So apparently overwriting the main save (in this case just replacing it) doesn't work

The game keeps overwriting the main save with the blank save no matter what I do, which is infuriating me

You make a copy of your save FIRST (this is important -- else you have nothing to fall back on) with new name, then overwrite the main save by loading the main save then restoring the save file FROM that copy you made earlier

you can't get that one anymore. It's the old version of the supporter pack, back when it was an entirely different armor rather than a paintjob.

As someone already said, the closest you'll got now is by using the Mk2 armor with the supporter paintjob but it'll yield a different result since the cosmetic changed a while ago.
