A Better Modding Menu mod is not actually "better", your link is better and worked
It is just no longer updated, so it is prone to breaking during new updates, as with many mods.

Yeah, every time you add a new mod, you need to click install mod. Think of it as an "apply changes" button.

yes, for DRG mods
it is easier to use mods with it imho. just download the link of the mod there, no matter if it's approved or sandbox, all mods will work

answering ur question: no. i just made a new token (name of a token, other things), then click on "copy all" button and paste it into mod.io key

when you reentered a new token, did you make sure to remove all of it with ctrl a before pasting the new one, mint does not display the entire token at once in that menu
ctrl a doesn't work in mintcat 0.4.6 (yes it's sad, but it's the truth)
but there is a "clean" button in it. and i always click on it before entering a new auth token

sandbox tag stays on forever on the save - that's why it creates a new save when you install one

hey, so i might mod drg someday, but probably not anytime soon, i just wanted to ask though, with drg modding, do the mods have to match the game version like modding most other games? (such as minecraft,rimworld,and many other steam games?)
as far as i know, mods usually have to be uploaded to match or be approved for that game version in any game, i just wanted to make sure this is consistent with drg too
Depends on what you want to mod
Certain things stay the same across multiple patches or will not be touched at all
While others need to be updated every update
good to know, just like the difference between texture packs, and content mods for minecraft then. texture packs only really need an update if theres a new block added or something, whereas content mods might need an update if the content they changed got updated at all

How hard would it be to remove Bosco's hitbox? It's really annoying when he eats my pickaxe or shots whenever he decides to fly in front of me. Well, there's two ways. Either way, you're gonna need a mod.io account.
You can hit the mods button on the screen right before you load into the game and use the in-game mods browser, but it's buggy and can be frustrating if you install a bunch of mods.
The other option is to install the MINT modloader. Takes a bit more effort to set up, but the instructions are easy and clear and it shouldn't bug out anywhere near as much

I have found that disabling the startup screen through the game options significantly reduces the odds of it happening. I've had it happen maybe 3 times total since S06. However, this was for local mods in the dedicated mod creation folder rather than ones from Modio.

Okay wait I fixed it, I just needed to add a -disablemodding launch flag
for how long has mission content randomizer been gone or does it just not want to show up for me
I renamed it to Massive Content Revise to better describe the changes.

Been having a trouble with mod list , even though all my mods are installed i at times have to reinstall them all , sometimes in game mod browse just doesn't work even though mod io site does work

You're hiding the in-game modding tag, that's the tag that the MINT modloader uses, and there isn't a filter that can sort that out that I know of.

In-game modding system likes to break at the drop of a hat. The MINT modloader is much more stable. You'll still need a mod.io account though

if someone could help me find this mod i would really appreciate it; i've seen it in a couple of other players lobbies before so i know it's not one that the player has to have installed. basically it spawns any of the enemies from all of the biomes in any mission but also spawns elite versions of various enemies and occasionally dreadnoughts as well. when it spawns dreadnoughts they have much less hp than they do in normal elim missions. the only mod i've been able to find that supposedly creates more varied enemies is one called "MEV" that supposedly spawns more varied enemies but despite spending a significant amount of time trying i could never get it to work.

okay so the 3 main mod categories are Verified, Approved, and Sandbox; verified for the things that dont give you an in-game advantage,.Approved falls in to the categories of the 8+ players and such, and some do give slight advantages but they still absolutely work for missions (just not achievements keep that in mind), so yes u totally could make your missions "easier"/more insane and still progress. now Sandbox is a little more tricky since i myself havent tried, but these ones are the most game changing, so much so that it's highly recommended to make a whole other save, and they dont count for any regular game progression except that sandbox one
for now just stick to the Verified-Optional ones, and Approved if u wanna host a modded server.

It was the Fast Forging mod. I'll leave this post in case anyone else searches a 403 error in the search bar. The old creator of Fast Forging delisted the mod, so Mint would get a 403 error when trying to fetch the data. There is a continued mod to replace it with.

MINT applies a "(modded)" tag to my server name despite only using verified mods. I understand using a different mod loader makes it hard to know which type of mods are being used, but this seems like an oversight. I've noticed a steep decline in randoms joining my lobby over this mark. Is there a way to bypass this? If not, any suggestions to get people to join? I was thinking adding text like "Vanilla - Verified Mods Only" or similar so people know it wont be some goofy-ah mission

could someone help/guide me in trying to create a certain mod or at least let me know whether it's possible to make in the first place? on super rare occasions the vanilla game will generate absolutely massive caves; like ridiculously massive. i just want to figure out if it's possible to make it so that the chance of that happening is 100%. i do not want to alter the games cave generation, just make it so every cave uses the giant cave generation. i host 24 player lobbies and i think that these caves would be perfect and really fun for that many players.
what makes me think this might be possible is that the giant caves all seem to have similar structure/architecture making me wonder if they are generated by a specific type of seed or whatever this game uses to generate each cave. i know that getting caves like these might just be random chance and not something you can reliably reproduce but i wanted to ask just in case.

i reactivated the weapon heat crosshair mod and it works just fine
there's a fork of mint that disables the tag (mint-notag), it also has some other minor improvements over regular mint. just make sure to only use verified mods so you dont screw over others.

making simple mods is not that hard
as its just replacing files in a specific heriarchy of folders
adding items and doing more complex things is quite a lot harder
it isnt made easier either since for some reason drg doesnt have an actual readable crash log for the end user, so if you're QAing your own mod, welp, good luck finding what went wrong if its crashing
so far the things i havent seen added with mods are new biomes, or new weapons (i know weapon replacements exist but they replace weapons not add)

So, I've just downloaded the game on steam to play with my pc only friend however I only have a pretty low end laptop that tends to like overheat every now and then And cause a massive decrease in frames even with my graphics set to the lowest possible

I couldn't find a mod for this, but what would I need to change to make a biome brighter? For example Azure Weald feels really dark to me. I can fire a bunch of Scout flares and I just can't see anything and it's really annoying. Whereas with other biomes like Rad zone, Sandblasted etc. flares illuminate the area just fine. But Azure is my least favorite alongside Hollow Bough for this reason. I hate not being able to see anything even with flares. I'm pretty sure this is biome specific because only these 2 seem affected. How can I modify this?

last time I played it immediately gave you the save select screen but now it just puts you into what appears to be the main save, will continuing to play from there overwrite your main save and turn it into a sandbox save?

Everytime I connect mod.io to my game, it will detec the mods and attempt to download/extract them, but never completes. Then sometimes when it does succeed, the next time I open the menu, they all mass uninstall

sorry if this is the wrong channel but ive been looking anywhere for a solution for this and i found nothing. The main issue is that i literally can not turn off my mods because of this, ive tried to unsubscribe etc straight from mod.io and ive done all the generic uninstall reinstall stuff.
I'd say "switch to MINT loader" but that's more of a final solution if nobody else helps to troubleshoot

go to ur steam library, right click deep rock galactic and open properties, then type -disablemodding into the launch options
the in-game modding system separates your lobby if you have approved/sandbox mods active. this just disables the in-game modding system to avoid that happening.

Yeah, Reddit mentioned that doing that helped, but for whatever reason my MINT just doesn't care about what the link looks like

@ornate elm Another thing is, if you have a bunch of mods loaded with the in-game integration, https://mod.io/g/drg/m/copy-mod-urls should help export them as a list of URLs that MINT understands

i fixed it, it has auto disable outdated mods on automatically so basically none of the mods were downloading

The latest test build is essentially what the update will be, minus some extra fixes and patch notes.
Bosco is much more useful than vanilla, so it should be more reasonable. You can also use the LFG channel and role to try to find others in the server for the mod.

If I disable non-cosmetic mods I should be able to get acheivements, yes? The file still says i am playing Modded. Is there any ay to fix this or is it just saying that because it as modded in the past? Can I still get achievements?
Becasue there are too save files and I'm pretty sure ive only used cosmetic mods on one of them, but they both sho up as "Modded" when I load them
To be clear im not looking for a way to cheat achievements, just re-enable getting them the normal way wwithout having to restart my entire save file

I had to remove the always sprinting mods, for some reason they always bugged out and made me unable to run at all.
Anybody got a fix for that? I'd rather toggle sprint than be stuck walking
- remove better spectator (if you have it, can cause issues with some)
- complain to gsg until they make it a base game feature
Supposedly it would require a rework of all items as the inability to sprint during use is heavily engrained into the core functionality of items. Which is why sprinting gets disabled after doing an action instead of continuing.

yes, in the lobby even if you hold down m1 or m2, you cant sprint. so it seems like its totally hardcoded

I've been in a recent pickle in regards to modding the game, wondering if anyone's had similar troubles
Ever since the "info screen" update I don't seem to be able to 'save' anything to the A slot, it just doesn't want to take. The stuff that's already in that slot are fine but if I have an extra mod it works for that sitdown, and then turns it off on the next game-launch.
In this case, I need brighter objects because my eyesight is a bit garbage
But I gotta turn it on manually every time I play because of whatever's causing this issue
(also for some reason every new launch of the game resets my resolution to a default 1920 value, so I have to resize every launch too)

so i tested out some settings on what spawns and what doesn't, and i entered a mission with the exploder warning on while having exploders turned off. i got exploders anyway.
a) was this supposed to happen or should i take it up with the devs of this mod?
b) if this was by design: i have cave leeches turned off in settings, so if i entered a mission with cave leech clusters i should expect leeches, right?

hey guys i have a weird issue where some mods are causing the "seat available" slots for multiplayer on the top left of the UI in the rig to disappear when enabled, which also seems to affect people joining me in the rig and ingame.
