Just 383 more lines and I'm done with the folder and just about halfway done with fully dubbing all lines of the dwarfs. ^.=.^

It doesn't work on Mactera, as far as I saw it only affects Glyphid enemies
Had to pull some stinky stuff to get this to work, so all the colorable parts (fingers, tail, legs etc.) are a part the the head model instead of the armor. So if i were to make a new armor model, i would have to model around the colorable parts since i cant swap them out. Probably not the best way of doing this, but it's what i've got for now.

I have almost finished dubbing 50% of the lines, but there are some that I'm going to revisit and redo.
For example, I realized a little late that I was mispronouncing Hoxxes, as "Hox-seez" instead of "Hox-sis". >.=.<
I think both pronunciations of Hoxxes are acceptable
But I can't remember if I've come across any pronunciations other than the one that I assume is the correct one.
Is there one you're aware of? o.=.O
In the tutorial mission control pronounces it Hox-seez when you first land

Bear in mind I am intending for them to be more playful/energetic/upbeat then the dwarfs.
in my opinion, from what ive heard of the lines youve somewhat missed what makes the lines in DRG good or memorable (im not saying thier bad, just missed the mark in my mind)
Yeah, I don't see how I alone can match the writing, as I am no writer, nor am I even clever at coming up with witty comebacks or other things like that.
This is why I ask for feedback.
At the moment I'm just trying to put some decently fun stuff to listen to, while I get to dubbing all the lines, then return back to the ones that miss the mark, or could use better.
oh, i dont expect you re record all your lines. if thats what your going for, thats what your going for. i just think some of them sound like thier being read from a script, are a bit too long winded or said too quickly. what i think makes the DRG lines good is that they just generally sound like the dwarves communicating what they are doing or are offhand remarks about a current situation.
I get the "long wined" part, but the "being read from a script?" I don't have one and try to make them up and deliver them in as many different ways as possible.
Hell, when it comes to shouting lines like the generic kills, I on several occasions have worn out my vocal cords and had to take breaks because of it.
So I must ask, what lines sound unconvincing? Like I'm not immersed/selling the idea that I'm a kobold in DRG?
ok i worded that weirdly, i meal less they sound like thier being read off a script, but more as in they its something the character rehearsed beforehand to say it when the moment came. (what comes to mind for me is some for the plasma bursters, as in it not sounding like something came up with on the spot) which isnt a bad thing like i said if thats what your going for.
which also keep in mind, im prob not the best to ask for criticism about this, while i will say im a little obsessed with DRG id most likely do a shit job coming up with lines

I know, it's mostly a result of me trying to get the lines done as quickly as possible without increasing the risk of them becoming too long.
Kind of like what happened when I was doing the drunk lines.
I went all out and didn't care for how long they went for, and as a result, the drunk kobolds end up talking over themselves a lot... But I keep getting told to leave them in as it adds a lot of additional chaos, a specially when all 4 players are drunk.

Though I've been told that I'm not actually high pitched enough to sound like how kobolds are described in the books "like yapping puppy dogs"

i like the classes sounding a bit diffrent, just the scout with you is a bit chipmunk
That's because of my personal settings I made it so that none of the classes are in the negative zones, as a lower toned voice on top of my high pitched voice does not work for both my tone, and what is expected from a kobold voice.
It however created the problem of me being able to make them sound different compared to each other, the best way I could do it was by increasing each one by 0.20 each.
Speaking of chipmunks, if you think that's bad, listen to rich atmosphere. XD
I think they could use being a little more gravely (pun intended), and they are draconic so they could even be a bit more gutteral. I guess they sound too smooth? Like if i heard that without the context of this is a kobold i would think young human
I thought of doing that, however I can't seem to find a way to do it without straining my vocal cords even more, and considering how many lines there are (3,637), I just decided to abandon entirely and just make do with what I could do most comfortably. v.=.v
I'll just be happy when it's done, and Dovy has finished and released the kobold player model.

I copy and paste all lines from a folder I'm gonna do, then paste a copy of what I've done so far over it and delete it, so I know what I've done so far, and haven't missed anything.
This here is all I haven't done so far in the DwarfSpeakAugust2019 folder.
204 left so far, then it's time to move on to the next folder. SpeakDwarfMarch2020 then SpeakDwarfSep2020 and then SpeakAug2021 AND THEN SpeakMarch2022 and it is ALL DONE!!

I'm quite satisfied with most of these, even did the cut drink lines that aren't being used in the game right now, you never know when they might either bring it back or if someone does so with a MOD.
Though I think I might redo some of the "heavy breathing" lines, at least the ones where I cough, and keep it consistent with just heavy breathing.

I want to make a basic mod that swaps a model. I have no experience in modding. If no one can help me, that would be unsurprising.
I don't know how applicable this is to DRG and how open source are mods for this game, but something I've learned in my years of modding Payday 2 is that the best way to make your own mod is to find someone else's mod that does something similar and substituting its assets with your own

You hold all primaries, secondaries, class items related to your class.
Each class has a jetpack and an empty weapon.
Loadouts update right away with no need to switch classes now.
Have not tested multiplayer though.

Finally got around to dubbing the DropPod lines (sorry for my bad singing)
I had this idea of the kobolds singing before the start of the mission, lifting up their spirits even more.
So far it looks like this idea kind of worked... However I didn't know that the lines get abruptly cut off the moment the drop pod hits the ground.
I might need to see if there's a way to fix that, otherwise I'll just simply have to try and shorten the songs.

Dear god I need to rest my voice now.
Did 243 lines straight, and spent hours cropping and cleaning each and every single one of them.
By far the biggest update I've pushed.
Still not happy with a few lines and may return to redo some of them.
But for now, I've pretty much finished everything relating to on-site refining, and nearly everything involving escort duty, just need to move on to the next folder that has the extra lines added in that introduced the option to save Doretta.

I've been using the voice mod for a while to get used to the voices and it's been pretty great so far!
I only really have a small issue with the pitching of the voices, scout's in particular feels a little too high. The base voice pitch in the video showcase being for driller doesn't seem to fit right and sounds like it should actually be Gunner's pitch and so on going up.
Of course, this could just be because I'm not used to the voices yet, but either way I still love it. Keep up the great work, Gold and Scales! 
Sometimes I find that using this mod helps some people like it more, personally I like it better without but a few of my group use it in conjunction.

I understand that the extreme pitch differences especially for scout might be too extreme, but I felt like I needed to raise each one of them up further to make them sound more different from each other.
What the originals had going for them is that there was ones voice that was really deep, and one that was high.
Driller -> gunner -> engineer -> scout.
But because of both my voice not really working in the deep area, AND it just flat out not really fitting on a kobold, which have been described to sound like "yapping pups" it makes sense for them to just get higher and higher.
Thankfully, as @vernal acorn pointed out, there are other mobs that people have made that you can use to change that.
Aside from the pitch differences (a specially when you get rich atmosphere XD )

As far as I can remember right now, there were a couple of the voice lines that seemed to drag on for longer than needed, but these Kobolds are just really chatty and I can accept that lol

I'm surprised I'm getting positive reception on my bad singing.
I know I keep calling it my "bad singing" instead of... I forget what Siirvend called it.
It's a word for a group of people that don't sing professionally, but sing together anyway.
Anyway I'm happy I achieved what I was after, something to show a bit of natural camaraderie with the group. To further emphasize that they are in it together.
And contrary to the dwarves when in the DropPod, every single one of them simply can't wait to get to work, as kobolds LOVE mining, mining is literally their lives.
And since they get to do it while fighting bugs and looking like a bunch of cute bad-asses, this could possibly be a glorious dream come true for them.
And it doesn't matter if they are working for a corrupt company that places their lives low on the concern list.
So long as them working for DRG benefits their Clan back home, it's worth it, as it would be with traditional kobolds from D&D:FR when it comes to their beliefs.
As for the lines dragging on... yeah I should revisit a few lines.
The only one I'm conflicted with, is the drunk lines.
They are WAY too long and easily overlap... But some people tell me to leave it in because it adds to the chaos, and that it's a specific situation that only happens when people intentionally go for it.
What other ones do you think I should fix?

I personally think that some of the lines being long is really fun when you have a few people drunk and they tend to not overlap more than the normal dwarf lines do unless everyone is really really drunk and even then they only overlap for a few seconds.

For example I had this mission with 18 mini mules and 36 eggs as a secondary
The thing took me 1.5 hours solo, but the XP
I would have to play that mission 3 times to get from rank 0 to rank 25 for a prestiege

This is an approved mod that scales the objective to mission scale, so it is still the vanilla payouts but with much longer mission requirements for a single mission.

I assume it's because of a weird interaction between two mods
There's another mod that allows you to buy missions, select mutators and anomalies and all that fancy stuff
However, the mod enables a person to select the same mutator twice (in this case Chimera, which adds 100% Hazard bonus), but so it isn't locked to sandbox, it has the anomalies golden bugs, gold rush and double XP removed.
However this mod adds anomalies (in this case a bugged double credit anomaly that was originally supposed to double credits instead of XP) but since the anomalies aren't in the "You can't add those" list, I can create a mission with it

Since i never got anything near that amount in a normal "crazy long" mission
they do, by increasing the hazard bonus
but most bonuses are small

Whoops, yeah, the only warning that I will give 100% is ghastly caves. Removes flashlight and has ghosts everywhere, might add another debuff to it. Was planning on reworking it to have the ghosts stay within a set distance of their spawn though, so I will lower it after that. Chimera has been changed a lot since the beta launch, so it will be a high tier warning at 25% due to new difficulty that I am not done with.

Like when you think that Hazard 4 is easy, try Star Troopers Hazard 4. It's Hazard 4 bugs but double the enemies, you'll never go back
Like you know those small mactera swarms that spawn in mactera infestation missions? That is how those look like in a hazard 4 star troopers with 4 players (Note: I have literally 3 rounds in my primary and a hyper propellant PGL, so that's why i'm running lol)
and even in that clip we're running 4 mutators to make the game harder (We won that one tho)
And remember that you can go further with swarm sizes than just double
There is a mod called custom difficulties
There you can change everything from swarm sizes, damage reduction on bugs, swarm delays, swarm strength, even specfic bug spawns etc
I'd only recommend Star Troopers and stuff when you have plenty vanilla experience, all upgrades and very good overclocks
but i could've survived that clip if I instead ran behind the supply pod, resupplied (faster resupplying is basically a must have with dash and born ready), dug in, and used my explosive LOK to kill the swarm
I have almost a thousand hours and i still learn little nuances like elemental damage by guns and stuff like environmental heat vs normal heat on weapons when trying to set stuff on fire

If you think the “ERR://23…” thing is from a mod, it’s not. It’s base game and an easter egg. It gives you 2k experience and is fairly rare to find.

Morkite missions generate extra Morkite at a percentage of mission requirements, or at least they do from my experience, tried modding Morkite missions before with around 6400 Morkite
If I had mined everything I might have gotten like, 8k
Also the game took like, 4 minutes to load but that’s not too surprising considering how much Morkite I forced it to generate lol

Having more than one is a bug but it has been fixed in the next update.
I have recently changed the kobold class icons to be more readable as to which class they belong to via color by a glance.

In the future, I do plan on attaching my mod to MOD HUB to allow you to switch between the subtle, and the more bright and colorful ones, or even outright turn them off if you have custom icons of your own you wish to use.
I think the background colors do definitely help a bit, especially with the fact that the colors of the actual kobolds are different from the colors of their respective classes
Yeah, that was the initial problem.
Each one of these kobolds belong to someone, handpicked from a bunch of volunteers that didn't mind having their characters featured in the mod..
The driller for example, is my dragonsona as a kobold.
We initially were trying to find kobolds to match the colors, but then the armor made them blend in to their own skin and didn't look right to us.
In the end we decided to assign ourselves to the most opposite we could find, and have some color in the background and our armor represent it more.
However it wasn't really enough it turns out, so I exaggerated the backgrounds more.
And so far, it seems to look much better.
Man, just imagine when this project is done, Kobolds galore! Im always super stoked to see progress in this Mod!

The way the generator scales the objectives. The specifics are above my head. But they shouldnt get huge like that

but i guess there is high variance above and below that perameter
I have added some scaling to escort and on site refining as they were not really scalable. I removed double dread objectives as a combo.
For those that don't know, I mount my phone beneath the microphone to show my lines... But sometimes I forget to put my phone on mute, then before you know it, someone messages me on discord. XD

If you check the debug menu and see PLS_Tutorial it will spawn bald morkite
doesnt matter the mission type
it will also (typically) spawn in the same areas

If you really hate what he has to say, you can turn Mission Control all the way down in the volume settings.
Or there's mods to shorten MC's lines/remove them entirely. I use https://drg.mod.io/sfx-muted-mission-briefings and https://drg.mod.io/shorter-mc-callouts-x-no-mc-ducking in addition to https://drg.mod.io/mission-control-text-remover-remake to hide the popups entirely.
