Game gave you 50% ammo + your magazine. And since the crossbow doesn't have a seperation of 'magazine' and ammo on the Boltshark. You were given a + 3 bolts.

If you’re looking for a more aggressive playstyle with the that build on higher hazards is changing projectile speed in tier 2 for heat shield so 21222. That will help with firing multiple charged TCF shots back back.

I solo'd a Haz 4 Industrial Sabotage as a driller once. Knocking out the armor is super easy. Damaging the eye is a little more tedious though

Flamethrower makes quick work of patrol bots, axes insta kill the arms, and it only takes one C4 to delete the armor. I also take the microwave which is useful for shredders. To actually damage the eye there are probably better options, but the microwave works well enough to do so. I've found not getting the armor down quickly is the biggest cause of failure on the Caretaker, and drilling a nice safe vantage point above the Caretaker makes that part so easy

I don't think this build works well for ArbaLator duo, but still, I'm impressed

If it's solo (can be paused), no one can help. Hopefully it did spawn somewhere. I know that if you've dug terrain out, it can obscure the symbol. Could be in crystal clusters, near jadiz tunnels, or further up or down the map (it was obviously cutting off some of the map at some rotations/angles)

Clean OC is definitely better for all round builds, Overdrive Booster though is IMO better for high damage builds, so you can have it on a more situational setup, like for eliminations or something

The drawbacks are only there if you choose to boost (which you do by pressing R) so technically it has no downsides, just an option that's available in case you want something to die really quickly. Efficiency tweaks isn't bad though, and can also work well as a generalist build

Since the boost is entirely optional, it's definitely worth it. Gives you the ability to melt bigger enemies when needed.
(I would swap extended charge for faster recharge though, so you don't lose as much ammo to the burst)

I think so? The overdrive gives you 2.5x damage, including the damage mod so it would kill stuff faster

Could go middle ground with big dps and 400 rounds, see how that goes for you for 1 or 2 missions. If you see that you rarely use overdrive, go for efficiency tweaks. If you think you need to kill big things even faster and have spare ammo, take damage mod.
Hard to get a feel for these things unless you test em yourself =>=
Either way, shard diffractor is stronk so just point at bugs and watch em turn into melty paste. Can't go wrong with that

I need to tell you a story; Hazard 4 mining expedition, our team only ever found enough nitra for 2 resupplies: one was used on a random dreadnought spawn (which we had to fight in a deep hole because the generation REALLY wanted us dead) and the other was used on the machine event. We were very low on ammo the whole time. By the time the drop pod arrived, bot gunners were downed and both I and the scout went separate ways. Suffice it to say, despite both survivors being on our own, we still met up at the drop pod.
I almost got 2 levels for that whole shitshow lol
