I highly recommend this strategy for the Caretaker. It isnt a bunker where you stay and wait it out, but rather a safe place of respite when you run out of ammo/health
and if built far away enough the repulsion shields dont reach you (they go as far as those floating axes)
since glyphids dont spawn as much during the boss fight and you will be moving around a lot, bulks wont be a worry like they are when bunkering during salvage
