This is not a post about having more, or what's in them, but purely the timing.
Competitively speaking, the timing of balance patches have always been a challenge, but this one in particular is terrible. As many of u know, there r the monthly OCC competitions (arguably the main official series). This month the qualifiers r on the 20th while the balance patch will release on the 18th. So 1, we will have an incredibly short window to not only change our (probably already planned) lineups but to actually test and practice the new stuff. 2, Test where? Generally speaking, when u want to get a bunch of matches in (against somewhat considerable play) to see how to do stuff, how they preform etc, ladder is the go to place. But mid-month is a bit late to try and learn new tricks as elo kinda matters at that point for the next qualification window. So this month, 32 of the competing players r forced into a decision. R we gonna try to prepare still, if it means risking next month?
And this (unlike other problems brought up with the treatment of the competitive scene) has an easy solution, that doesn't even cost anything as far as I can see. When a balance patch is ready to be released, just release it the next first of month. With that, the playing field wouldn't change in the middle of a season and players could use the early, low pressure times to properly prepare for competitions without risking the next.
The competitive benefits of this r obvious (and we can say nice things about what could trickle down from there). But other then that, I think the general playerbase would appreciate this added regularity.

I don't have a dog in this fight but this makes total sense to me
I'd usually agree but I'm personally very happy in this case because the meta at this point is too warped
Playing qualifiers (which is without bans) with ger sov jet being intact is imo worse than this
Cards found: 1
?
I agree as always, but not this time, this meta is fully shit than since starting from first rotation
And I also think the best time to release every patch is first day in month. Many card games do like that always(New ban or limit card list or change some cards effect in some months, such as Jan,April,July and Oct. if that game have 4 new card list in a year) and Kards always do not have stable or regular time to release new patch, I hope the dev. can learn it as already not a new card game.
The reason of course for tournaments and ladder in Kards, in season end to change the patch always make those climbing people are suffering and the time I suggest is also make people have expected it's coming and prepare at list in their mind.
Actually, there is NO point of this suggestion just because it only concerns to 38 players in the world and other millions WANTS to these balance changes earlier than 1 February
Actually, there is NO point of this reply as it is only one person who typed it.
What kind of logic is that, champ?
More than 38 players try to compete for those slots yknow
