#Increase number of decks that can be stored in game.

Request to increase the total number of decks that can be stored in game. The current number is 30 but that feels awfully restrictive when it comes to experimenting with new decks, trying new combinations, importing decks from others to learn from, and increasing variety in to the game.

At the moment I manage more than the 30 decks by way of a lot of annoying copying between a spreadsheet but this is getting a bit old tbh especially when the 30 limit is reached, and is not possible to work with when playing on mobile.

Some suggestions:

  1. Remove deck limit
  2. Increase deck limit significantly, to say 500
  3. Increase deck limit to 100
  4. Increase deck limit to 10 decks per nation (50), plus a reserve pool of 100 (or 50) decks*.
  5. Increase total deck limit to 50 (as at least some improvement)

*the reserve pool could be another sub tab in the cards tab that just has a list of decks ~"archived" that you can copy in to your main deck viewing area once that space is reduced below the maximum allowed decks.

Of course I could be mistaken but the deck import codes seem to be about 50 characters each? I am certainly no information systems expert but surely that is not a heavy data burden as a proportion of the game, or am I mistaken?

Anyway, hopefully some solutions can be found here.

Cheers. Good luck.

Agreed. At least give players the option to unlock deck slots by nation progress. Or if 1939 games wants to earn some income, by gold or diamonds. I feel like I don't have enough deck slots. Or a space to retire our deck lists to later retrieve them.

I'd like more deck slots as well and the unlockable extra slot idea do sound nice.
btw deck codes r between 28 and 86 characters. (But I do suspect that it stores the HQ with it ig etc so there might be a couple extra there applied cosmetics wise. Still it should be pretty light on data.)

Thanks for the extra discussion folks.

Hopefully some improvement is made here.

Also, is there a specific reason that the limit is set at 30?

Ok ok, I'm mostly* having a laugh here (and seriously procrastinating from what I should be doing) ... but here is an extremely rough estimate of potential deck code storage size increase that could result from increasing the current deck limit from 30 decks to 100 decks.

My estimate is thoroughly based on having absolutely no knowledge or experience of what is actually involved in this and likely straying quite some distance off the beaten track but the results are as follows:

Increasing the deck limit from an estimated 100,000 players with 30 decks each to an estimated 1,000,000 players with 100 decks each would be from approximately 10 (ten) mega bytes to 300 (three hundred) mega bytes (or about the storage capacity of my phone with an SD card).

Just for reference, this is what is displayed when reaching the deck count limit:

what about increase deck limit to 31?

That's only adding one more deck slot

#

Because max deck slots atm is 30

ok ok sorry ... yes good point, only too small a change ... how much do you reakon we should go up to?

I say 60 and than you lock more like 10 more at 50 and 250 and 350 so it's like you get the cards back with 10 more deck slots?

#

That's be 75 if you have them max out

#

And if you have them done before it was updated you get all 3 if you say max out Germany but if you have all max than you get all 15 or something

I actually think 200 would be the sweet spot ... allowing you to store 5 archetype combinations per nation at any one time. But even increasing to 1, 2, 3 or 4 at any 1 time would help...
