Sad thing is that this wouldn’t even be good against the current meta Brit air because it would just get picked off by air superiority or surprise attack
So true. Give it pin immunity and bump the HP to 10 (so it can survives 2 Empire Strikes)

Imo the smokescreen makes it a bit too hard to counter
Although it is a special and those are usually a bit op
I’d say either lower the health by 1 or maybe increase the cost a bit and it’s probably a tad more balanced
but look at this bad boy. I think ostwind's effect is equal to this Panzer's effect+it's blitz ability. What i mean is by value, it is balanced. OP? perhaps.

theres other powerful units that can be taken out as easily
the type 96 artillery is also a unit designed to screw over air units
it only costs 3 but its also an elite
i think its fair to be more susceptible to orders if its so oppressive to air units
if it was an elite or cost a bit more i think 3-3 would be justified though
@copper brook do you think.....that ostwind's ability has higher value than panzer iii-e's ability + it's blitz + it's higher defense and higher attack? 4 defense is pretty significant and the ability is very good especially paired with it's smokescreen
@copper brook do you think that it doesn't matter as much that ostwind is balanced based on "value" because its so strong against very prevalent decks in the meta?
Ignoring one's opinion of balancee, the card by itself has a very clever ability and nice design. Its very well thought out and fits other cards like it that are already in the game. It's unique and cool.
It’s a little hard to compare them imo
I think the biggest difference is that panzer’s strength comes from your own ability to build a deck around it, whereas ostwind’s strength is entirely reliant on the enemies actions
They’re probably about equally strong objectively but panzer is much more fun to fight because it is earned power from a smart build on your part, but ostwind is just a chance that half your units can’t play the game
i want to add a tangent - i think the ostwind's strong ability is weaker then because it relies on chance of facing an enemy with an air deck - whereas the panzer's strength is exploitable cuz you have the choice
If someone gets an advantage because they cleverly designed a good combo I’m less upset than being completely shut down because I happened to have the wrong deck
Yea it’s hard to quantify when one is very reliably strong and the other is very chance based

i dont think he has to change his card tho to fit the current meta and the potential frustration it could cause - additionally a lot of important, fun, critical, or smart cards and mechanics are frustrating to face against. frustration alone shouldn't stop something from being implemented
