#Singing Deeper With A Naturally High Voice?

Hi,

I feel a bit alone as a guy with a naturally high / light voice , who wishes to sing in a medium to low range. I really want to sing in the baritone range, but I feel I'm probably limited by my low notes. I currently struggle with B2s and have an even more difficult time going below that.

I realize I'm a complete amateur and I've never used my voice for anything, so I imagine I can strengthen my voice considerably with what notes I can hit, but I can't help being concerned that my lower range will be somewhat limited by my physiology.

I come across so many deep voiced guys wanting to sing high, but have seen little to nothing regarding guys or even girls in my situation and it's honestly alienating and a bit depressing. 😢

Any advice or input for a high voiced guy hoping to expand and strengthen his low notes? Is it possible for a tenor to sing as a baritone?

(I'm aware many people consider vocal types meaningless and/or only applicable to classical music, but I can't help feel that they do apply to some degree when one takes into account the fact that people with naturally high voices often cannot physically sing or speak as deep as those with naturally deeper voices! So, I can't help feeling I am naturally a "tenor" due to the fact my voice struggles to go below B2 even when speaking . )

I' am a soprano that had similar problem when I started to learn to sing again this year. Because of under develop chest voice. I naturaly and often speak with head voice. So I pratice chest voice and natural it help me expand my singing range.
Now I can steal some alto notes but I wont be a Cher or Marina Diamond impersonator because it wont be able to be just as powefull and that's ok everyone is builded different and that what makes life more interresting.

But B2 is really good for a beginer tenor. From my notes ( of self study) to reach the bottom of baritone you only need to expand 2 more semitones.

So your range May not be your actual problem.

But how to creat more deep, darkness or vibration on your tone to feel more powerfull.

If you post some scales of your range or the song that you are trying to reach we May be able to help.

There are specific types of excercises just to pratice low notes and to expand range.

Check out new york vocal coach, aussie vocal coach, Victoria vitorious vocal tips, jeff rolka and other on youtube.

Range isnt everything, dont fall on this trap. Good projection and know to to contrast volume, rhytm, words and emotions are way more fundamental.

That are o lot of music generes that dont require more the 5 notes, but are still beatifull and emotional.
