They should just bring back the old expansion packs format. Sometimes I just want some specific cards from certain exp and I'll just have to gamble for hundreds of other spacials/elites to get my MI-5

I agree that it is unintuative, but wouldn't a better solution be for returning reserved cards to show up when you search for expansion cards. With duplicate protection it doesn't really matter too much where certain cards are included as long as it's clear which cards are where so you know which packs to buy

i totally agree, and theres not much to say. maybe a good thing would be to have rather than the update pack a "choose-your-expansion-pack" set where you pick the expansion (Base Game, Brothers In Arms, ecc ecc) with a simple additional tax of 10 coins

It IS dishonest. The kards coming back from the reserve pool are NOT part of the expansion so they should not be in the packs.

I don't agree with describing this as "dishonest". 1939 is not trying to purposely deceive in order to get more value out of pack sales. It may be unclear, but it is actually better that returning cards are in expansion packs. You don't have to worry about getting reserved cards you already had because of dupe protection. If you did not already have the returning cards, you should be just as glad to receive them since they have a higher chance of synergizing with the other cards in the expansion packs than the core packs.

Getting a returning card and not getting the same sparkly sentiment that a truly new card would give is a personal bias that is not reflective of the value of that card

It IS dishonest because it is not clearly stated, It says in the shop that the packs contain 5 and 7 kards from the Winter War expansion nd sometimes they do not. To be honest it needs changing to say "from the Winter War expansion and the Reserve Pool." It would probaly take 5 minutes to do this though so it's never going to happen because 1939 are such a small company that have only managed to raise $9 million in funding - sarcasm intended 😀

It is probably not worthwhile to debate the semantic meaning of dishonest, especially since we can only speculate on 1939's intentions. We could probably also debate whether or not reserved cards count as being from the expansion. Regardless of where they should be, there needs to be better in game identification of un-reserved cards. Even if 1939 added an addendum to the pack description as you suggest, there is no way in game right now to tell what cards that would refer to. Will they ever fix this🤷‍♂️? They seem to prioritize long term planning over communication and fixing little details.
