Hello, when I try to create the executable then I get this error:

Error : Could not find matching certificate for Developer ID Application:, please check your 'Signing Identifier' in your macOS Options```

I have done some research, but there is really almost no information of how to figure this problem out, so if anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know!!

Also putting this here just in case

I am confused, do I need the signer id, or not?

Also check that Build for Mac App Store is not selected. I think it's in the Packaging options.

Note that each time you restart GMS 2, you will need to go and delete that text again as it comes back by default.```
#

apparently not.

sudden owl
#

when I just completely delete the signer id then I get this

FAILED: Package Program Complete
For the details of why this build failed, please review the whole log above and also see your Compile Errors window.```

did you also make sure "Build for Mac App Store" is not selected in the Packaging Options?

sudden owl
#

what do you mean the packaging options

#

where can I see that?

daring prawn
#

it might be in File > Preferences > Platform Settings > macOS

sudden owl
#

is this in gms2?

daring prawn
#

just kidding, it's in the Game Options window:

#

yes it should be in GMS2 and newer

sudden owl
#

this is what I have

daring prawn
#

okay, so check the output log because there might be different errors now

sudden owl
#

I tried but it is super confusing

zinc pivot
#

Do you have xcode installed?

sudden owl
#

yes

zinc pivot
#

Did you setup a team ID?

#

(Also Apple Developer License is paid yearly)

sudden owl
#

do I need that to get an apple executable

#

even though I dont want it on app store

#

(the game)

zinc pivot
#

Technically no, however there's one too many issues that crop up

sudden owl
#

where can I pay for that?

zinc pivot
#

You need to create an apple developer account first

sudden owl
#

I think I have done that

#

not quite sure

#

yeah, thanks

#

when I have bought that, what do I then do?

#

do I then get my apple dev id, and can I then just paste it into gms2?

#

please be that simple 🙏
