Full size keyboard have a home and end key to the right of back space. Same set as insert, delete, etc.

i have an issue in modding, manage mods button do nothing, nothing hapens when i click on mod name( no popup window) how can i remove mods or install new? it was year or so ago when i last used mods
it opens the steam overlay so if that is disabled then it does nothing, have to go to mod.io in a web browser

Hi! I have a question about the 999 players mod. Actually, a couple questions.
- Do all of the players have to have it installed to join a friend diggy diggy session?
- When I installed it, it prompted me to make a Sandbox file, I'm wondering, if I uninstall the mod, do any of the progress I made when I had the mod installed be lost?
In answer of point 2, when you make a sandbox save, it copies the progress of your main save at the time of making. Any progress you make in sandbox is saved only to the sandbox save and doesn't go back to your main save.

Well in my opinion is not super game breaking like double ammo double players, its still a balancing act, like you can absolutely go in with 4 weapons but is that really going to make it easier on you? Then you have no tools, if it added more slots it would probably be sandbox, but right now its decently balanced.
Of course if its not balanced enough for you, you dont have to use it, play how you want. Rock and stone!

"We've wanted to give a LOT of leeway for Approved if there's a hint of creativity or some attempt to create a mod with an interesting experience. We've been fine if it's somewhat overpowered. Like Karl Class, it's a really cool mod and it opens up for you to do weapon combos that are OP, but you'll have to swap out one weapon for another."
I've tried Karl Class, and with the exception of Scout getting Gunner primaries and Gunner getting Grapple, going full NTP/Minelayer + Dets is only a mild upgrade to the current class metas. And losing support tools really hurts. Though, everyone having Grappling Hook eliminates the need for the other mobility tools
Current meta loadouts for each class let you Nitra pinch EDDs like they're 1 length missions, absolute total damage maximization isn't doing a whole lot IMO. So the only real question is if everyone exchanging their weaker support tool for grapple is worthy of Sandbox.
I see no reason at this time for the mod to be sandbox.
Yeah being able to just use grapple on everyone is probably the strongest element of it
Personally as a karl class user. I mainly find myself not using the bad stuff cough zipline cough rather than just the best stuff.
I use a good mix of everything as it suits me or the mission. Plats and drills on pipelines for example
Just set rules for yourself. One primary one secondary. One utility tool one mobility tool. Your lack of self control and urge to follow the meta is not a measure of a mods use or value.

It's pretty fun when setting rules ourselves, like making drg an rpg experience by choosing which friend wants to be the dps with big guns, the support with more utilities and guns with low damage but with DOT n stuff
Really makes the game much more flexible

These are all the ones I still use, some take some tweaking- namely better post processing and advanced darkness

Following up a discussion from the Bug chat, as it seems until it gets solved I am locked out of getting Blank Cores and overclocks.
Are there any mods that will still allow me to progress the game, and provide an alternate way to acquire cores while trying to get this fixed, or am I just out of luck until then

I can't share the methods as its forbidden by the rules. But you could edit your save as methods do exist.
That's fair, and a potential last resort if it comes to that to keep up with my friends in terms of progression. But I'd prefer not to cheat if at all possible. I want to be able to earn my buffs.
If anything I'm just irritated that this bug is happening, and that the matrix core story mission gave me overclocks for every class EXCEPT the one I play most...

Hi there, I hope everyone is having a good day, I wanna ask if there is a way I can request a mod of some kind that is about removing textures/particles or things like that, or maybe learn to do it on my own maybe, I need a mod to help me stop the graphic glitches that occur because of my old laptop (it has Intel HD Graphics 4000 gpu, not integrated), particle removal mods and such helped me get rid of alot of glitches but some still occur, Ill provide the listed issues I struggle with
- Sludge pump (Everything about it is painful, at least with particles removal mod the piles wont cause glitches but if bugs catch sludge on themsleves, the most horrible graphic glitches happen, is there a way to remove these particles or sludge pump goo in general, in old drg there used to be a command to remove those but the command was removed after season 2, at least is there a mod to remove all of the sludge? Please)
-Rockpox and lithofoam, looking at rockpox kills fps, looking at lithofoamer's foam kills ALOT of fps, is there a method or a mod that removes the sludge jump and lithofoam textures? Thank you- Meteor shower (Meteors digging terrain or when broken cause glitches)
- Shard Diffractor minning terrain (Makes weird entities-looking spheres with angry spiky surface all around the caves)
- Shredder Drones light (Makes colored stretched textures, painful to play around them)
- Scout's Crossbow electric arc thing bolts (they cause solar-flare like effects around them)
- Chistmas decorations in the Spacerig as well (When the glass balls break)

@north phoenix There were 2 remaining weapons and revealing who the hacker really is, those being the Laser Machinegun (Magic Weapon, for Engineer as a Primary) and the Xeno Staff (Summon Weapon, for Gunner as a Primary)
And the boss's defeat gives all of your drunkards the Terraprisma as a secondary weapon (which by on itself should be warning who's going to dropkick ALL of your asses)

When you enable a mod it gets added to the slot you currently have enabled. I don't think you can add a mod to a slot you don't currently have enabled, it's not the most intuitive.

Nope, verified mods are client side so your friends have to manually get them. You can use the A Better Modding Menu mod to copy a list of your mods to your clipboard to make that part easier.

also another question a bit silly though, is there a mod or an option the show the whole cutscene when you drop in to the planet with the drop pod for immersion reasons. Like you can watch that little number in the pod go from 0m to -2000m or something like that

Not sure about other places, but please note that if you load a mod manually (by placing a pak file in the paks folder), you will be forced to switch to a sandbox save.

That's the mod limit for multiplayer. 50 is the max the game can share. Solo will work fine above that but people won't be able to join

50% increase of the original value is the approximate maximum for the approved category for significant stats. This value can be higher for underwhelming stuff such as +1 mag for flare gun or +1 damage for Subata or whatever.

Removing legs is part of model editing, so you will need some modeling software. I believe the missing server had some guides on it, though

We have some tools in the modding server (linked in #fan-communities ). You can use Umodel to extract models from the game as .psk files and then use a Blender addon to import them, make your changes, and export them as FBX. You can then bring those into the Unreal Editor and package things up.
If you have an Nvidia GPU, you can use Ansel by hitting Alt+F2 while in game. This lets you fly around your character a little bit and adjust the FOV/etc. If that's not enough, you can use the Sandbox Utilities mod (it's a sandbox mod, so you aren't gonna use it in pubs/etc). You go into a free cam with much greater mobility by pressing period.

Yep, you can host a lobby on your sandbox save and use it alone or with others (who are also on their sandbox save and download the mod too).

so i started playing with some of the verified mods but since i started theres like 0 players joining my lobby and when my friend who doesnt have any mods hosts players join instantly most of the time, so i was wondering how do the mods work? i thought that verified mods are just client sided and the game is still normal and doesnt count as a modded game in the lobby selection
People just don't tend to like modded lobbies. If your game is marked as modded they're less likely to join.

You can tell in game by looking at your name in the top right. Should have "(modded)" if that's not there your just unlucky.

You can just use verified mods anywhere. It doesn't make you use a sandbox save.
it also doesn't force you into modded lobbies, verified mods are fully compatible with vanilla lobbies

Hi, we've played with Mission Content Randomizer for a while and noticed On Site Refining missions are basically not affected. We can roll for a long one that outputs like 30,000+ XP but there's no real extended length to the mission. Unlike a super long Industrial Sabotage mission where if you roll a long mission, the hacking pods proportionally have a super long hacking time. https://drg.old.mod.io/mission-content-randomizer/?sort=replyposition-asc Are On Site refinery missions supposed to have an extended refining period? like once the pump jacks go instead of a 5 minute pumping it goes to like 20 minutes?

After writing that message, I did try the game out with mods again and I got stable, good performance, so it would seem that it did! Though, for a disclaimer, I do play with the setting to disable outdated mods, so I'm not sure if outdated mods affect anything, but I could try again later.
Outdated mods might crash the game 😅 But should not have any influence on the fix - The issues was a mix between the mod.io plugin being updated and how/when we have it active. It should now only happen if you are by yourself in the spacerig and even then it should be much less noticeable than before.

also this destroys mod profiles so you can't even save them
Go to the folder C:\Users\Public\mod.io and find the mod there and delete it - look through the DRG game folders and delete any files related to the mod (some mods have savefiles in the "mods" folder - and ofc unsubscribe from it. That should do the trick.

I think the Wiki has most of them documented, you'd likely have to transfer them to a text file by hand, but you'd have most of them in one place

Any blueprint mod that gets a reference to secondary objective from fsd game state crashes now. Same goes for get secondary objective from objective manager from fsd game mode.
The fix is to Get Secondary Objectives from FSD Game State instead of the singular version.

otherwise you could cheese most if not all achievement with specific setups that make it trivial i.e. making game spawn only bulk detonators, so you don't need to grind for them in missions.

i don't think testing mods is their responsibility, but this game has the worst mod support in terms of enabling users to figure out what mods are crashing. The most you get is "there was an access violation in the game"

It can crash and logs only gonna tell you much that problem could be just consequences of mod be having weird and permanently soft locking your world/player in crash loop until you manually fix corrupted data that can be only traced by number that error refers to
Source : player crashed entire server upon join, and I had to reset his dimension id because this was the only number in his data that matched error with same number result

How to sign terms and services for mods?
Not sure where to ask, but whenever I run ANY mod, forging animation, loading screen animation or even mission summary animations see to be sped up for no apparent reason. It doesn't matter if I run stuff such as mod library alone or custom prestige frames, or any other mod. The issue cannot be reproduced while running the game in safe mode. What might be causing this?

Hi folks. I don't know we are allowed to discuss this here but may I ask where I can find mods that will work on unmodded save files please. I am not trying to ruin anyone's experience but I would like to use the mods that guarantee cargo crate, lost helmet, and/or machine event. I know these are possible because I've seen Chinese players run them.

There is no modded/unmodded save file. There is a normal save and sandbox save. If you see (modded) pop up next to your name, it means you have Approved/Sandbox mods on and your lobby is marked as Approved/Sandbox in the server browser. It goes away when not running approved/sandbox mods

sprint by default, hold to walk works inconsistently

@wraith rampart the only essentials i can think off are simple mission timer, wich ads a timer so you don't have to esc to see the time you spent, and rancor's rig hud shows the special beer and missions with modifiers

Afaik no, only by getting this mod (which allows edit most music and expand on already existing so you can have like +20 different Dreathnough music) and adding preferred music by yourself instead.

How approachable is developing cosmetic mods for someone who has never worked with unreal before? What do you need to learn in order?
Is there any logs that I can look to see why I can't install any mods at all?
Already tried all the suggested tips of deleting mod.io folders(public and appdata), subscribing/unsubscribing, enabling/disabling steam overlay, verified integrity and even reinstalled the game.
The default key is H, if you rebound it and don't know what it is now, you can delete the saved settings for the mod and it'll reset (it'd be somewhere within the Saves folder within the game directory). Once you can get in Mod Hub, you can change the key within the mod hub menus.
Depends what you're trying to do. Unreal Editor and Blender are gonna be what you've gotta deal with if you're trying to change any models. They're not the most difficult things ever to learn but they definitely take some figuring out.

You can still get achievements but you can’t declassify it from modded
all the "modded" in the pause screen down there means is you are using any mod. it doesnt affect your save or lobby visibility

it is an approved mod. it'll get turned off if you join someone who doesn't have the mod. you can host while using it and your lobby will display that you're using that mod to users using the lobby browser

honestly approved lobbies dont have a lot of joiners in my experience. the filter defaults to not displaying approved lobbies and modded players tend to be picky about what mods they join into

The one and only time I (accidentally) opened a pub with all my Approved mods it insta-filled, so and I didn't even notice I was still modded until after the mission lmao
surprised there isn't a mod that plays MVM music on the caretaker
the caretaker fight doesn't use different music tracks by default, so it's not a trivial mod to add unique caretaker music (there's frameworks for that kinda thing now though)

There are verified mods that let you continue normally and there are mods that need you to play on a sandbox savegame

verified keeps achievements, you can basically play the game normally. P much exclusively audio/visual changes. Approved marks your game as modded, meaning people will only see it if they enable modded games, and are disabled when joining normal lobbies, but can be used on your main save. Sandbox mods disable achievements, mark your game as sandbox and require you to make another save (also marked as sandbox) to stop you from cheating through the progression. so basically only use audio or visual mods if you wanna keep achievements enabled
another way to think of it is verified changes client side things and approved changes server side
sandbox is changing gameplay itself

Whether or not a approved mod is required by all is just if the client needs to have the files on their end for the mod to function properly. Some mods can be run by the host and will do what they need to do or change the game enough to not classify them as verified. Thus, these mods do not need to be downloaded by clients but they will still be notified of the mod being active.
Approved = changes game in a noticeable way or is required by everyone to function properly
For example, Mission Content Randomizer adds new content to the game, so clients need to download the mod for things to function properly. But a mod like 5x Flashlight Range is optional as clients do not need it for the game to function properly (but it is deemed as gameplay changing enough/giving its users an unfair advantage to mark it as an approved lobby).

Risk of Rain 2 modders can make something like EphemeralCoins to give a needed revamp the meta progression currency, but if you dare touch the precious Blank Matrix Cores your mod goes straight to hell because muh intended progression 🙄
I can understand the idea from the stance of not wanting unmodded players to go into a wacky modded lobby without knowing - and you don't want people spawning things in and cheating their progression through the game (despite the whole progression loop with overclocks being very long and painful). I agree it's all a little wacky especially in a fun PvE game.
Left 4 Dead and Payday are similar games with a strong modding community and fairly lax rules, this just seems like a manufactured issue
