Looking at the Steam patch notes, it appears it was fixed a day before Season 4 came to consoles, which is in line with them saying they weren't able to fix it in time for Season 4 on consoles.
It's not just the approvals, it's the fact that it was found and fixed on Steam with not enough time to make sure it was good to go on console versions. I'm sure, like usual, they'll get things all figured out with Steam and then roll it all into one nice, tidy patch before too long

Was the OEM AT&T fiber router. Been too lazy to get a 3rd party. But my new one came in today and it’s all much better. I also got a powerline kit coming so I can run Ethernet thru the electric wiring and get hardwired that way

I did do some port forwarding on the router as well, not sure it made a different but whatever. Open NAT in COD now. My main issue was I was on the 5ghz band of my old router, which was pretty far away. Had worked fine until now, but for whatever reason the signal was too poor now. Switching from 5gh to 2.4 took me from 1300ms to 10ms ping

Bullet Hell for the minigun, with the build 32221. It’s a crowd control minigun that’ll stun EVERYTHING. And then you run your secondary as some sort of single target, and you’re golden! Personally I run Mole on the Coilgun, with I think it’s 32213? I’d have to check my build to make sure though

Wow. I've even messaged Bjorn directly a week ago but he never responded. The game is literally unplayable for me for over a month because of the issue. But if switching to wifi will make this game playable, then I'll go with that. Ironic that ethernet is the less reliable connection right now.

With ethernet, I hadn't played the game for a few days, as soon as I launch game after a fresh install, tried to join, fail, then that "UNKN" error comes up over and over. The interesting thing is, if you check the PS5 UI, it showed you'd be in the session of the person you joined.

If you think you suck at the game, try reducing the Hazard Level to something manageable until you get some experience under your belt, some weapon upgrades purchased, and some perks unlocked.
Hazard Level 3 will be a challenge for many people when first starting out; it's certainly not impossible, but it is fairly tough. But with a few upgrades and perks, the higher Hazard Levels become easier to tackle. Even so, the random nature of mission elements and enemy spawns can make a Hazard 3 sometimes feel like a Hazard 4, or even a Hazard 2, so don't judge your performance based on one mission's results

Since drg is the only multiplayer game I'm juggling in my backlog, I'm fine with sticking with wifi unless I'm needing to download more games. DRG is no longer my "primary" game. I still enjoy it a few hours a week. I get not playing a game that isn't fixed. I'd have no tolerance for other games with game breaking issues. But I know GSG really does try to fix the game and the game is treated much better than most live service games. So I'm more tolerant of the bugs and issues.

As far as I'm aware, PlayStation doesn't have cloud saves by default. I believe you have to have PS Plus to have access to cloud saves AND then you have to turn on automatic cloud saves. (I could be wrong, but that's what I've gathered.)

If you have all of that, you might be able to check the in-game Options menu, select Save Menu, then select Restore Save. That accesses the cloud saves on other versions of the game, and I can only assume it does on the PS versions as well

Yes, you can keep your progress when moving to the PS5. You can either by use the PS4 version on your PS5 console, which will allow you to move back and forth between the two consoles whenever you like; or if you use the PS5 version it's a one-way transfer of your save data.
You can transfer your save data by opening the in-game Options menu, selecting Save Menu, then selecting Restore Save

Should be able to download your cloud save via PS (click start button in the ps menu while on the DRG Game icon). Don't start the game till you download otherwise you have to restart the game anyway.

Download that file if you have one, then start the game and once in the space rig open the pause menu and go to the last tab (should be something about save settings or something).

It should immediately offer you to use the save file it finds or you can select it manually in the menu

No need for video. It's a known issue, but no idea what causes it. However, you should be able to use the PlayStation website, or perhaps the mobile app, to access the Supporters Packs and complete the transaction

Hey so like I got the game and I've played 4 rounds, and it was really fun but now I can't join a single lobby because any time I do it says signaling timed out

I'm also pretty sure nobody can join me because when I host not a single person joins

So now I don't know what do to besides play solo forever I guess because I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it still does it

I can't say how common it is, but some others have reported connectivity issues. Some of which resolve by rebooting the console and/or router, and some of which resolve by switching to wifi if currently using ethernet or switching to ethernet if currently using wifi

Sounds a little bizarre, but these workarounds have been reported to be successful in many if not all of the mentions of the issue I've seen

It doesn't seem to affect everyone though -- plenty of folks are not complaining about it and the devs can't recreate the issue on their hardware -- so it's proving to be a bit challenging to find and fix

If there's troubleshoot steps that can't be taken, there's not much anyone can do. Rebooting the router can help. If he's currently connected to the router by an ethernet cable, switching to wifi can help. If currently using wifi, switching to an ethernet cable can help. These are all things that are confirmed to have worked for other people

Then no, there shouldn't be. You can even skip the tutorial and get into a multiplayer game right away.
But, some people have reported connection issues that have only been resolved by rebooting the router and/or changing the internet connection type between wired and wifi. If your friend is unable to try those things, there isn't really much anyone else can do at this time. The connection issues don't affect everyone, and they don't affect the devs hardware; it's very hard for them to fix issues they can't see happening.
Your best bet is for your friend to try rebooting their router, and/or switching connection types

I understand. However, this is what has been confirmed by others to have worked when they have the exact issue you're mentioning. Now, that's not to say it will definitely fix your issue, but the things I've mentioned have worked consistently for I believe everyone else who has tried them. And others have said exactly what you just did, that other games were working.
So, it is something specific to Deep Rock, but it is also something that has been fixed consistently by rebooting the router and by switching connection types. If it still doesn't work after those things are tried, it would be the first time I've seen someone report that

I know sometimes we don't have immediate access to all the hardware necessary to try some of these fixes, and that's always frustrating. In this case, there's not really any other options at this time

Whoever was asking about leveling quickly. Here's the simple secret. Always join missions that already started. Same rewards over less time. As long as you're not a total dick and not contributing, host shouldn't have a problem with very late joins.
