There was like 5 whole ass cliffhangers (where is Norm and Claudia going, is part 2 of the experiment launched, the Ghoul is now heading to Colorado, the NCR will now fight against the legion marching towards Vegas, what is the next part of the Enclave scheme, etc.) that all relate to the same plot, the Enclave. And don't get me wrong, yes I think the NCR and the deathclaw fight was pretty fun to watch, but it was nowhere near the fight in the season 1 finale. Also, the suit design was cheap, looked like some cosplayers at a Comic Con wearing homemade NCR Rangers armor (which were somehow way too orange), and the CGI was pretty low in term of quality compared to the other episodes of this amazing show. I don't hate the episode, it's just far from a good enough ending for a tv show season in my opinion. I know there is another season coming, but still, it could have been a better season conclusion
