Considering bethesda likes to borrow from other games and both TES and Fallout are worked on by Todd, I wont be surprised if it turns out Enclave had a way bigger impact on the events of the series.

76 Kind of foreshadows it with the infrastructure they have and a brainwashed superintelligence convinced that enclave abandoned it completely.
And if you really think about it, that only happened 25 years after the bombs fell and enclave still showed up all those years later in other games.
They had things ranging from emergency transmission channels, to global broadcast channels, automated security using robots, and nuclear silos all over Appalachia so we can only imagine how much more of their tech is still out there.

If SS dies in the vault or on his way to discover the institute, BoS would be fine off without him, and whilist they likely wouldnt track the institute, the institute itself would die out from power issues

There is nothing immoral about enslaving synths if they are not sentient (non sentient beings are incapable of freedom). If they admit they are sentient beings and continue to use them as slaves, then they are evil.
