How is DRG the BEST GAME OF 2021?
- I turned Molly into a gorgeous glowing lightning/rave machine. Some would say she's pure ecstasy, I would agree.
- One of the things I LOVE about this game is the LIGHTING, and the flashlight is boring AS FUCK, so now I turn off my flashlight and carry 2 extra and faster charging flares. The flares are gorgeous, and dynamic, and beautiful, and dynamic, and gorgeous.
- For the times you really need to see something and your scout ahem is MIA, I strengthened the flashlight 5x, so I can see across a big cavern (if needed). In my test runs I still didn't use the flashlight once because the flares are so fuckin' pretty AND functional, but it's there should I need it.
- My beard glows of space and I wear the universe with everlasting decadence. FUCK, YES.
The lighting in this game especially without the flashlight is LITERALLY CAMPING, it's FUCKING IN'TENTS.
TLDR: How DRG is THE BEST GAME OF 2021? I just told you. Dump your flashlight and get better flares.

- Joined my friend's haz5 mission
- Chose to play as gunner
- Got golden engi and chinese scout without promotions join us.
- Then we got into the cave below and it was Low Oxygen too.
- I quickly realised how bad it is since we have greenbeard scout who doesn't know what to do there and we can't communicate with him.
- We checked 2 ends of the cave, from the terrain scanner it's not obvious where compacted dirt is. I was 99% sure that cave is merged with its exit tunnel so there's no chance to find compacted dirt.
- After that I randomly encountered nitra myself, we got very necessary ammo since we were for some time there already and enemies don't wait for us to progress.
- Then I realised the only way to move to the next cave and stay alive is tell engi how to watch through the wall, he didn't know how to do it so he wasted a lot of platforms learning that trick. Anyways, he found the cave and I said him to mark it for driller. Also I said him to use personal mark too since he was running out of platforms but I don't really know if he listened to me. So we started to drill, also I told engi to close exit so bugs won't come in to our tunnel.
- We drilled about 100m before driller got out of fuel, when engi used his last platform the mark was about 100m away from us.
- We started digging with pickaxes, but we quickly realised oppressors were gonna catch up since they were digging faster than us.
- When oppressor made it to me I threw my shield, scout threw cryo nades and we killed him. But it were like the last bullets and the last nades.
- I went into pickaxed tunnel and blocked the entrance with Molly. So it was actually blocking some guards and grunts but swarmers still were going through. And when the Mule wasn't staying still enemies could go through too. We used some See You In Hell and pickaxed some enemies to get rid of existing bugs, 2 wardens ran away.
- 20 seconds later swarm was announced and we got eliminated.

Sometimes I turn off music and my flashlight and try to throw as little flares as possible, and I'm blown away at how great the atmosphere and lighting is in this game
And I barely notice most of the time because I'm laughing with a team and lighting everything up
But sometimes it's nice to soak in that dark dark cave atmosphere, with your gun the only light you have for long stretches of time, stumbling upon glowing crystals, it's great. I truly feel alone deep underground
Is there a mod that gives you only one or two flares, and changes the charge time to a minute? It would be a niche mod but it'd make those atmospheric runs pretty cool with friends

it's alright for swarms but the ammo goes away way too quickly. You're better off using it as a bug deleter on tanky enemies.

Swarm (mostly) refused to come near me. Hazard 4, and while standing near this Tritilyte Deposit I encountered very little pressure (mostly swarmers and a Mactera, and towards the middle some Grunts started approaching, but you can see a majority of the swarm is wandering around on the walls and ceiling).
Music ended because I was in the pause menu for so long setting up the recording.

2 - Bulk also said no on first stage
3 - Made it to second stage after a bulk on the first stage, aaand another bulk said YOU SHALL NOT PASS (first couple minutes of the mission)
4 - Second stage again, bulk shows up (after fighting one in the first mission) we try to kill dread with it, but lowno2 said byebye
5 - Another stage 1 team wipe to bulks and oppressors
6 - Another bulk on stage 1, but we finally finished all 3 stages with several near teamwipes to mini rollybois
A total of 6 bulks in a row.
