Ambush is once per turn.
The general solution to dealing with big units is to either run removal cards that can kill them, or to play a deck that can win before the opponent can play them.

#

This card is not particularly good at high level, although it has seen a little play.

Note that cards that kill 88 mm Flak are generally cheaper than the unit is, such as The Hammer and Tactical Strike.

#

Run cards like that

#

if you spend 3k killing a 6k unit you're winning

lemme paint a picture here, the enemy has a flak 88 and another supporting card that does... lets say 3+ damage, you move into frontline with smth, and ur turn ends, the supporting card attacks you and damages your card, unless you have a tank with beefy health, and the 88 follows up the shot with 6 damage, destroying your card, if the 88 instead attacks something else, you still don't have enough health to destroy the 88, you have to either get a destroy card that has a random chance to destroy the 88, or you have to have a completely incompetent player who doesnt know how to use the card well.

The 88 is reasonable. Ambush is quite powerful, but it is still vulnerable to orders

i feel likw with the type of decks i play i rarely run into issues with these heavy no blitz units lol

#

i wonder why

wet notch
#

Bc it comes down late, does nothing when it does and it's not a wincon nor a guard.

only real issue is stuff like panther g

Basically, u need the luxury of time to spend 6k on something that doesn't help u immediately. Nor to pressure, nor to survive just to have something easily removable on board which if survives can trade 2 unit types well.

When I started playing 88 was pretty strong between ranks 20-15. But if you keep improving your deck and understanding of the game you'll be fine.

Was confused for a sec, thought he meant ju

That’s a new one, I’ve never seen someone complain about 88 flak, if anything I think it would be cool if it were buffed to deal retaliation dmg vs bombers, although would prolly still be a garbage card

orchid quest
# gentle rampart See I place those and they get immediately destroyed by the 88, like you don't u...

Bro I mean this in the nicest way but a competent player would not be playing this card in the first place. If you’re playing a aggro deck you would ignore this card and kill your opponent if they play this. If you’re playing a midrange deck you have to have fallen abysmally behind for this card to be a problem. Control decks have removal to deal with this and tbh prolly enough board presence to contest it without removal just because of how low impact this card is

Is bro high? (No offense)

The artillery isn't even a problem

I recommend checking out the main kards community contributors on twitch and yt or the monthly OCCs, they’ll tell you a lot about how to play and what decks are good

But only if you have multiple units on board

Flak only deals double to air and tanks btw, not inf

#

so any inf with higher than 3 health can attack into it without any issues

#

and that's a lot of infantry

elder plinth
#

Flak is just a removal check

#

People dont run it in higher ranks beacuse you can destroy it instantly with pretty much no effort

#

And also pak 40 is just better

#

If your opponent pays 6k for a flak and you destroy it with honorable death

#

Thats a huge tempo loss for them

#

Soviets have hammer, US has firebomb, japan has honorable and commit the reserves, brits have like infinite pin and they usually just bomb the shit out of flak and germany has tact strike

The Flak 88 isn’t that good to have a nerf, it actually isn’t that good

karmic cloud
#

why would you slam 8 unit on it ?

vestal grail
#

Bro has never heard of removal or pin before

polar osprey
#

I think the mistake was to trade 8 units over multiple turns, instead of at once. Ambush only works once per turn

dark kindle
#

Yeah, that’s sorta strange

#

This mostly seems like a skill issue
