#Kards for MAC??

Mac, it's quite difficult for devs to get through mac, since there are quite certain restrictions unique to apple and also, if I remember correctly, they charge quite much in terms of bringing the game in.
On the other hand, they are bringing Kards mobile on both iphone & android in the coming future, so there's that.
Iirc they promised Mac compatibility a while back so it is definitely on the radar and it's been brought up many times in the past. Probably one of the highest requested platforms imo, right behind mobile
for now probably the best thing you can do is run a VM
or alternatively if you need macOS for some software make a hackintosh (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackintosh)
I used to play Kards on Mac by using Parallel but after the game updated to UE5 it doesn't run properly any more, sadly.
I've played before on a MacBook Pro using BootCamp. Doesn't work on M1 chip of course. Would love to see proper support for Mac, it has also been announced before
I also would love to see a MacOS version but my hopes are low as the devs always have something more important to do since it was first announced. It has been pushed back since I started playing in 2020.
what's an M1 chip 👀?
also can't you just play to kards by emulating a wii
ho wait nvm it's not linux

New architecture made by ARM for Macs from 2020 and later, previously they used Intel 64-bit x86-64. Applications that work on one architecture do not necessarily work on others.
Backwards compatibility, which is great for gaming, is not much of a concern for Apple.
I'd love a macOS version. Devs, if you're reading - look into Catalyst. It's an apple-designed method for bringing iPadOS apps to macOS. If you're building for iOS, it's pretty similar to developing for iPadOS and I'd guess you've been considering this.
But Kards port to Wii when?
Insight from dev here : It is possible, but currently I believe there is a worry that the risk/reward ratio is not very high. The risk = additional build and deployment pipeline establishment and maintenance. The reward = the relatively low amount of Mac players.
Wii coming soon!
The initial deployment to Mac in itself is not a huge outlay, but the commitment to maintain and support the platform and any issues on it is big.
Sorry for replying in this suggestion thread but my question is fitting to the topic of playing Kards on Mac
I used to play Kards inside of a windows 11 arm virtual machine using parallels on a m1 mac.
But since the Patch to UE5 there is a problem. I can still launch the game but the rendering pipeline is broken. I was wondering if there is any low effort possibility of fixing kards on windows 11 arm so mac people at least have a chance to play and spend some $$$ on kards?
this is art!
it's up to unreal to fix their renderers in these cases I'm afraid : we don't have resources available to address it. Squeaky wheels sometimes do get grease, consider posting in the unreal forums with a brief summary of the problem. Would be great if the problem is reproducible on other unreal 5 games on parallels, make it clear that it is the engine at fault
I am only aware of 2 commercial Unreal Engine 5 games right now, Kards and Fortnite. Fortnite doesn't work at all because of anti-cheat that doesn't work in virtual machines, so I don't think there are any other games than Kards having this problem right now.
There will be more in the future though.
