Whatās up everyone! KingDelo here. Iām officially pulling back the curtain on my latest projectāa dark, atmospheric 2D Soulslike being built right here in GDevelop.
The Story
In a world shattered by loss, you play as The Remnantāa masked wanderer trapped in the "Grieving Gateway." Your heart has been fractured into five jagged shards, scattered across a continent that has physically transformed into the stages of grief.
To become whole again, you must hunt down the manifestations of your own pain. But be warned: in this world, memories are sharper than blades.
The World (Hollow Knight meets Dark Souls)

The Gameplay
Expect tight, punishing pixel-art combat. This isn't just a platformer; itās a dance of stamina management, precise parries, and brutal boss encounters. Every death leaves a Mask Shard behindālose it, and you lose your protection.

Iām looking for a decent pixel artist to help me develop new moves and upgrades to the main character. I have the weapon inventory all set just need good animations mechanics for character. ⢠The Pulse Meter (Stamina): Your stamina isn't just a bar; itās your Heartbeat. Aggressive attacking and dashing increases your heart rate. If your "Pulse" maxes out, you enter a Panic Stateāyou move faster, but you take double damage and canāt heal until it cools down.
⢠The Grief Parry: A high-risk, high-reward mechanic. Time your block perfectly against an enemyās strike to "Absorb" their sorrow. A successful parry refills a portion of your health and staggers the enemy for a brutal follow-up.
⢠Mask Shard Recovery: When you fall in battle, you leave behind a Cracked Fragment. Unlike other games where you just lose currency, losing your fragment in Heartbreak Quest lowers your total defense. You have one life to get it back, or the world gets significantly harder.

Iām using Ai mechanics to control the enemies so it would be very difficult game to win just in a couple of hours. This project I put already 60 hours in to developing characters and the first scene.
