Snoc the hedge
Also the name has me thinking a time travel thingy like Sonic CD could be added.. I'd say it'd just be having diff external layouts or something
That's the fun part: It's based off CD.
Man I'm boutta give the Test Zone a Bad Future
Actually what would you say is the progress so far?, like a really rough estimate
Movement - 100%
Gameplay Elements - 45/100%
Hazards - 0/100%
Customizability - 30/100%
Zones - 20/100%
Polish - 60/100%
Boss System - 0/100%

The amount of spritesheets I have send help
I forget the clipboard is a thing all the time
wait it's gonna be pc only?
Yes..
Tbh fair Kennoir I doubt GDev can run on console (as for now.. I'd imagine it's a pain tryna do that)
I'd say you could make two versions of your Sonic extension
One being the current one
And the other being a damn accurate one, yes simplicity is lost but it can be for those looking for the physics from the Classic era
How's yer day Terr?
Cool thing to add would be Super and Hyper forms, I'd say a "IsSuper" / "IsHyper" bollean variable for each character would probably work
Though I'd say add that some point after release, like a major update
that already exists
kinda
it's called Hedgehog Extension DX
and it's the version i have full development on
GDevelop's reviewed extension is on the most part coded by Davy (D8H)
this one is used on Sonic 1 on GDevelop
Ah ok
What's a funny bug that ya found while making the custom engine btw
Kinda wonder how you'd get stuff like the Ice Cap [S3] snowboarding done
that just requires an invisible wall and speed maintain
the invisible wall wouldn't be able to collide with the player if he's on a jump
while he's colliding with the wall, he goes down then inverts it's speed and does it again
damn, i just realized how sick this sequence is for a game of that time
Act 1 is mid in terms of level design
Musuc is good though
i mean its possible itd probably require
VERY intricate coding
oh yeah small progress is being done im focusing on other stuff atm
but hurt state is finished and stable with no bugs as far as im aware

bro ain't accepting my roblox/xbox friend request 😭 🤟
I don't accept random friend requests
I have to have been actively talking AND playing some games with you for me to begin considering you a friend, I do this to keep my actual friend list not too bloated with randoms

oh yeah @raw quiver if you could fix the problem with zipping through collisions at high speeds that would be very appreciated 🙏
Sonic told me this
"Man, collision is kinda borig, see you all in 10 minutes once this camera finally catches up"
oh you mean the one where sonic merges with the collision?
you know what they say
when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, they merge, just like super man and dceased flash
guys i'm fr this time, the extension is not a very good option for accurate sonic physics at the moment, there are other options like Hedgehog Extension DX, which is a little harder to use but it's less buggy and more advanced to a point, just like how minecraft java is to minecraft bedrock
it's more of the cheapest & easiest sonic physics replica
something like the xbox series s
if you want accurate sonic physics atm, use Hedgehog Extension DX (or that Encore framewok y'all be talking about, i'll take a try on it once i get my laptop)
this encore framework is pretty awesome
it would be kinda hard to modify for a GDevelop user, but the internal code is basically almost an exact translation of https://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_Physics_Guide
making it easy to understand for sonic fans that have already done or helped in other sonic projects
And where can we find this DX extension?...
I'd rather know where to look for it instead of going on a possible goose chase honestly
To be fair I wouldn't KNOW if those two used the DX or base version
I'll test it out later, playing SA2B rn
