
and we just hear tales of this nigh unstoppable machine killing everybody known only as "the courier"
The only canon that matters to me is mine and Nate IS a war criminal
Homicidal boomers bomb everyone ending
I think if we get a courier reference it'll be fairly subtle & might go over a few peoples heads
I am busy watching!
The 2 9mms sure didn't
Probably will be a house throwaway line
yes man ending is most likely it seems like, lol
If we get a sole survivor reference it'll deffo be through a mention of either the minutemen general, a bos mentioning some guy in a vault suit back in boston, or the bos mentioning their sentinel
"If that fucking mailman could've done his job"
seeing how no faction seems to be alive
and i dont think we are going to get any fo4 references since well, Xander got bonked
Some line about how a package courier was shot in the head at goodsprings and shortly died because yes
They can't write out the courier, not without a major retcon of FNV which doesn't seem in the cards
hell any ending is plausible rn, with shit hitting the fan after.
I beg to differ
The enclave was never in fallout 4 apart from a mod
Ah yes my favourite fallout 4 faction
Bro I don’t get how none of yall did that quest with the enclave operating in the commonwealth
Iconic for being the cover art of the game
That isn’t canon
I did it u get a tesla canon from it im pretty sure i never once installed mods and I did it on Xbox there is an enclave quest in fallout 4
We did see the legion in camp McCarran in the ending slide
No but I didn’t use a mod there’s like an actual quest for them it’s not America rising and your not on their side
And then at the end of the fight a vertibird fights you I swear to god I sound crazy but I know what I’m talking about
It’s creation club
Is that not canon then?
Technically it was an official bethesda expansion, I got it for free with an update not even realizing it
50/50 canon
It’s not America rising
it's up to debate - is the gospel of thomas canon?
It’s something else are you referencing America rising?
Wait a moment they mentioned coca cola in a song does that mean it's canon
Weren't the creation club enclave mods that were made free from the next gen update made partly cannon?
Yea a lot of things were made free
Not canon though
I swear I remember reading that the ones practically added to f04 through the next gen update were in part cannon
I’m getting the Dave’s hot chicken thing tdy
No
It never was retconned ever
Only in fallout 4 was it retconned but in 76 they fixed it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiayZdPESno naw just a song that fits the fallout aethestic and cultural time period. Though in my mind, I associate this song with Mafia 2 lol
We’re T60 made pre war or post war I never knew this
Nope
It was never confirmed how the BoS exactly got a massive number of T-60
The only reason you stating reverse engineered is techinally due to how similar T-45 and T-60 are and i made an assumption that due to how similar they are, the BoS could in theory managed to find a way to upgrade their existatnacing T-45 into T-60, either through reverse engineer or schematics they found
Pre-war
They were in production only months before the nukes came
Schematics
It never even went into production just plans
I have no idea
That is 76 exclusive but from what i read
It was just a one time thing
Its meant for secret service
Nothing more
The major power armors are the T-45, T-51, and T-60
It’s apart of a quest where you break into a vault full of gold, every time you get gold you get to trade it in for some plans to make the armor
The secret service is guarding the gold
You break into a vault of gold?
No wonder why i heard the economy in 76 is broken
Theres an economy?
Apparently from what i read
But you guys broke it so hard that there is no economy
Im pretty sure you can’t actually trade the gold
it’s like a currency similar to caps or atom points,
Its gold bullion , but what has this got to do with ep 4
Yeah
I came in here to discuss ep4 and i got pinged for PA lore
And i was about to mention how cool it was that the T-45 actually malfunction and showed how rushed the PA was
I feel bad for the Lyons chapter of the BOS if t45 is that shitty though, superior to regular combat armor, but god the malfunctions
I think its that actually shitty but its cleared that they got crashed and were lucky to be alive
How the fuck did they beat the enclave and super mutant forces
It's an economy in which bethesda ignores the actual forces of the economy and just enforces set prices like it's warlord era china
Enclave?
Liberty prime
Super mutant force?
Sheer will power, skill and a whole lot of bodies
People forget the T-45 is that bad when i did PA lore XD
The T-45 was rushed into production
They did not have time to test everything and had to create something
Think you're forgetting the rando in a vault suit casually clearing half of the enclave forces
I wasn’t thinking of liberty prime when I said that ngl
That also but lets be fair
The protaganist will always crush everything
liberty prime is pretty forgettable
I...
Idk how you forget that
Idk hes just forgettable
A robot that yells communist should be dead and throws nukes is forgettable to you...
Yea
You know what never mind
I realised this isnt even related to ep4 discussion
Where was i?
Oh right yeah
I was gonna mention how very trigger friendly lucy has suddendly become
Great character development imo - her whole experience with the legion has kind of put a few holes in her "golden rule" idea
Yeah although to be fair
Lucy is on drugs right now XD
she's now on the more maoist "those who have committed evil against the proletariat and mankind must pay, via all means needed" bent lmao
Not quite that but she seems far more John Brown than Abe Lincoln now
Even the ghoul was like:
WOW SLOW DOWN THERE!
I knew it was fucked when Lucy was gun ho and the Ghoul looked legit terrified
Btw, just me, but we should probably call the Ghoul Cooper or Howard or something. Obviously the same person, even if nobody else knows it
I just prefer to call him the ghoul
Beside The ghoul sound better than saying his name
It also seperate him
The ghoul being the wasteland
Cooper being pre-war
Same person but different eras
Also
I am so glad they finally confirmed that its actually elder maxson cause i was so confused on what the hell was the commonwealth BoS
I know it was from elder maxson but it just felt weird calling them the commonwealth
I gotta ask, was that the King with the guitar? If so, RIP
Unfortunately he was
RIP my goat hopefully we get to see how you turned and what happened to you in the next episode
why were there deathclaws in alaska
If he was running away, it makes me think he was not feral
Because they were loosing the war it seems like
I thought THE SAME EXACT THING AT FIRST
They were loosing Alaska I think they deployed them behind enemy lines and the death claws absolutely shredded the Chinese
because emil pagliarulo is a fucking hack
My guess is they were deployed by the Enclave
Pretty scary to think about
Or, whatever the Enclave was before the bombs
Def not they were loosing Alaska so they were deployed but didn’t let anyone know because they wanted it to seem like our soldiers did the work
That would make sense, but I'm thinking Enclave or super high-ranking government personnel authorized them to be deployed in the field
We know that the Enclave were controlling deathclaws in fo3
They probably didn't intend for Coop to see one though
so could the enclave also deploy them in the strip for some reason
it's already known deathclaws are pre war, me personally i just find wartime application a little ridiculous. this bit-by-bit pre war canonizing of everything is starting to get a little ridiculous that's all
next thing you know, they're going to find a way to claim half the population of the united states in 2077 were fucking ghouls somehow idk
It seems implied that they weren't widely used in the war considering that Coop didn't know wtf he just saw
I could see them doing limited operations with them to avoid leaking their existence to the public
also it's not a modern fallout entry if people aren't pilfering pre war food 200 years later
damn lucy a crackhead
my problem is we're halfway through the season and not much has happened
the episodes are small too
I doubt it, unless the Enclave are active in the Mojave currently which we have no reason to believe is true thus far
I'd say Maximus's storyline has seen a lot of drama
the storyline in the vaults is pretty boring but the rest is interesting
why else would the deathclaws have taken over the strip were there no defenses or what
I think with Lucy and the Ghoul, they're taking their time so they can introduce FNV's factions and locations to the non gamer audience, and as a little fan service for the rest of us
maybe the deathclaws migrated from the quarry to vegas
THey are just busying getting sidetracked
Which is like the games
no, the deathclaw from the intro is actually the one from the museum of freedom egg
We don't have enough information yet but there are many theories
i understand that but there are only 8 episodes so that's kind of a problem unfortunately
I'm thinking that a human brought an egg into the Strip to sell it, and then an entire herd went ham on the city
tbf
They have 5 plots happening at the same time
So how we betting the Lucy drug addiction arc getting resolved. Toughs it out? takes Fixer? Gets cured at the Old Mormon Fort?
But everything that has happened to the Strip might not only be the deathclaws, I think there's a lot more at play which has led it to where it is now
addictol prob
We have BoS plot
We have Lucy and ghoul plot
We have Vault 33 and 32 plot
We have norm plot
We have pre-war plot
We have 5 plots happening
The fact that they are actually soemhow doing a good job moving foward is amazing
It's hard to catch in games when you're just clearing dungeons but feral ghouls will run when they're down to the last one or two
they're not tho they're wasting time
They detected radiation inside the Strip too, not sure if that was just from the deathclaws or something else but it might provide some explanation as to why the Kings are all ghouls
Well the show is designed with fallout themes and every fallout player get side tracked
I prefer that way so much cause it feels like fallout so much
And beside, lets be honest
We all have a good guess happening at the end, its not about the destination, its about the journey
Or in this case, too many journeys and no idea what the destination lies
15 years after new vegas game everything went to shit
Steph's biggest crime
Was her geiger counter making the sound throughout the scene or just at the eggs.
Being Canadian
I think you could only hear it when she was near the eggs
OH GOD
NO!!!!!!!!
I low-key love how the Vault pov is so low stakes and high stakes at the same time
I could swear that Deathclaw nests in Fallout 4 give radiation
Steph being Canadian is revealed as this shocking thing, while they're discussing experimenting on humans
was it my imagination or did they play the fo4 theme at one point?
They did
When the NCR gave lucy and ghoul weapons
I love that I get the lore of fallout and I get to explain to my friends who don't get it.
I actually just thought of something. Deathclaws tend to be attracted to radiation, right? So maybe there's another source of it in the Strip for whatever reason and THAT is why the deathclaws are there
Relegated to being the fucking crown enemy in a Fallout 4 dungeon portrayed on TV. What a way to go 😭
Would also explain ghoulified Kings
i loved the buffout addiction bit.
Deathclaw Eggs give radiation damage in Fallout 4 so probably just that
Maybe the Legion sent a spy to detonate a dirty bomb or something
Was the Deathclaw inside Gomorrah
possible theory is irradiated water? cause vegas strip didnt seem destroyed by a bomb
Dirty bomb as in a radiation emitting device like the one found in Searchlight, not something that actually explodes
that could be it.
Yeah feels vegas has been searchlighted
Maybe a Deathclaw egg was taken into the Ultra Lux and it attracted it's mother
Feels weird how House wouldn't notice
Well seeing the destoryed securtrons
Its pretty clear something also happened
Depends when it happened,
But then again, he didnt knew gommorah had secret weapons and there is a weapon dealer in vegas so clearly house isnt doing great in terms of security
isnt house still alive? his face was on the computer in the trailer
A chlorine bomb
And somehow new vegas doesnt have a canon ending despite that
The fact the omertas buy girls from freeside implies some level of movement
Idk what the fuck they are doing with the damn ending thing in the show
I think something about House is still there
Whether it's his body, or a digital backup I don't know
Then techinally yes man would be the canon ending
I wonder if they'll lean into the House Brain Scan digitised his Consciousness
and it actually makes the most logical sense
Yes man would be the most confusing ending in the series
Maybe they just retcon that house is under camp golf instead of the lucky 38
That would be an insult to every one of us
i think its a mix of yes man and house ending
cause legion and ncr definitely didnt win
Great place to vacation, camp golf. Makes your skin glow
You... cant mix both
that is even possible
But lucy and yes man interacting would be fun
Its either yes man or house
Cannot be both
I think it's Yes Man but we have a digital House
But i am certain that its yes man because its the only one that explains how the strip is so messy
In the yes man ending, there is anarchy in the strip
It might explain why we see the Ghoul and House together
I'm loving how t45 is portrayed. Gives the average soldier incredible survivability, but shit mobility
I remember seeing a theory that the House we see is Yes Man pretending to be him with a fake digital display
house survives but he loses, if that makes sense. so yes man ending without killing house
I mean, if it werent for the deathclaw that PLA officer was about to stab cooper in the eye lmao
but you have to kill house to do yes man ending
Possible so much of houses plan relied on the ncr
Feels like Yes Man would be such a weird ending, why would he want to pretend to be House?
He was an immobilized tank
He may not of intended too just that code he found overwrote him
theyre gonna retcon houses death. the guy in the basement was a body double 😂
All the easier for someone to drop a grenade through the hatch, so to speak
That is also a possibility
The nukes of the NCR would certainly make house caught off gaurd
Man what the fuck happened to vegas
Not just much, but all. He literally has no point for vegas without an actual consumer base with capital to spend
Also the legion did not collapse as quick as house planned so they got a hit on vegas
Why is there radiation all over the strip
some people assume legion radiated the place
I'm guessing a legion radiation bomb but idk
I don't know, but I think that's why the deathclaws are there
Personally i think the legion pulled a searchlight again
It was NCR scouts at the Dam that made him actually clean up the place - I wonder if in the abscene of the NCR he's just let it go back into controlled decay
Yea that's what I'm thinking
I feel so stupid for not linking Ronnie's Future Enterprise Ventures to FEV
What's the point of a casino state with no people to gamble?
ayo
We know Bud came from WestTek, I bet some of the vault 31 is using FEV to do something
What a lame ass episode ngl
Some cool stuff but kinda a major let down to have the strip be completely dead
Which strain
We don't know
Ronnie when talking to Norm mentions Future Enterprise Ventures
He also survived 90+ shots from 3 7.62x39 rifles, and if the rifles are actually 556 that's even more impressive
Funniest part in the episode tho was when Thaddeus says "Oh hey big boy, Let's get the fuck out of this shit hole" so funny
Lol we learned Steph's evil secret, she's a Canadian
So can a tank lol, once it's tracked though it's basically helpless, like a turtle on it's shell
It's why she's so psychotic
I wonder what's in Hanks keep sake box that she wants
wrap up the vault story, just infect them all with FEV and move on
Provides great survivability, until you can't move lol
A turtle doesn't have machine guns or a cannon
10 bucks on a vault 31-32 civil war
shiii ill bet 100
Of course this is true. But a tank that can't move is open to the rear, and the sides, with a Stevie Wonder esque field of vision
Betty might actually become a good guy tbh she does kinda seem like she doesn't give af about vault tec and was mostly following the rules to maintain a functioning society
This, now she's found Buds dead she seemed to take it pretty well?
I'm worried for Woody. I feel like he's gonna try to sneak over to Vault 33 to try and warn Betty that Steph is plotting against them but then Betty just ends up having Woody killed for knowing things he's not supposed to know
She didn't say he was dead she just said bud was upside down in the trash, I don't think he's dead
Its the worst fucking thing ever!
She must be removed from position AT ONCE
I don't think we'll see Bud again
Literally every single fallout player ever
He's as good as dead
Probably not but I don't think he's dead he's just a Roomba brain now
Also loved how Quintus' went from loving father to crazed zealot in 2s
My take too. The nazi looking chick (forget her name) seems full on Vault Tech fascist, but Betty seems to realize that Vault Tech is at best a vague idea, and what matters is the community surviving and sharing resources collectively (which is almost like an ideology loathed in the US)
Steph
"HERETIC HERETIC!" he shouts after learning bro didn't wanna kill kids
eyepatch girl?
Ghoul Kids
That was the most warhammer 40k i have ever seen XD
The lucky 38 has moved
Yeah, the one that looks like she should go "It would not be difficult mein fuhrer!"
"WHATS THE FIRST RULE OF THE BROTHERHOOD?? KILL GHOUL KIDS, IDIOT!"
He would been fine if maximus just said normal kids
The elder would be like
Sure that is fine, i mean kids are kids, that is too far
Sir it was ghoul kids
YOU FUCKING HERTIC SCUM!
Pretty dope we finally saw a laser gun fired tho
I was so happy about that
I was like
YEAH FINALLY, THIS THING IS NOW SHOOTING INSTEAD OF GUNS ALL DAY LONG!
im willing to forgive her since shes pretty
Also the end credit scene shows camp McCarran completely dead and abandoned too rip
I can't believe how quickly those chapters were to turn on each other
lucy on the other hand is a full on junkie, seen a few of those walking down LA
The song choices in this episode also weren't very good I found
It is also so far from the strip
And usually i would be annoyed but then again
I never understood why in the original game, the bloody airport was right next to the damn lucky 38
They had an iconic song tho play in the credits
What's the name of the Asian American lady that was speaking to Norm about driving over the bridge a week earlier
https://youtu.be/ybSzoLCCX-Y?t=8 Vault Tech pitching the vaults to the enclave
Peter Sellers and George C. Scott discuss the Cold War "mineshaft gap"
That one was actually in fallout 4
They have names?
Yeah the guy was called Ronnie
claudia
Wasn't that the girl that was blind in the previous episode with vaulties
she was blind?
Temporarily ya
sorry i forgot vault lore
I am too busy at the other plots to remember vault lore
the actress or character?
Is she Asian or is she Hispanic
Vault tec really hired all out
Hispanic
Whcih asian to begin with?
Wait what is hispanic again?
Pre war america chinese was likely a no no
like the mexicans
she's filipino irl according to google so probably not meant to be chinese if i had to guess
thats basically hispanic + asian tbh
She is filipino or asain in your case
Anybody else notice in the beginning Alaska scene charlie has to open his helmet to talk because his voice modulator is broken and he also can't use it to contact HQ, yet when he leaves coop he puts the mask down and his voice box works perfectly fine lmao
Umm
Probably an oversight
bit of both
radio was fucked up, not local voice modulator
Lore wise pre war america was really prejudiced against the chinese hence little yangtze etc
He literally tries talking to cooper in the beginning when he's right behind him tho and it doesn't work then
He also literally said the voice modulator was broke
Again
Very much oversight the people making the show
When the old NCR guy responds to Lucy saying there's a lot of NCR there they just aren't there right now I wonder if he's just a senile old man and still thinks shady sands is there in his dementia or what
yeah basically how we treated them during covid
Does the show ever directly refer to the reds as the chinese?
With added experimentation
Yes that's it, isn't it weird how she would have been chosen as a manager resident after just having an interview
They spoke in mandarin TF you mean
But also yes they do call them Chinese
Not seen this ep yet but all other mentions are the reds prior
With Buds Future Enterprise Ventures (FEV) making Super Managers (Super Mutants)?
the reds are chinese by default cause russia isnt a major power
Why are you in the spoiler channel for this episode if you didn't watch it, are you crazy
I think Vault 31, 32, 33 are in for some wild actual experiments, maybe I'm just jumping to wild conclusions
That was over the radio - hence why he opens his visor and the other guy responds in voice modulator with his visor down - difference between a walkie talkie that can only be heard within the helmet and a megaphone broadcasting your position to every red in a kilometer
To a general audience reds would more commonly refer to russia
That was me the second i got pinged by ajax here over pa lore when i was watching
I was like
Why am i even messaging right now, am i insane?
Lol I just didn't open discord til after I finished it
I got pinged so i paushed the show and i saw it was in fallout server and i was oh
Maybe it D A S H pinging me
Nope its ajax in episode 4 channel needing my help over pa lore
yeah maximus is running straight to NCR with that macguffin
true, i think in season 1 they referred to china as the main enermy but i cant remember
i wonder how max will feel if he sees junkie lucy
Thats why i was curious as i only ever heard reds in show
Also the communist brainwashing vault experiment , the video tapes they were watching were in Chinese/mandarin
Using Chinese assault rifles, the Chinese jumpsuits, uniforms, ect
Not everything has to be spelt out
That clearly was meant to be what the fascist pre-war USA viewed as communism tho lol
russia is way weaker though so they cant be as relevant as china
Reminds me of the current day lol
Dude it's proven in game China was just as bad
There's a crashed Russian satellite in the desert in season 1
Irl though if i say the reds to an american they think russia
Looked like a military satellite, probably had weapons on it they used against America
The Soviet union and the Chinese did not get along at all
war... war never changes
So I can see the Russians trying to cozy up to America to possibly get oil
Plus they allowed Russians into vault 13
China and Russia worked together in fallout
When did this happen
In the beginning of fallout 4 if you let Codsworth get you some food he then says something about the war and Nate/Nora can ask who done it, codsworth replies with "Why the communists of course! The Russians AND the Chinese!"
Ah good catch
The game literally puts AND in all capitals too so it's important
Kinda retcons the original fallout then
Na
The whole point of the game is the politics and cultural development did not get past 1960 - so yeah, in 1960 irl the soviet union and china were actually in an undeclared war. All those bunkers in Beijing that exist irl? They were built with the soviets in mind as the enemy, not the USA. Crazy I know, even more so if you're a communist like me. In our timeline, China cozied up to the USA.
But if china is stuck in 1960 politically, like the US is, that means it's basically at the height of Maoist cultural revolution. Even then, I'd rather be chinese in the lore of fallout than american circa 2077
Maoist china did not have private ownership of nuke shelters for a start
Finally, a communist that I can talk to without getting majorly political
i think the devs changed the bad guys from russia to china after the soviet union fell
The Chinese soldiers in this episode explicitly implied their situation is the same as coops tho, and that the guys in charge will soon have them wearing crappy metal suits that gets them killed
I know the Chinese gave the Russians a bloody nose on multiple occasions, and in the 80s they seeked military cooperation with the western countries
Fo76 also has insights into China and it was not nice
in their case its the stealth armor? were those flawed as well?
No they specifically meant power armor
i havent played what did they say?
honestly dont care about the vault plotline. doesnt seem to be leading anywhere, beside maybe lucy comes home and becomes overseer in s3 and opens the vault.
same here, lucys brothers plot is interesting though not the others
You can't leave it ever, even after the war they still get forced into doing evil shit by a shadowy leadership, you get to talk to an actual Chinese Dragoon commando
Basically the commando implied your life is not your own and you have to do whatever the leadership says or you die/ worse
All fairness the enclave was just as fucked up, but yeah the Chinese had fanatics as well
the chinese suits look cool but doesnt feel very fallout
yep, war never changes
Pretty cool how they showed an M4 Sherman tank inside of camp McCarran in the outro, little nod to the NCRs armored division
Should've had a legionary corpse with a spear trying to stab it lol
Tbf, in the 80's that wasn't even about hostility towards russia, they just realized the sinking ship the USSR was.
The issues in the 60's were twofold in cause. First and most important, was land and political sovereignty of the chinese communist party. Dating back to when both Russia and China were empires, there were disputed territories that kind of got put on the back burner until they were both stable socialist states. Second in this point was the Chinese Communists (with merit) felt they were simply an subordinate to Moscow, and not their own socialist party representing chinese interests.
There was a legionary corpse with a spear going through an NCR veteran ranger
So it looks like legion invaded McCarran
The second major point was ideological; basically Mao was a big stalin fan and saw Krushchev as shitting on his legacy in many ways
Which wait, if legion invaded McCarran that implies a legion dam victory
Although I'm pretty sure the show is retconning all of the endings in favor of something new that wasn't possible in game
I remember the soviete cutting off the Chinese with technical data packages for weapons in the early 60s- which is why the type 56 AK has some differences
You should see my collection of communist small arms, I have an rpk, akm, a yugo AK, and until recently, a Chinese SKS. The Chinese make phenomenal firearms
It was crazy how close they got to war. Hence why Nixon visited China during that time
||🇨🇦 ||
damn her parents are probably playing fallout rn
btw, that was in general a crazy visit. Zhou Enlai (premier and de facto head of government at that time) was a rational politician who wanted to get the US as a trading partner. Mao was by this point deep in dementia, ALS, or something similiar (china has never said, if they even know), and his wife, Jiang Qiang, was a raging anti imperialist who loathed the fact the americans were even coming
Those border skirmishes were nasty too, Chinese took a good amount of gear from the soviets
||Its been a while seeing a Vegas, shame its desolated||
When she hosted Nixon and his wife for a staging of one of her ballets, the "red revolutionary guards", she managed to get a deadringer for Kissinger to play the "evil western landlord" character I shit you not
just like irl
Wait wtf, Stephanie Harper, our last good PM was Stephen Harper lol wonder if they chose that name for her on purpose
Hold on, "last good"? I mean the last haven't been steller, and compared to them I guess Harper is the "best" but that's like not actively being incompetent
Yea it sucks but also remember we saw in a previous trailer that the ghoul and Lucy do find people, most likely in freeside
And also didn't he preside over like 2008? I remember him handing out big bailouts to the banks, not to normal people. Seriously "last good"? Compared to Al Jolson and the banker we have in sure, but that's not exactly a high bar
in fact it's a very low bar. It's such a low bar it'd be in the guinness world records of lowest limbo bar
Cool
kinda wild freeside is chilling near an active deathclaw
2
Guys, i just finished watching ep 4, is the last Ghoul with guitar that Lucy Shoot is The Kings Leader???
Dang, she ain't lying
Lucy and the ghoul get chased by two death claws, you see it in the episode 5 preview
shit thats even worse. how the hell has freeside not turned into a massacre yet lol
Yea but also her reason for stabbing him was super dumb
All he said was "the relic has been stolen"
Sometiumes ppl just want to use every excuse to letting chaos unfold
Yea but also I think she's just a bad character in the show
Her line delivery was super bad in the previous episode when they're discussing the civil war
Who cares if her lines is bad or not. Nobody cares about her
not THAT crazy when you take into account that sloan was right outside a whole colony of them at quarry junction
"the codex......... Is up to interpretation" that was cringe af
What about that is fallout 3 lol
nah i was wrong
I thought so
I thought it was a apartment building in FO3 mission where u letting ghoul stay inside mission
Tenpenny tower
yep
🙁 F
I can see it
what a shitty way for a cool character to go out if thats true
true but i guess since there were babies the mother was focused on them
Except it clearly has the word Vault written on it and Tenpenny Tower is over a thousand miles away
He was the only one wearing a white tuxedo
freeside deathclaw needs to eat and freesiders are the next meal
nothing worse than a starving deathclaw
Wonder what it was doing at the Gomorrah
I'm curious as to how the kings even got ghoulified
Probably eating cachino
Was it House's doing?
No
House would never harm the strip or the people there because theyre apart of his plan and he needs their money
I mean yeah china was developing as fast as the usa just going the stealth route over the power route
The clothes are similar to the Kings Leader
||Even 200 years, there are still no vehicle ||
true, i dont remember the king having a guitar though
Always walking on foot
But the kings were outside the strip. I'm not talking about the deathclaw
why didnt they just take a vertibird is my question
Anyone else thought it was dumb that they had the prydwen style airships fighting in Alaska lol, couldn't the Chinese easily take those out
No. You'd need heavy ordinance for that
An auto cannon kills one
Do you think the fiends are still kicking?
The Chinese can't just carry artilleries with them
You think that the Chinese invading Alaska didn't bring any heavy ordinance?
Remember that the Chinese had a huge shortage of vehicles, to the point where they rigged up drilling vehicles as tanks
Who care abot the guitar, It's definitely him, his clothes and his hair.
And it was on an island, probably just an infantry base camp
would’ve preferred them over ghoulified kings tbh, especially now that lucy is supposed to be a drug addict
Nope. Otherwise PA units should've been easily neutralized. They must've not had enough heavy ordinance
Cook cook
True it was an island so not too big I hope another episode expands on the Alaskan front more
They don’t know how to fly
Did we watch the same episode? Cooper's power armor literally gets taken out by AKs
khans are gonna kill these vault goobers next ep 100%
I got cringe when I see chinese communist start talking cringe shit on Cooper wearing Power Armor. They talk so cartoonish and cliche
All fairness it was a lucky shot, took out the leg joint
I want to see inside Lucky 38
It was malfunctioning.
The type of trope that got u kill easily
And they still couldn't even penetrate the PA
Why would the armor malfunctioning affect the ability of bullets to pierce and break the armor
Else Coop would be dead. He was stupid keeping the visor open
Not really?
Cooper couldnt fight back due to the malfunction the power armor affect
Cooper is still alive despite being shot
they had chimera tanks, so safe to say they also had artillery
ig, doesn’t hurt to try tho… unless you crash and die
Communist soldier were known for that, it's a psychological weapon "oh your leaders put you in a shitty suit"
It creates a weak spot they could shoot through. They specifically focus on his leg fizzling out
Irl your enemies just straight up shoot u t odeath
Chimera tanks were US mining machines
They had. I'm saying they must not have had enough to take everyone down
They got cocky, an immobilized power armor unit that couldn't hurt them, plus they have probably seen some of their comrades torn apart by said units, they were gloating, and it did get them killed, the deathclaw
They must've had rocket launchers and stuff too but the fact that the T51 deployment is what turned the war around. I think they simply didn't have enough
I never pay attention but|| Elder Maxson|| is alive?!?!
incorrect
Season 2 starting scenes be like
EPISODE 1:
House showcases the moral concept of the shades of grey
EPISODE 2:
Hank is an actual war criminal for singlehandedly causing a genocide and if you don't believe that here's proof
EPISODE 3:
Thaddeus really has a natural skill for managing because child labor has never been this wholesome :]
EPISODE 4:
Alaska was frozen shitshow of a Vietnam. That fact is also worsened by the first fieldings of T45 PA lol
Why won't Maxson be alive. He should be fine
I like them showing a deathclaw used against the Chinese because it gives more credence to what Tim Cain said started the war, he said China nuked America because they were using biological weapons/fev experiments against them
I do like the deathclaws being given lore. They had no lore before
I thought Deathclaw first appear after the pre war, never expected them already exists before the nuke
You can tell cooper was getting PTSD flashbacks when he heard the deathclaw in the strip
And they said lion is already extinct but not deathclaw
Either fo3 or fo4 calls deathclaws prewar experiments used for search and destroy missions
They did exist pre war but that's all we know. They were apparently made from a chameleon
Also btw idk if this was a Spanish dub thing but why did the Yosemite elder refer to a "Mojave" chapter when the subtitles wrote it as "Quintus' chapter"?
And even that's speculation from a wastelander. Beyond that they had zero lore
I wish they bring up more Deathclaw that could talk like FO2
hes only like in his 20s in fallout 4 so its not that surprising
Not 20s. Just 20
but the namedrop is cool
Whats the time stamp I'll check
bruh hes look like 30s or 40s
In fallout 1
There wasnt
In fallout 2
There were some lore
ANd I already knew he 20s but still
I forget
But it is when her and Coronado mistake Thaddeus for Xander and try to negociate with him
That's because of the beard. Remove it and he looks young
being the elder of a bos chapter ages you
Given the current year, how old is he know I wonder
His beard and the way he speaks make it sound like that
Every man knows the beard makes you age 20 year ahead
29 or 30 years old i think?
This how he looks without the beard
Should've remove the beard
Looks like an emo theater kid
Yooooo he looks evil as hell
i hope they cast some1 who looks like cavill as arthur
He look like a jock from Bully
Beards really do age you like 30 years lol
Just get Henry cavill lol
Yes, Goris the Hoodie Death Claw from Fnv mod lol
Isnt that common knowledge?
Every man knows the beard does that you you
Kinda confused when the super mutant we hear talking in the trailer will show up because I figured it would have been before we see legion because the voice mentions a war is coming
Idk about you guys but I'm willing to believe that Squirrel Ranger is right about the NCR still around
I mean there's literally nothing else that might contradict it
Not even Rodriguez contradicts him there
Why'd you call him squirrel ranger lol
Plus supposedly weren't they regroupping somewhere else?
Isn't that why they gave Lucy guns?
He has a pet squirrel :3
Said they were leaving, didn't really specify to where I assumed they meant back to shady sands but maybe not
Oh wait ya the thing in the cage
Cherkov's Gun if I have ever seen one
Yep!
chekhovs squirrel
Gold
the deathclaw on the strip made me feel like he was gonna talk every time he growled
the deathclaw looked kinda stubby
also i kinda wish theyd used the fo3 deathclaw models they look creepier in a way
Mark my word, Mysterious Stranger will appear in TV
We were arguing about whether it was an Alpha or a Matriarch last night, colors are wrong for Matriarch but it does have the gold horn markings
[CAUTION]
also, Steph is Canadian
no wonder she's insane
Yeah, the new age Deathclaw looks more dinosaur and less terrifying experiment
i wonder if Steph harbors any resentment against the US itself?
I wonder if Steph is a deep cover Russian spy
Where's the rake when you need it /s
Imagine the Gamorrah didnt get eaten alive and Deathclaw are actually very gentlemen with their servies
That shithole deserved to get turned into a Deathclaw nest
Considering the lack of more dead bodies i assume people simply evacuated
Well. Most people atleast
The Gamorahh always in service regardless what type u are

I be shocked if there is the suprising plot twist judging by the voice from the trailer assuming Super Mutants but actually another type of GOris
Maybe both the Legion and the NCR sent forces to try and take the Strip from Yes Man and the Securitrons
but, how did a deathclaw even get there? and how long have they been there that there are hatched eggs there?
the strip that is now a deathclaw nest? lol
Oh they multiply like crazy. Doesn't need to be long
It’s been 15 years since the show.
I wonder What happened to Yes Man or Mr House?
Quarry Junction became a nest in a short time too
We’re definitely gonna find out what happened to House.
Will so many conspiracy, I would't be suprised if Vault Tec is making deal with Communist
Yes Man? I’m more skeptical about that.
the deathclaws look cool but a bit weird tbh
the one in Alaska looked super badass tho
the one in the strip looked a bit weird
Counter argument
The VAST majority of people are in the back of gommorah for obvious reasons
Nah there were reports the chinese were building PA too. They just couldn't do it in time
Reports also showed that the chinese pa was not even close to even close to being good compare to american pa
I'm pretty sure the streets would atleast be filled with bones and stuff. Unless the deathclaws are very persistent about cleanliness
Well Im not talking about PA, maybe something else
I mean cant u imagine we have vault dweller who is secretly Canadian?
She’s a Russian pinko spy
And Vault Tec brainwash american into communist
Canada was under America tho
Nah I don’t actually think that. The annexed ID was just there to show she’s pre war
Is Unification Monument still standing? I think not 🙁
Irrelevant!
She is canadian and is a danger to the american way!
The vast majority of fallout players in a nutshell
In Mojave Outpost
"Canadians detected on American soil, Lethal force authorized"
Alaska war is crazy
I didn’t expect them to show live action of the Alaska war against the red
Meanwhile Elder Maxson:
True, good outfits too
yes prewar bioweapon
They are actually pre-war
Deathclaws was created in pre-war
I believe it was hinited in fallout 2 and confirmed in fallout 3 or 4
I dont remember where
I didn’t know that till now the hell
And there attracted to the ak gun fire?
maybe the deathclaw will talk like in fo2
Well deathclaws were clearly created to kill enemies so that was their intend i guess
Damn bruh
This is why I had a deathclaw follower in fo4 with a mod
Should of been just part of the game
Pre-War America was off their rocker by a country mile, I stg.
Trust me
Pre-war America sounded like a mad scientist when you do your research
I had a glowing deathclaw as a follower in fo4 thanks to a mod
super mutants
Deathclaws
even Molerats i belive
Its no wonder the US got nuked honestly
But they should of just made it part of the game I swear
Yup, intended as as shock troopers
Damn
When you think about it the US was on TOP of their warfighting lol, deathclaws, power armor, plasma/laser weapons, stealth boys, mini nukes, like damn lmao
i guess china got tired of their shit tbh
It must’ve fucking sucked to be a chinese soldier in anchorage
No wonder the Chinese launched; it was either a slow agonizing death at the hands of America after surrender, or a quick demise but you at least get to take the Americans with you.
Yeah, the US pretty much had control of a portion of China before the bombs too, after the Gobi desert campaign they were rapidly moving in, so China resorted to the last option apparently
They used NV model mixed with fo4
Bro why did dane have to stay back while maximus and thaddeus went off 🤣
honestly when you look at what the US had compared to China its no wonder that the only option China had left was to nuke them all
give the US enough time im pretty sure they would find a way to weaponize Cthulhu lol
Cus max and thad are bros
The deathclaw that comes out of the Gomorrah I'm pretty sure is an alpha deathclaw or a matriarch because it's horns point upwards and outwards
but dane was the real bro from the beginning 😂
Also it's black like they are
yeah even if vaulttec says they wanna drop the bombs im convinced china got to it first
Better death at the hands of American nukes than to become experimental test subjects for Big Mountain or any number of pre-War companies.
Or to have your brain ripped out and put into robobrains.
Dane was honestly a likeable character
Also love how dane was the first to notice something wrong with Xander
Saw straight through it while even the elders were fucking blind to it
That's because he was the Commonwealth emissary they probably didn't wanna offend him
Fair enough
Also love how Thad was just looking at the entire thing with elders and was like
Nope i am out of here once the shooting happening
the commonwealth could kick their ass
its best not to offend the emmisary no matter how stupid they are
I like how Maximus finally said what's up this episode instead of his usual beating around the bush or not fully explaining himself
Atleast we had the answer to what happening with the prydwen falling
All 4 chapters are casually blowing each other ships up
Lmao poor thaddeus having a panic attack
He was so RIGHT
He is just THROWN into situation like this
im pretty sure the prydwen left already
3 airships are from other chapters and the last airship is from Quintus his chapter and its called Caswennan or whatever
In a slow motion kind of way yeah. Not like they can do a USA and extract Quintius and Maximus to stand trial in boston
The prydwen is not there
I am just too lazy to call it airship and called it all prydwen XD
I'm kinda sad Steph is being hinted as super evil, I was hoping she'd be the one to break away from vault tec and do what's right for people
he so handsoomeee
Now she's just running her own vault experiment
im almost certain if Maxson showed up the other 3 chapters would fold like paper and kneel before him
no one likes quintus
Also it looks like Caesar dying was more of a non-literal nuke equivalent to the Legion it seems
To be fair
She is
Clearly someone didn't clear out Quarry Junction and Dead Wind Cavern.
She just choose the worst option
I misinterpreted "Slay the Deathclaws"
Fuck i meant to ping him
What i was SAYING
To be fair
She is
Ignore this
The deathclaw isnt pretty
Xander said it best
Its an abomanation
Also maaaan MCARRANs GONe
I thought betty was gonna be the more evil overseer
aw maaaan
Even in NV many NPCs say when Caesar dies the legion will go on regardless
I mean it divided it in two
Feel like the show has the area too barren, there should've been a settlement by now, especially outside of NV seeing how inside is irradiated
I mean I guess the legion camp is a settlement
I mean Freeside IS a settlement
Yes but we haven't seen it yet
i hope the yosemite chapter survives
their elder seemed like a reasonable, cool headed gal
I hope she dies tbh she's lame
ngl i kinda wanted to see the 188
The guy she stabbed was way funnier
I thought they shot her
Idk
Yeah but she aint dead
I need the Grand Canyon elder to survive
That the cowboy
the one in the strip has the longer arms the fonv ones have, the one in alaska looks like the 4 design
it was a shoulder shot
I can understand this, but she’s just doing such a great job leaning into it and playing it at her somehow being good would actually be worse lol
I NEED MORE NCR
At this point, it'd be kinder to just pull the plug on the West Coast BoS.
What happened to the BoS bunker tho, whys it not brought up
Lucy being a drug addict has been exceptionally funny so far and I’m just happy they’re leaning into the goofy shit you can do in the games as well because without that it wouldn’t be fun.
Probably same reason that the Boomers at nellis air force base which is apart of the same complex as area 51 isn't in the show either
final episode you see a huge NCR army march towards the Mojave and the third battle for New Vegas shall begin
Tf they fighting for nv now
I do hope they stay in the Mojave til S3
Place is a ruined shit hole
She killed Brian Thompson! Seriously didn’t even realize him till I saw the credit and excellent job by him and really cool casting choice
Who
because hoover dam still exists for water and power
unless they blew it up
Was that THE king?
probably
the king plays guitar? never knew that
You may remember him as the alien bounty hunter in the X-Files but also the movie cobra and lots of other stuff playing head of the Coronado chapter? The guy who hates women
Hoover dam is far from NV tho so that wouldn't make sense for them to go to NV and then have to go back in the opposite direction to take the dam
Man, the Kings did not deserve that fate. Not really sure what to feel about it.
Lucy kills innocent king ghoul trying to run away 💔
Probably wasn't even feral
Amazon is not paying those licensing fees
I want the Deathclaw to sit on me
depends on what path they take
but i said battle of new vegas because im 99% sure theres no one on the dam anymore lol
Yea I know but Vegas being in complete ruin removes any value from it
oh god, here we go
just imagine what codsworth thinks when the nice family guy massacres entire ghoul families
Man, the kings
Not if you can thing of the tech stuff that’s probably in the Lucky 38 basement
I like how the ghoul looked at Lucy like "what the fuck" when she says she's okay with headshots because they're just ghouls lmao
Lucy gonna join the bos /s
another vault dweller saving the east coast BOS? lmao
If anything the bos would destroy it because it's probably just House's mind chips
ALTHOUGH
Crazy foreshadowing 👀
"Okie-dokie" shoots a ghoul child in the face

It's entirely possible they are drawing from Van Buren for inspiration too and are going to turn Quintus into the Van Buren version of father Elijah, he locks BOS members out of their power armor to force them not to rely wholly on technology among other things
And brain chips
@eternal moth psst, no memes allowed on this server, make sure to read up on rule 2 + 3
danks
Also in season 1 he looks at the bos and basically calls them pathetic so I can see him doing this
Some people are actually mad about the Strip being very much worse for wear when like
- The Strip we saw was a very recent development, literally just under a decade
- I don't think there's many concrete endings actually pointing towards a well established Strip remaining for long
- Freeside makes more sense as the thriving part of town as it didn't depend on tourism and/or foreign money as much as the Strip itself
Roger Maxson'd be rolling in his grave even harder than he already is.
tbh, if freeside exists and vegas doesnt that .. is sort of odd since they are pretty connected.
So if the strip is in such ruin, wonder if House really is dead and the scene with the ghoul turning and seeing house is actually a flashback from when he was last in Vegas prior to it all going to shit
the ghoul also mentioned radiation, so its possible that the area is irradiated
im more curious on how the strip fell
In theory yeah but in practice look how it is in-game
That's city wide segregation lol
the strip looks kinda goofy now icl
It is irradiated, Lucy's Geiger counter goes off when she gets close to the dead plants
cus HOW tf does a Deathclaw even reach the strip, my theory, the plat chip has a huge glitch in it
