#German captured tanks

Part of new Total war expansion i am making, are german captured tanks.
Destroying:
🇨🇿 LT Vz. 35 develops PANZER 35(t)
🇨🇿 LT Vz. 38 develops PANZER 38(t)
🇨🇿 ST Vz. 39 develops 43M TURÁN III

🇫🇷 HOTCHKISS H35 develops H35 734(f) or H39 sWG or 10.5 cm leFH H38(f)
🇫🇷 SOMUA S35 develops S35 739(f)

🇺🇸 Any M4 SHERMAN develops M4 748(a)

🇬🇧 CRUISER Mk III develops PANZER Mk IV 744(e)

🇷🇺 Any T-34 + T-34 PL develops T-34/76 747(r)
🇷🇺 KV-1 1939, KV-1 1941 develops KV-1 756(r)

Relief to deploy relief units, target unit of same type. Unit from hand will replace position of previous unit on board which will be sent back to hand.
Fortify fortified units takes 1 less damage for each fortify unit.

Does the turan exist just to dilute the pool

Cause it’s a strictly worse S35 by a huge margin

#

The s35 for a 1 op 3/4 heavy armor tank (same stats as the somua pre op nerf) is really good

#

And it has shock upside

#

It’d probably be a special rating tank if it wasn’t generated from a card of such questionable quality

Cause it’s just a value generating more situational version of AirPower

#

It costs 1 more, can’t target every tank, and also does nothing if the opponent doesn’t play tanks

#

And the only saving grace for the h35 is that it can swap positions with something in the frontline which means it’s not as significant of a tempo hit to bounce your own unit, but it comes with the downside of being unplayable if you don’t have a tank on board, seems bad too.

The kv and t34 are pretty decent

The lef is pretty good too honestly

But the other 4 seem quite bad. And two of the good ones are expensive while the others that are good probably fall off a little bit since it’ll always be after turn 4 anyways

You can literally develop only as many tanks as their rarity

#

Somua is already special so enemy can have only two which means you can develop captured tank from two only too

I mean its fine to have good tanks

cause the captured somua is probably by far the best tank of the set

Im not saying its op per say because its rng value generation based off a somewhat situational card

I was mostly thinking that the cards in the pool should be mostly fine or good rather than some strong some weak

#

So that its more of a matter of picking the best option generated given the current situation rather then just some cards being better pulls objectively off the generation

And I think it would be overall a buff to the original card if it did something like

3k destroy a tank that costs 4 or less

then generate the value

Because it'd fit the card curve better, and be more relevant in matches where the enemy has tanks because spending 4 is kinda a lot and its also competing with units like the pak which can definitely be better into those aggro matches

and that way if you generate a cheaper cost tank its more likely to be picked because later in the game you're probably mostly wanting to generate the french tank or the kv, and would be ok with the t34 if you're playing a tank deck

It could also be a slight buff to some tanks if they had exile, but I'm not sure if it fits the established cards theme to qualify as exile units

I dont think the turan would be a broken card if it cost 1 less for every turn in hand for example

Maybe you would increase its cost by 1 to balance it so first turn in hand it costs 4 at the end of turn

Or the german m4 could play into the infantry support themes of other shermans and get -1 op cost if you have infantry in the frontline on deployment or something

and a 4/4 1 op cost tank is just good

I guess the cruiser can be kinda nutty sometimes, also I kinda missed the part where you're generating specific tanks based off the nations you're playing against

I think it could be kinda hard to implement the capturing of specific tanks as a feature
But its a cool concept nontheless
