I started off as Gunner, took hover boots as soon as I unlocked them, I never could play without them. First time I played Scout, I equipped hover boots just because I was so used to it anyway. xd

My Scout is level 25 by now and I still only died from fall damage once, and that was because an Oppressor launched me somewhere and I didn't expect it to launch me that far, so I didn't realise I should've used the grappling hook until it was too late.

secondly, it's just waaay faster to just jump down a cliff instead of drilling there or using 20 ziplines because of the limited angle.

So while it is a good emergency tool, I actually use it for enhanced mobility.

Gunner and driller: dash and iron will
Engie and scout: dash and beastmaster

You wont need hover boots if you are careful enough

And steeve is a good way to conserve ammo

If i need to go down quick, dash onto smth that softens the fall

You should. This doesn’t work with mining modifiers(namely pots of gold), but when it pops it would yield the entire deposit.

I have seen +14 and +16 nodules drop and be picked up when mining with pots(normal nodules are around +4-5)

So your probably wondering how I got in this situation? Well it all started when I decided to try out the bug were you take 0 fall damage in the most reasonable way possible: Falling from orbit. That's when things went terribly wrong. I missed the map and fell through. "No biggie, ill just reappear on the ground."

But, instead of teleporting to the ground, I continued to fall. My cam is pointing up in this image. perhaps the 0 fall damage messed up the teleport?

While the game is frozen, my fps continue to fluctuate, meaning that its not frozen completely. it is using most of my memory and rather than be a blank void, there is cropa shine??? Whats happened
