Hey guys, I'm working on a vampirism skill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td6tceASPiQ
Currently it allows the player to conceal their vampiric nature, the length and strength of which is dependant on one's vampirism level. Guards, particularly Ordinators and Bouyant Armigers can see through the veil much easier and may expose the player.
I've also implemented a Blood metre to go alongside health magicka and stamina.
The skill and blood metre only appear once the player has contracted vampirism.

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas of further implementations for the mod? Was definitely considering:

  • Adding the ability to create minions/cattle.
  • Adding new vampiric powers/rituals
  • Adding the ability to make an interior cell your vampiric lair.
  • Adding the ability to create your own Vampiric Clan.
  • Adding dynamic Ordinator attacks.
  • Adding some sort of bat transformation (not really sure how to do this in OpenMW)

Just a quick showcase of my wip mod adding a vampirism skill to Morrowind. Currently the mod includes a Concealment feature which allows th eplayer to hide their vampirism in order to talk to NPCs. Please let me know of any features you think I should add.

I don't really have suggestions beyond what you've laid out. But this is absolutely fire. May make me consider a vampire playthrough one of these days

Thanks! I'm the same, I never play as a vampire in Morrowind because its borderline unplayable

Pretty sure it's one of those things they've never finished. I think there was a quest mod or two floating around, but this would bring it to a new level

Just let it be possible to only activate Vampirism skill in skill extender when your PC becomes a vampire! 🙏

Yep that's the way it is now, the skill only appears in your skill menu once you've become a vampire

I'm trying to think of features for creating a Vampiric clan, I'll definitely add the ability to make NPCs blood thralls, I've made a script for surrendering and subjugating NPCs too so I think overtaking and absorbing the vanilla vampiric clans into your own would be cool too.

I think I'm going to have generic vampires dynamically approach the player too and either offer their service or fight them depending on vampirism level.

I was actually looking into your meditation mod recently to get some ui ideas for my vampire mod which is sitting at a concept development stage while I was trying to learn animations for feeding anims 😅 I know you’ve asked for ideas but I also don’t want to intrude too much

haha no way, are you making a skill mod too or just an overall vampirism mod? I'm definitely gonna release a light version of this mod that just adds the skill, concealment and the ability to make your own clan to be compatible with other vampirism mods. Also I got a lot of the UI implementations from Ownlyme, he helped me remake my swimming mod and added crazy UI features so I'd definitely check out its code for inspiration

Working on the bloodline feature, basically when you make your own vampiric clan whatever your highest attribute is defines your bloodline. In this case my willpower is highest so myself and NPCs I make into vampires will have high willpower and magical resistances. I'm kinda imagining it in a way where the player could cultivate a Clan based on their playstyle

Working on the lair system atm. It's going to function as a little management system with different workstations you can assign minions to such as a gargoyle carver, enchanter etc. One I'm excited for is the Daedric Envoy, allowing you to commune with different minor daedric lords and strike deals/alliances. I'm also going to implement a main quest alternative backdoor for Vampires,

This looks amazing do you gonna add feeding mechanic like in skyrim or oblivion with animations? That would be great to sneak feeding or combat feeding or feeding unconscious enemies.

Not too sure, I'm pretty busy in college atm, I could definitely release a version containing some of the features, the skill, concealment, basic lairs and basic vampiric conversion very soon and just update it to the level I want as I go

Here's a showcase of the Vampiric lair system, currently adding a bunch of workstations you can assign your vampires to. The blood ALtar is the centre of the lair, and serves as a blood repository. Blood is the primary resource for improving the lair, indoctrinating more vampires, and improving your clan's reputation. A preview of the Vampiric Lair system. Upon becoming a vampire you can set a cleared out interior cell to be your new lair! Your lair has several different workstations that you can assign subjects to.

The blood altar will serve as the player's resource for improving their lair and creating new rituals/workstations.

Any non-civilized interior cell can become a potential lair once cleared of hostiles. Personally I find strongholds and ancestral tombs to be the coolest spots. If you indoctrinate vampires they'll walk around your lair, still fine tuning NPC recruitment however.

Lmk if anyone has any ideas for different workstations NPCs can be assigned to. Right now I have an enchanting, alchemy, teleport, armourer, gargoyle carver, imp maker, worshipper & envoy workstation. These are static objects you place in your lair and can assign an NPC to. They'll stand around their workstation with relevant idle animations and offer their services.

Also adding warrior roles for NPCs. You can order vampires to go out and hunt for chattel or scavenge for supplies. The more excursions you send out, the higher likliehood a bouyant armiger/ordinator raid might occur in your lair.

Hi theres this mod its for mwse. I have no idea how but he manage to make feeding animation and other cool features like visual sun damage or turning into mist and flying and blood serums and claw attack for vampires like khajit and argonians.But takes some inspiration from Game called Vampyr ( and its a great game btw) maybe you can look into it if it helps https://github.com/OperatorJack/Vampyr-Vampirism-Expanded
