Like when to drop shield bubbles and how to use zip lines to help not just you but also ur team

Scout is hard to start off with and you will end up killing yourself ALOT

But also even experienced scouts tend to get lazy n not light rooms up

When I play scout I'm usually always running out of my fare shots

You should also do the same.. I see so many scouts come to a large room and shoot 1 flare

When I shoot 3 or 4

To light up everything

And I keep it lit

As long as I can

There are no game servers, it's all peer-to-peer. So, if you're getting disconnected, it's pretty much either your internet connection, the host's internet connection, or the host has quit the game

Like I said, it was a concept that got added, but they've not moved beyond the general concept. So, at this time, it simply results in a few extra minerals or credits if enough people are in your chosen group and playing the game. You can't really control whether or not you encounter the things you need to go after, and you'll probably do the things when you encounter them anyway, so mechanically there's nothing to the feature and practically it just results in a handful of bonus minerals and credits every few weeks. You'd get more from playing a mission or two

They are a bit different, because it's based on Hazard Levels which affects more than just how hard the bugs hit (affects enemy health, speed, damage resistance, etc.).
The regular Deep Dive starts at Hazard Level 3 for the first stage and moves up to Hazard Level 3.5 by the third stage.
And the Elite Deep Dive starts at Hazard Level 4.5 for the first stage and moves up to Hazard Level 5.5 for the third stage.

You get the same rewards during any Deep Dive: a Blank Core for completing the first stage, a Weapon Core for completing the second stage, and a Cosmetic Core for completing the third stage. But, the Elite Deep Dive is a separate thing, so you will get the stage rewards the first time you do an Elite Deep Dive.

EDDs are, pretty consistently, the hardest thing you can do in the game. You get up to Hazard Level 5.5, it can get pretty hectic.
The nice thing is that they are consistent for the enitre week until they change on Thursday, so if you try it again you'll go in with a good idea what to expect and where objectives and nitra can be found... well at least up through Stage 2...

Having highest level perks and weapon upgrades and overclocks can make it considerably easier, in that case. Sounds like you did pretty well to make it to the end of Stage 2

It can be fun to see how wild things can get when you're first starting out. And on the flip side, I think DRG lends itself well to making carrying fun (but it really can get a little out of hand very quickly on higher Hazard Levels, haha)

As for the overclocks you're getting, it's completely random luck-of-the-draw. You'll have a bit more control over what you get when using Blank Cores after completing a machine event, but only a bit

Yeah, you'll occasionally find a Machine Event during regular missions. You'll need to have a dwarf promoted already to activate them, or be playing with someone who has a dwarf that's been promoted already

Once the event is successfully completed, you'll be able to spend one Blank Core and be offered a choice of three random cores.
If the Machine Event is not completed successfully, you do still get XP for attempting it, but you won't get the opportunity to spend a Blank Core. So, especially when starting out, it can be worth it to at least try to do each Machine Event (or at least activate it and run away, haha) just for the XP even if you don't have any Blank Cores to spend

Exactly! It takes skill, luck, teamwork, and an eternity of dedication to obtain. Every time I log on with my buddies, we set out to achieve this almost impossible goal. I think the first mission in a Deep Dive is your best bet. Harvesters only appear in certain regions though.

The 15th is for the Steam version. Steam has always gotten the updates a week or two early, because if there's problems the devs can rapidly respond to them and push out as many hotfixes as fast as possible. Then the consoles get all the fixes rolled up and delivered in update with fewer issues out of the gate

Hi all. I am new to the server. I’ve been looking around the DRG subreddit and random Google results trying to find out what’s going on. I can’t seem to join any lobbies on PS5. Usually the first time I try on any given day I can join but only that once. After that the connection times out or just can’t connect, usually until I log off and try again the next day. Every season is like this. They update Steam first, because if there are issues they can rapidly respond on the Steam version. Updates on consoles have to go through certifications before release, updates on Steam do not. So they test on Steam first, and then consoles get the improvements

Also you can't put supplies right on it, but most of the time you can close enough to stand on it while triggering the unlock AND stay safe from the laser pulses. Also prioritize the unlock pad opposite the core infuser, that's always the pulses, and makes the event so much easier.

Hello, I'm playing the game on the PS5. But I have a little problem, I don't know if it's me but when I have an assignment mission and I look at people who have the same mission it's impossible for me to join them, whether it's people already in progress in the mission or those who have not yet launched the same error message each time between (connection failure…)

On season 2, I had no problem joining but since.
A little complicated, is this a known concern currently?

Nothing has changed recently. Sometimes things just feel a little easier or a little harder.
Sometimes Haz 4 feels like Haz 3 and you breeze right through the whole mission wondering if you really set it to Haz 4. And then sometimes Haz 4 feels like Haz 5, and you're in for a bit more excitement than you expected.
It happens; keeps you on your toes 😁

Hey, I have a ps5 and 4, but aren’t getting saved data from one to the other. Have a lot of progress on the 5, and occasionally want to play on the 4. Anyone know how to fix this please? Start from the beginning and assume I know nothing… or got a handy link!? TIA

Well, unfortunately it's pretty simple. You can migrate your save from the PS4 version to the PS5 version, but you can't go backwards. It's a limitation with Sony's save transfer process, from my understanding.
In order to play on both consoles with the same save data, you'd have to be using the PS4 version on both your PS4 and PS5 consoles

You're welcome! I wish there was a better answer for you, because it's a bit of a bummer. Since save management is handled completely on the platform's side of things, it's subject to the platforms limitations and your get stuff like this. It can be fun starting over though, if you're up for it. The early progression is fun. It's once you get into overclocks that it gets to be a little less exciting...

To be a better scout you gotta be aware of your location and your surroundings when someone marks minerals or something to mine go get it!! If there is a platform underneath some nitra or minerals go get it immediately if the area is dark and your crew is sticking there for a bit pull out the flare gun to light the room for everyone for a bit on a class tho kinda depends what you want if you want a lot of movement options smg type set up I recommend the plasma rifle with the double pistols if you wanna have a good secondary that could do a lot of damage in one area of course the shotgun is wonderful over clocks help a lot with your build too but that's once your promoted

NEVER FORGET FLARES thats tbh the most important rule cuz some people go nuts if you dont flare cuz its easy fast and cheap in ammo so just do it u know (I recommend also using the time upgrades or ammo for most cases since then u just can Light up stuff more)

From someone going from nothing to promoting their scout for the first time (I have no standing in this conversation just my 2 cents) best thing you can do is above stated minerals and flares. Something I like to focus on is reviving too. To me, if by the end.of the mission If I have went down 0 times or atleast a low number, I have the most minerals minded and a good few revives a
I've done my job. I like to use the plasma rifle and the shotty with cryo nades. I just zip about, okay the obj on missions and getting the nitra, gold etc until there's no minerals left. Keeping the main rooms lit and keeping an eye if someone goes down then I'll zip over, cryo if there's bugs and heal them. Helping out with damage where I can
