Well, I'm guessing it's a gamepad issue
When it comes to consoles
Don't really think about the console part
You said "port a project to the PS3"

PS3 controllers don't even work without third party drivers (I believe maybe Steam Input can make it work)
Much stranger that no other gamepad would work though
I always default it to whatever device is plugged, honestly. But that's not the issue
How do you determine what's the default?
I'm gonna let a long paragraph about it, and hope for the best
Basically
When you are, for example, doing gamepad_button_check_press(0, ...), that 0 determines that is whatever device is plugged in, while it accepts it
It's working for any other part of the project except that one. I'm not working on Windows currently
