practice singing along to the song for pitch
or if that doesn't work, play the notes on a piano until you can repeat them
if you don't have a piano, I recommend downloading a piano app on your device
Could be more resonant and tone could be improved, but I enjoyed the listen ^^
@wispy vigil has leveled up! (0 ➜ 1)
The problem you’re facing here is that you’re singing these songs too low - if you sing them in their original keys (Bmin for Beggin and Ab/G#min for World Burn) you’ll have the capacity to change your resonance and to do more with your tone - use a backing track and sing with one while you record! I’d love to hear your voice in the original keys of these songs - if you can’t go that high comfortably, you can always transpose them down or find a lower version, but definitely record next time over a track! Great job! :))
Ty. I do realize now I was also a probably a bit sick that day just not as bad as this week, (I was feeling off, not to bad, but this week I have the worst cold) but I do need to work a lot on tone and pitch for sure
No problem! And yeah, I understand the frustration of having a cold while recording, don’t worry about it though!
If you have any other questions just ask me :))
There are throat lozenges and tinctures you can take that are designed to help you sing when your throat is dry and itchy.
For sureeee
I saw Christina Aguilera use Ricola lozenges on a MasterClass episode, I’ve been using them since hahah
There’s also VocalZone menthol tablets you can keep on your tongue and it’ll just melt
Manukah honey is a little pricey but it has INSANE healing properties
Or alternatively, get a humidifier or put some boiled water into a bowl and steam your face with a towel covering your head for about 5-10 mins
(Have lots of tissues on the ready though haha)
