oh and there could be research cards that bring more advanced fortifications instead of just nuking stuff or killing the entire board, something more passive but still a gamechanger nonetheless for to really outlast the opponent. As well as fighter planes unique to switzerland, smaller but more efficient, like a 2/2 with blitz

And not nations that will be a part are Denmark, China and maybe others

As a swiss person, I like this idea.
Though with any new ally nation, the priority should always be on the cards being fun and cool and having a nice theme to them, rather than historical accuracy. It being Switzerland would just be a bonus
