Feel like the speedruning community would be a hell of a lot bigger if we could replay previous dives. Perhaps some system to get the preferred drink buff as well so don't have to wait around praying for the optimal one. Keep special but make it discounted maybe? Plenty of times I've thought of doing an edd run but had pots of gold or tunnel rat and run out of time that day to play.

I semi-pro tip: use the auto aim bullets for the minigun to deal with a lot of swarmers and naedocytes. Any bigger than grunts enemies will be have to be dealt with by someone else.

Never get gold, dont get more nitra than you need, ignore hard to get minerals there is plenty extra on the map, if you have bosco get fast dig and never let him be idle, either ignore waves by calling the escape or be in a room where bosco can mine out objectives and nitra while you fight, mine oil in rows because the windup resets if you click off of the shale.

As silaise said, the time when molly is returning to the drop pod is dead time. I cannot leave until she gets there, but I am faster than her. So it's a good time to pick up nitra you may have missed. I get too cocky twice during the return though and barely make it back at the same time as her so I rush in to save time without depositing. The nitra is still in my inventory on the next stage so it isn't 'lost.' The next stage is escort which is 90% dead time so I have plenty of time to deposit then.
In general I often mine too much nitra outside of dead time as a habit from normal play, the EDD isn't really challenging from a combat perspective so as long as you're floating at least 80 nitra there is no need to mine any outside of dead time.

In general we don't use time split since every stage = a time, the way zhos do is using Livesplit and press a button when he start and end the mission/stage

Yes it can help in regular run, if you play with friend you can make the drop pod fall on the mule instead of 200m away so you gain the 2-3min of molly going back, it's the most obvious technique from deep dive speedrun that can help, the other are most how you build your weapon ( for dread as an exemple) and how you travel in the cave are you fast to move and spot mineral or not

it's easy to explain how to do it
the drop pod doesn't want to spawn on molly so he spawn on the other side of the map, but if a player is on the other side the drop pod doesn't want to spawn on him and than he spawn on the other side of the map from the player position, so on molly
there is some easy mission to do it like egg hunt, when someone go on the spawn room and you call the drop pod on the main room
and sometime it doesn't work since player position need some minimal distance or max ( found about that part on deep dive)
and to do it easily, 3 dwarf on molly one on the other side, always go for 1 dwarf away

Having a Haunted Dreadnaught fight in the first isn't too nice. Also the map this time feels super cramped and linear which is surprising for Dense Biozone.
The Lethal Escort is a right pain for sure.
I haven't even gotten to the Elimination with cave leeches but that's arguably the easiest of the 3 to get through.

The biggest one, Just do it, the more runs you make the better you'll get
After you're both comfortable with the map, spend some out of mission to plan. If you end with tonnes of nitra, you can afford to farm that much less in the next run. Always be going towards an objective.

I’m glad that you’re giving the experience a shot it’s really fun and challenging. The thing is to go by levels, try to go sub 40 then sub 30 then 25 then 20 (depending on the weeks for the sub 20’s). The main thing to do is to map out the objective and find a good pathing between all of them that seems fitting and train on Deep Dives first before doing Elites since it’s the same but basically harder. Solo & Multiplayer is quite different (ex: drop pod location etc) but a thing that is common is knowing the objectives and how to do them in « order » but that’s in the pathing also

That’s what I ment by adapt to objectives: when there are dreads it’s full damage no question. But if not, it’s also depends on the modifiers etc but as Scout I build « speed » & effectiveness. I show my builds at the end of my runs if you want to know more

Stage 1:
Gunner and Driller, drilled to the uplink, cleared the room EPC mined the minerals. Scout and Engi took Molly though the stage normally to get the extra morkite. Call the molly once they broken though the second room.
Stage 2:
Open all the paths as driller, Gunner gets the eggs top side. The rest of the team head though the open path (no dirt wall ) to begin clearing the room. Meet up with gunner on the far side of the room.
Stage 3:
Driller gets rocks, the rest of the team pop and fight the dread. IF the dread targets the Driller, just slow it with sticky flames / TCF to add damage, then continue mining. By the time the dread dies, you should have about 5 rocks.
All in all we weren't speedrunners, this was the second run. Was quite enjoyable to run this one quickly.

boomstick w/ jumbo shells
IFGs, berserk, radius on power attack

thorns doesn't make it so you don't have to deal with them at all, it's mainly just to prevent that one swarmer you didn't see from chewing on you while you are focusing on something more pressing
that's my general scout build, all i changed for this run was take off iron will and replace it with beast master, because i wanted to get zero downs

and 2 tapping is faster than 1 focus shot

Escort and refinery give the least xp per minute. Honestly though if you enjoy the game and play the missions you find fun, you'll be promoted before you know it.

I have no experience with those OC's, but according to meatshields dps calc it's not even the best dps setup
and the calc is already very generous by assuming the +30% dmg buff has 100% upkeep

but pure RoF means more ammo used to keep it up
electrifying reload could be viable for GK2 if you're looking purely at maxing out damage I guess 😛

They were godlike, letting you aggro ENTIRE swarms. Then they got nerfed to the point of uselessness. Now they are alright but still on the weaker side compared to the other scout's nades. They could use a liiiiittle bit of help and they would be a good nade.

What server? The game is p2p. If you don't want to play with someone there's nothing stopping you from leaving their lobby. If people want to cheat and ruin their fun, let them. Level 1000 is also very achievable. That's roughly 2000 hours of playtime. There's plenty of people in this very discord that have achieved that.

Seems to be even a videos cannot prove that its an awesome performance. Most of the criers who pointing out it cannot be done in near 30 mins maybe the likewise haz4 rerally low players. I have a clan to play with and several of them can do that also ( surprisingly the scout is the best candidate for this). If anybody can do this combined with good teamplay and a good attitude it really gives a team an upper tier of playmaking Anyway this video is a proof that with scout it can be done. m1000 is perfect for the tower obj, and keeping a safe distance from aoe mobs in general. A 2.5 cd on the grappling hook with a dwarf speed increase really makes the m1 garand shine.

As machiavelli said, if I remember the room next to the dread is a nice kinda circle open room, we dropped 2 pods opposed from each other, and zip from top to bottom between them, easy rotation with plenty of 02

i dont think its doable sub 25. sub 25 is possible, you cant make any mistakes. literal any mistakes. like a machine
prob can try by driller, but for scout, sub 15 is almost impossible

nah, I accidentally discovered a bug in this month's streaming. This bug allows you to jump directly into the drop pod before molly arrives. Basically, you can save a lot of time waiting for molly to return. After I discovered this bug, I specifically studied how it works, and then I made a video to tell everyone about this bug.
I also jumped directly into the drop pod in this speedrun without waiting for molly.
I told Madel that he spent a day practicing how to quickly jump into drop pod LOL yesterday.
