#Creaky voice when singing lower

Okki sounds good! Thank you 🙂
Is this your real voice or are you squeezing your throat or do you sing with high lynarx? I mean it needs some serious work. It cannot be your natural voice. You are guy right? It sounds like you are singing in falsetto.
Hii. I am mtf so I’m basically working on voice feminisation. Which is why it is all over the place (basically I learned to talk in a higher pitch which makes it harder for me to go back to the lower range where I originally was. So I am struggling a bit with finding where my natural range is currently. This is certainly way higher than what is natural though)
Oh okay, basically you are using falsetto in singing terms, high lynarx
I dont have any idea on how to sing as female tbh but as for why creaky voice when singing lower, it is because you are singing in falsetto and yea you can go lower by using more air in falsetto just remember that using more air means low notes and high notes less air.
I mean if you sing in chest voice like the guy above said than you can go low but in falsetto there will be a limit how low you can go.
That's just vocal fry. It's normal. You can use it to slowly develop your low notes. But unless you're trying to expand your lower range or you found another purpose for it, it's best to avoid using it while singing.
Ahhh I see. My comfortable singing range is in between 150 and 250. So guess I need to try singing somewhere there more. I still have what I think is that creaky noise when I sing in a lower register though. But that might be that vocal fry so I’ll try to research that a bit more.
Generally those with lower voice types can obtain fry very easily. It's a natural part of our voices. It's not wrong to use, but unless that's what you want it to sound like; you're better off with trying to extend your lower range.
You have a pretty low voice for a female. It's impressive. You're an alto, yes?
Ahh thank you that clears a lot up. Does it get reduced by extending your lower range then?
Thank you, Yes I think I am alto. I just struggle quite a lot with hitting high notes.
Not quite, it's just shoved down further and further. It allows you to hit those low notes without making that creaky fry sound.
Fry is generally used to hit low notes quicker and easier than with chest voice. It's like the cheat register for low notes; the low version of whistle.
Ahh I see! Thanks for all the information!
