The only thing anyone can say with any certainty is that it'll be available as soon as possible. If and when it's possible to do so, the devs usually pop in and give an update after they've sent it off to the console makers for certification and/or distribution. At that point, it's usually pretty quick for it to become available to download, but is ultimately dependent upon the console makers at that point

It absolutely could. It's usually minutes to hours, but the Microsoft/Xbox version did have a particularly long stretch of days once (due to extenuating circumstances that I don't believe currently exist)

The devs work up through all the time they've given themselves, and then send it when it's ready. Usually it means better updates with less immediate necessity for hotfixes

They could send it ahead of time and schedule a release, but then they don't get feedback right away and would take the exact same amount of time to get fixes out either way. And any work they did in the meantime might be affected by any of the fixes they might need to make after updating, so it could slow progress

I can now confirm, this bug is still in. but it's the act of finishing a promotion assignment that triggers it, not the act of actually promoting, as I had a promotion ready to go right when s3 started but it didn't do anything, but just finished my gunner promotion assignment right now and it refreshed my core hunt

Big PSA for anyone who is not aware; as of the the launch of season 3 on playstation, there is a bug that allows you to drastically shorten the overclock grind. Upon completing any promotion assignment the weekly core hunt assignment will refresh, and allow you to complete it again for 3 more overclock cores

Oh i see, but i actually enjoy the gameplay loop, the game is more than an overclock grind for me, the fun is build crafting and thats hard to do when the most important part of my build is locked behind rng and time gating.

I never played it on PC but the only things I felt weren't 100% ported correctly are the weapon and cosmetic screens where you move your cursor around like a mouse. Otherwise it plays like any other shooter. 🙂

what yeet said, but also console side has motion aiming whereas pc (even with a pad) doesn't, enable that (and turn off enhanced precision as it makes it too slow) and it'll probably much closer to mouse precision than without

Yyeah the rockpox can be a little intensive on the frame rate, more often in multiplayer. But it’s what day 2, going into day 3 of the update? So some issues are to be expected this early on lol. Otherwise, great! I don’t really have any further complaints or wacky things I’ve run into. The rockpox enemies are a lovely change of pace, and they’re more variety in the enemy pool, which I love to see! So with that, and a bunch of stuff I didn’t mention that are sweet! I’d give it a pretty confident 10/10!

Hi i have an issue i was wondering if someone could aid me with. I played deep rock a lot on my ps4 and got pretty far. Then when i got my ps5 6 months ago i swapped over my save data. Well now my ps5 has broken and i might lose progress on a lot of games. I didnt make a cloud save since transferring my data. Is it at all possible to salvage my ps5 save data through drg somehow

HAZ5 is really challenging. Bot just bc of hazard ranking bright highest thus bugs get stronger.. No it's about the spawns too. The hords and all that stuff. It's hard in its own right. But if you're okay with things amped up then HAZ5 is not too hard.

But you have to come prepped and ready for swarms at any moment

And it gets harder the more dwarves are there

Solo haz 5 is quite okay and stuff but a lobby full of dwarfs ?? Be aware that the bugs might just put you on your ass

Well I JUST had an Elimination mission, Hazard 3, exploder infestation. On the LAST dreadnaught and it killed everyone but me, I was able to clutch a revive then unfortunately died. Then leaf loving tree hugger ran into the sticky bog goop and got killed my exploders

Its just one thing after another with randoms. Id rather run solo with bosco. I play at my once pace and i dont have these knobheads mucking it up

I like the rockpox. So far I've been playing only in hazard difficulty level 3 and 4. On level 4 there's instances where the rockpox spawning ontop of the usual bugs is making nitra even more valuable than I saw in season 2. I've never had this average low ratio of nitra and resupply compared to bug spawning. I've usually always had surplus of nitra, but these most recent games it almost feels like a drought or extra challenge to get the nitra in the difficult position in relation to the bugs in the wall. Tl:Dr not a complaint just an observation gg see you in game

I saw a video of some dwarves doing just what you mean Noodles. Instead of mining the whole way , they climbed up the drop pod hole.

There's a point where the drop pod hole closes and they had to start digging.

At some point the dirt became something else that requires 4 hits to mine. After a good way it turns into black rock* ( this is where swarms stopped spawning/chasing the duo) .

Then even further they start seeing specs in the air. Then finally after 40-50 min digging they breach the top. The specs are revealed to be stars* and they could see the entirety of the cave system (that weren't obstructed by a top part of the cave. Interesting stuff.

If a Red or green name is ok with it I could post the video link. It's not necessarily against the rules , but better to ask first

Leaf Loving randoms are at it again. Story time. We finish up the Caretaker boss fight. Secondary objective is at 8/10 fossils. I mark the gunner for one I see on the wall, she gets it. The other dude prematurely calls in the drop pod before we finish.... well it lands and they haul to the pod and get on...

I find the 10th fossil and deposit it at the pod. But wait... the objective is still at 9/10... I watched the gunner grab the fossil. I had to tell the gun 10 TIMES to deposit it and they just looked at me all confused

So I walked away from the pod and kept them hostage until she deposited it...she eventually did...mind you they are account rank 80

I stopped playing DRG for a couple months and just recently came back to playing it, and I've noticed a large amount of drillers using their C4 to down team mates purposefully, I seem to see it mostly before entering drop pod. That's not a reason to kick someone. Scout has great dps options. Gunner is good too driller can kill the arms faster then anyone and engi makes it easier with his turret (for small swarmers or p-bots) scout can hit the eye on all 4 sides faster then any class having 2 scouts just amps that up.

I understand you might want the 4 only classes but there is a good reason why I like 2 engis for pipes and such. Have 2 of 1 class is not always bad. If you feel this way then make your lobbies have a class limiter.

Lets see. I’ve been playing with randos a ton recently, so I can’t exactly “farm” efficiently. I was pretty much lucky as hell to have three classes close to promo when the bug was a thing. Otherwise if I don’t wanna play solo, I’ll join haz 4-5 missions, with double xp, or some modifier that gives a large bonus yknow? Like rival presence gives 30%, lithophage gives 50%. So essentially just stacking good negative modifiers, longer missions, and higher hazards, so I can get the most per mission. And since I skip gold, data deposits, and usually try and push multiple objectives at once, I can get through that stuff pretty quickly. Didn’t exactly answer your question, but it’s nice to know. Otherwise I can link you a video talking about it lol

Every mission can be solo'ed , some are more difficult for certain classes (Scout on Refinery, Driller in point extraction ext)

Oh, I wasn't suggesting it should happen; I was pointing out what it would take to have a Fallout/Skyrim level of mod solution on consoles.
The devs have shown they know what they're doing, so I don't worry about any of these things

sure, and one of the strengths of UE4 is its openness for modding. I haven't seen any other PS4 games that use UE4 allow for mod support like they have on PC, there's likely something on the Sony side that could be disallowing it, but I definitely remember modding being a thing on Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3.

Mods are already a thing on the Steam version, so it won't be an engine limitation. Trouble is that the console makers have restrictions on what mods can be on consoles and/or how mods work on consoles

We specifically went with ModIO to have the option for console mod support. Thing is, mods are the wild west, and for a mod to get to a console platform would require immense work and testing. Mods will crash your game again and again because they’re hacked content (latching on to other content, replacing content, or layering content) ~99% of the time, and that kind of instability and potentially bad experience is not something the platforms will allow.

Someone in here said that they have a higher chance to spawn in longer more complex caves. It also helps to wait to push the call for extract button until you've explored the entire cave.

I've been on a few mining missions where someone presses the button as soon as we finish. While Me or a Scout goes a bit further only to find a event at the bottom of the cave as the pod arrives.
