Not for PlayStation to other other platforms. The save files can be copied between the Steam version and Xbox version on Windows, but this is an unofficial feature and requires manually moving and renaming files, and it doesn't always work when the versions are on different patches. There are no DRG servers to facilitate anything like this

It should be live for PlayStation versions. Events are intended to go live on all platforms at the same time (it should only be the updates/seasons that go live on Steam first). There was a patch that came out today which should have made the event show up, and I can confirm it's live on Xbox, at least. Make sure you're updated if youre not seeing the event

Yeah not all the apps though. But it just put all the PS4 related apps on PS5 as the PS4 versions. I was asking about how to import the PS4 save to PS5 for DRG. Like No Man's Sky and BIOMUTANT had those options on the PS4 games I tried so far.

It sounds like a PlayStation network issue, since it's happening to multiple people. There are no game servers for DRG, it's all peer-to-peer connections facilitated by each platform's network, so connection issues are either on the user's end or on Sony's end

When it's ready. A good rule of thumb is to guess it'll be about roughly two weeks after Steam. But ultimately it really will be available as soon as possible, so it could be sometime next week, or it could potentially take longer. Steam kinda acts as the lab rats so that the consoles can more reliably get an update with fewer bugs

i had the same thing happen to me when i got back into drg about 3 months ago and i noticed the heat buildup so i went ahead and cleaned the inside of my console. apparently its recommended you do that every 4 months, also depends on how much dust you have flying around at your place i guess.

anyway, that helped me out at least, probably worth a try.

@coral yew my husband also got this glitch, both in ps store and in game glitches mentioned. Found a work around to it - bought the pack on PlayStation store from phone and it auto downloaded on console (that may be a setting that needs to be turned on on your account) but it then let us successfully claim the pack in-game when we started it up.
I also found a reddit post where someone was having this same issue as well. They couldnt access any of the supporter packs, and only the supporter packs.

No, and it is highly unlikely there will ever be cross-platform play with the Steam version for a number of good reasons.
The Steam version is different enough that it would have to be downgraded to be compatible with the console versions.
Each version also uses its own platform's network to facilitate multiplayer, and the networks are not compatible without a good bit of additional work to change how the game works and probably some hardware (i.e. servers, and the game currently doesn't have any servers for multiplayer, it's all peer-to-peer) to enable accounts talking to each other.
Lastly, the devs would have to completely change how they work on and develop DRG, because all versions would have to be updated at the same time to maintain cross-platform functionality. It would slow down and complicate all development moving forward, as well as slow down all development while working on adding cross-platform functionality.
Unfortunately, it's just very unlikely to ever happen

Presumably, most people have bought the version where their friends are already. Some, of course, buy it on the platform available to them, and then find out friends have it on other platforms and wish to join them.

Unfortunately, the platforms don't have any functionality for cross-platform play built into them, so then it's completely up to the developer to create all of the functionality at their own expense. I can only speculate, but those would be additional versions that would have to be developed and maintained. That's more time and resources, and for smaller devs they need to make tough decisions on where they spend time and resources, and ultimately on what they can and can't support

Yes, it's not designed that way and there are no servers to facilitate this, and the platforms themselves to not natively support this. Each version of the game uses its platform's networking and cloud functionality. If the platforms built in support for linking accounts on other platforms, I'm sure the devs would at least take look at using that functionality.

Without that, the devs would have to have and maintain servers to facilitate sharing progression between accounts. Again we get into lots of resources being needed to make such a thing happen. And we're back to any indie dev team with limited resources are going to have to make tough decisions on what they can or can't support...

What happens is, majority of the time, I'll try to join a player's game, and it'll keep loading, but I never join. After canceling, I can say with confidence that majority of the time, after canceling, if I join another player right after, I get the UNKN error. And can't join any game unless I "disband party" to reset the space rig instance, or restart the game/PS5. This may work for a couple missions, but after about 1-2 more missions, the issue pops up again

If it worked stably all the time, and then after the update, many users started having connection problems, it is unlikely that the problem is in the router or the Internet

there is no increase in connection issues since the update, except what is expected as users update the game. your symptoms are consistent with a setup issue at your end, that why i think you should try this, because its not a general game issue. Even if you have tried it, try it again

I am a system administrator by profession and I, like no one else, know how to identify the source of the problem, excluding all possible causes with the help of certain actions. So the problem is definitely not with the Internet. All solutions found on the Internet do not work. In addition, after an endless connection to the server, when it does not write that there is a connection error, the playstation menu writes before the break that I am in a group. And after clicking on the disband team button (in which I am alone in the game itself), the screen simply turns black, while the sounds continue to work until you go to the menu again and press disband again. Previously, there was no such problem and I think it is unlikely that this is an Internet problem.

You just need to connect through the list of servers, because if are already connecting to 1 out of 5 servers, when the problem started and did not connect at all, my friend and I could only connect to each other through invitations, and then, juggling attempts to restart the game, making it a host me, then him, through breaks and errors, after about 15-20 minutes, it turned out to connect to each other.

Fairly rare. I believe some of the spawn rates, at least for some things, might be mentioned on the wiki, but I've not checked. They only spawn when the cave is generated though (like a Bet-C or a Korlok), so you'll never have a Crassus Detonator spawn in mid-mission the way the normal Bulk Detonators do

It is exceptionally rare that that happens. There is almost always an overabundance of Hollomite. It can happen, but I would suggest conducting a more thorough exploration; there might even be an area of the cave you've missed, and the "missing" Hollomite usually turns up

I’ve found Hollomite embedded into cave walls where you don’t notice it until you stare at it for a moment. Try double-checking some walls.

Certain biomes, like Magma Core and Hollow Bough, tend to have a higher incidence of cave walls or cave structures obscuring secondary objectives, in my experience. And then Azure Weald, while beautiful, just seems to make everything harder to find, haha.
It is not impossible for not enough of a thing to spawn, since everything is procedurally generated, but it is very rare. Being short a secondary after exploring is fairly rare already, and we do usually find the resource with a bit more of a look around, so when we can't find the last of a secondary I always suspect it is still there somewhere and we must have just missed it. But there has been a very, very few times where I'm 100% sure there wasn't enough of something...

I suppose there's a niche case of someone leaving with it on them (which would transfer that to the resource container, so be sure to deposit those!)

There's several good reasons why cross-platform play does not exist. The Steam version of the game is substantially different; features would have to be removed or altered in order to make it compatible, so Steam is pretty much out of the question.

That leaves the PlayStation and Xbox platforms. It's not completely impossible, but the game uses peer-to-peer networking (as opposed to game servers) that is set up by each platform's network, and these platform networks are not currently compatible with each other. So, the devs would have to invest in server hardware and software and then essentially recreate how multiplayer connections are established in order to facilitate cross-platform play. And this summary is probably drastically oversimplifying all the issues.

It just doesn't seem very likely, (or in the case of Steam, very possible)

The Steam version of the game would have to be downgraded to become compatible. This seems incredibly unlikely to happen. And that's only one of the issues with making the Steam version cross-platform.

It's not that it would be impossible to do any of it, it's that the game is not designed for it. It would have to be redesigned, even just for the consoles to be cross-platform. And the devs would have to create a way for accounts on different services to talk to one another. These problems are not unsolvable, but that doesn't mean they are always the best use of finite resources.

At the end of the day, the devs agree it would be very nice to have cross-platform functionality. They also know better than any of us exactly what it would take to make it happen. I can only speculate based on what they've said previously and what limited knowledge I have about how things work, but it would be a lot of work and require sacrifices to make it happen. It would slow down or stop development of new content and features, and could easily mean each future update takes longer to arrive.

There's good reasons why it isn't planned at this time, and, since these reasons seem unlikely to change significantly, it leads me to believe that it will not be fitting into the plans well anytime soon

Ok not complaining, I love the game and it’s the best I’ve played in a while, discovered it about a week ago after it being out for 5 years, I bought the original game on PS for $30, loved it and was behind on the season 3 content so I bought the starter pack for an extra $10 because I know I’m gonna play this for a long time now, and today the PS Store has its spring sale going on, just upgrading to the ultimate edition was just $30, no sale. PlayStation had lots of EU players, I play with them everyday, I’m from South Asia and not a single lobby from this region lol, I have 200-250 ping with EU players, 150 ping with Asian players, and 300 ping with NA players 😐 I also play on PS4 so it’s 40fps and below in haz5 games lol

If you happen to get someone you know (or meet online) into the game, I'd recommend that, as that way one of you (or you could take turns) could host and enjoy that refreshing lack of ping. That's how I've enjoyed playing DRG the most on Xbox.

I may actually commit to it and just buy a playstation and a copy of the game. Either that or play it on the deck, though it's not as enjoyable for me.

• Learn to use your Laser Pointer and the "Rock and Stone!" salute for a lot of communication; you can convey a ton of information with only those two tools.
• Generally don't rush around and push buttons if you're not the host; work together with what the host and team seem to be doing. The Laser Pointer and Rock and Stone helps with this tremendously. The teamwork aspects of this game feel pretty great, so it makes it easy. If you find that you like to move at a different pace, try being the host.
• Try to only take one resupply unit from a Resupply Pod at a time, unless it seems like folks are leaving ammo behind. Ammo can sometimes feel a little limited when first starting out, so it can be tempting to take more, but it shouldn't be too bad if you're starting out on Hazard Level 2 or 3.
• Hazard Level 4 is often a good bit of a challenge before you have upgrades for your weapons and tools. Some folks like that challenge, but it can sometimes be overwhelming.
• Most of all, have fun 😁
