so there is this part where when you create an instance it shows

If you have multiple instance layers, it's possible you put it on a different layer than you currently have selected, so it doesn't show up

@signal arrow that's part of the Inspector tab in the room editor
Windows -> Inspector will bring it back if it's closed
you can also double click your room asset in the asset view on the right to focus on the room, if you're already focusing the inspector on something else
